2004 Bmw 545i W/sport Package-6 Speed Manual,rwd,loaded,beautiful-112,800 Miles on 2040-cars
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
One owner since new, used as a bi-coastal commuter car (driven monthly California to Philadelphia) Meticulously maintained and loved. Service records on file and available to review, clean title, amazing interior, well taken care of. Wheels have curb rash and some minor scratches on rocker panels Plenty of pictures to view, nothing to hide, I purchased a new Audi R-8 and don't need this vehicle any longer! The Good: 1. Well Maintained thoughout its life - one owner 2. Pain and body in great condition (8.2 - 10) 3. Beautiful, spotless interior 4. Everything works 5. 6 speed manual is responsive and RARE 6. Service records are all available 7. 2 Keys included, original sticker 8. Engine and Drivetrain well maintained, drives perfectly 9. FAST FAST FAST!!!! 10. Great tires and brakes and suspension 11. Mostly highway miles, used car to commute to and from California to Philadelphia and back The BAD: 1. Slight cosmetic scratches on rockers, hardly noticeable - easily repaired 2. Rear window seal has slight dry rot (normal for this car) 3. Occasional very slight coolant leak, most likely from a hose - radiator has been checked and is OK - when car sits for too long the coolant must be topped off 4. Wheels have some curb rash and should be re-finished - normal wear from city commuting 5. Must "tap" gps screen sometimes to get it to not be fuzzy, most likely a loose wire that I will check out and update auction.. This car is ready for another 100,000 miles or more. I no longer need it as I own a Prius in California and an R8 in Philadelphia. GOOD LUCK! PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS! I AM HAPPY TO ANSWER! I WANT THE CAR TO GO TO A GOOD OWNER.... |

2015 BMW 228i Convertible
Thu, Feb 5 2015BMW history is littered with small, four-seater convertibles that offer style, spirited performance and driving flexibility. These days it's the 2 Series range, not the 1 or the 3, that carries on the droptop-driver's-car tradition, and the 2015 228i Convertible will the first flavor of it to hit US shores. With prices starting in the upper $30k range, conservative but attractive exterior styling and just enough interior comforts and amenities to feel like a true-luxury player, the 228i makes a strong initial case for itself as either a first or second vehicle. Concurrent with my First Drive of the 2015 BMW X6 M, the Germans brought along their new 2 for testing along some pretty mellow Texas driving routes outside of Austin. With roads that ranged from sweeping country lanes to small town streets, and weather changing handily from cold and misty to bright and warm, I got a good sample of what the new open-top 2 can do. Drive Notes I'll admit to getting behind the wheel of the 228i convertible with a bit of a bias: the old 1 Series line, including the droptop, was amongst my favorite BMW models in years. In terms of overall character, this 2 Series has mellowed a lot versus the chuckable, cheerful 1er. The steering response isn't quite so whip-fast, and the longer wheelbase means it's less willing to rotate overall. Of course, the 2, especially in convertible form, does feel better suited for the stereotypical small, premium convertible driver, too. Ride quality over our mostly smooth-road drive route was placid and controlled, and steering still felt steady and weighty on center and with lock added in. The car also offers really well-sorted protection from wind buffeting and noise, both with the top raised and lowered. I drove topless on the highway and on surface streets, and was impressed at how cozy I felt with the wind deflector erected and the windows up. Cold-weather convertiblers should do well with this BMW (especially when the xDrive AWD car launches, later in the year). Erect the folding soft top – a feature that's available at speeds up to 30 miles per hour – and the NVH experience is transformed. BMW says that the top-up wind noise has been reduced "by half" versus the 1 Series – a fact that I had no trouble believing after the first few seconds. Wind rush is basically eliminated with the roof raised, and the car becomes a downright conversational space thusly set up.
BMW 4 Series configurator comes online
Mon, 08 Jul 2013The best money in the world might be configurator money - you never run out of it and you can never spend it the wrong way. We hope you're ready to dip into your configurator savings account, because it's time to start speccing out the 2014 BMW 4 Series, the coupe having just arrived in the virtual world.
There are four possible opening gambits: the 428i for $40,500, the 428i xDrive for $42,500, the 435i for $46,000 or the 435i xDrive for $48,000. After you've chosen your first move, there are three trim options: the $1,400 Luxury Line that features lots of chrome and wood (shown), the $1,700 Sport Line that adds lots of gloss black and contrasting trim color and stitching, or the $3,100 M Sport that offers the M Estoril Blue hue and lots of M-division specific accessories.
Starting with the 435i xDrive and M Sport, we then added items like the 19-inch wheels ($900), the Dynamic Handling Package ($1,000), Cold Weather Package ($700), Premium Package ($2,200), Tech Package ($3,150) and the Lighting Package ($1,900) on top of any other box we could check. The total, after the $925 destination and handling charge: $66,749.
Next BMW X6 to be larger, more aggressive
Tue, 16 Apr 2013If the current BMW X6, introduced in 2008, is looking a bit too bland for your tastes, have no fear as the next-generation model is reportedly going to be larger and more aggressive than its predecessor.
Autocar is reporting that an insider has revealed the all-new second-generation X6 will make its world debut at the 2014 Moscow Motor Show, going on sale just after summer. More aggressive styling will help BMW distinguish its sportier X6 from BMW's more practical models, such as the X3 and X5, said the source.
The next X6 will again share platforms with the X5, but it will be stretched slightly to provide second-row passengers with more legroom. Powerplants will also likely mirror those of its mainstream cousin, including a range of turbocharged six- and eight-cylinder engines and a range-topping M model (the 2013 BMW X6 M is show above).
