Wilmington, North Carolina, United States
1976 BMW 2002. E10
Daily driver in good condition. Drive it all day long. Race it. Upgrade it, customize it.
This has been my favorite toy ever since I learned how to drive but I have to sell as I am moving to the city.
So it's in the process of upgrades but rides great as is.
a/c heat and gauges are removed as is the interior carpet and rear seat and trim pieces. They are not included, but I do have some random and miscellaneous parts, service parts that are included. As well as manuals.
It was in a local TNT 2012 movie called Hornets Nest. You can google it but it's a lame movie. Has a sticker that shows it had once been owned by the studios.
New wiring throughout by ez wiring 20 circuit.
Drives great and can be converted to an even sportier bmw. So many options.
fun to play with easy to work on new iPod stereo.
Installed high flow header and 2" exhaust strait out.
All new guages, works great. Tach, GPS Speedo, volt/fuel/oil pressure/temp, clock, vacuum and air/fuel mix (very useful): More info on check out speedhut on the WWW about the gauges. I highly recommend for any upgrades.
Getting ready to install some others....Just a toy that needs to be driven and finished. At your pace...I am done
Serious buyers only.
Pros:
Black. New paint. But Macao job. So it's ok.
Dynamat interior and doors (useless, but what the hell).
4:1 header in 2" exhaust out, nice and throaty.
Gauges by speed hut. Aftermarket. Cool and beneficial.
4 speed. Weber carb. 32/36 dual down draft type
4 rally style lighting.
Selling quick 1976 BMW 2002
It is a carbureted 34/36 2 door 4 speed bmw 2002 in pretty good shape. My daily driver to work, about 30 mpg and fun.
Cons:
No air condition
No heat, I drove it back and forth from work.
No carpet. you can install this website for ideas: google carpet kits for bmw 2002, about $200-300
Sunroof does not work. Caulked to stop water leak. Option for you to do is install a sliding ragtop, sweet, about 500.
Dream on:

Recharge Wrap-up: BMW i8 markups declining, Nissan offering discounted Leaf lease buyouts
Fri, May 22 2015Zipcar has published the results of an independent study on "Urban Boomers." KRC Research surveyed city-dwelling, healthy adults aged 50 to 69, and found that they are fond of technology and are more active – but drive less – after moving to the city. Many still feel car ownership is important, and often don't get rid of a car they already own, but they find alternative forms of transportation important, too. Even though it is often thought of as a bigger draw for millenials, Zipcar feels that these findings indicate that Urban Boomers are an important demographic for carsharing companies. See the results of the study in the slideshow from Zipcar. Nissan is offering lease buyout credits of up to $5,000 for its Leaf EV. Depending on the region, 2012 and 2013 models get a Leaf Gross Payoff discount of up to $5,000, with 2011 models garnering up to $1,500 off. Some dealers may also offer an additional $1,500 discount. It's possible that Nissan wants to encourage lessees to purchase their Leafs after residual values of the car dropped by about six percent in May. Some potential long-term owners could also be concerned over battery life, or be tempted by the updated Leaf slated for the 2017 model year. Read more at Green Car Reports. Dealership markups for the BMW i8 are dwindling. Actual costs of the attractive plug-in hybrid are nearing sticker prices after high demand and short supply led many dealers to exact a higher price for the car. BMW recently announced it would double production of the i8 to help meet demand, which could be behind the declining markups. The i8 has a base MSRP of $136,500, plus $950 in destination fees. Next BMW 4 Series convertible may ditch folding hardtop
Sat, Aug 8 2015In 2007 the E93 BMW 3 Series convertible switched from a fabric roof to a folding hardtop, but reports out of Germany and BMW say that the next-generation 4 Series convertible will go back to a fabric roof. AutoBild disclosed that nugget last month, now BMW Blog says a BMW source told their sister German publication BimmerToday that it's official and "a decision has already been made." The official car of pro tennis clubs around the world, the droptop 4 Series isn't due in dealers until 2020 or 2021 so one would think there remains some leeway about the top. However, teams of designers are working on the new car right now, so it's entirely possible that a design course is fixed. From the time that the model made the switch, fabric roofs have got so good that there is barely, if any, penalty for using them. It's supposed the change is being made to save weight and free up space. The next 4 Series range is aiming for a lot more sportiness, so on top of its CLAR (cluster architecture) body, it's expected to get active steering, adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars, bigger brakes, and brake-based torque vectoring. Detail improvements like reduced-friction wheel bearings, and faster torque transfer for its all-wheel-drive system are on the long list of upgrades. So too are aluminum and carbon fiber wheels, which will likely be developments based on the carbon wheels BMW showed off last year. Driver assistance options will be legion, with remote-controlled parking, semi-autonomous driving up to 40 mph, and hands-free overtaking perhaps among them.
AWD BMW M5 is headed our way
Sat, Jan 24 2015Remember the rumor about the BMW M5 going all-wheel drive? Well, there's definitely some truth there because these spy shots show BMW testing the Autobahn-storming sedan with the ability to spin the front and rear wheels. Our spy shooters grew suspicious when they saw this seemingly normal-looking M5 appearing to turn all four wheels during ice testing. They checked it out and snapped these shots underneath clearly showing power routed to the front axle. While this shows that the tech is at least being tested on a current-gen M5, all-wheel drive is probably not coming until the next 5 Series model, which is already being evaluated. The idea of power going to the front and rear axles for this sport sedan might polarize some hardcore brand fans as a break with tradition. However, the head of the M division thinks the change is a priority to actually put torque down effectively. The future vehicle is slated to get at least 600 horsepower and pack it into a lighter platform. Rear-drive M5 purists can take heart, though. The all-wheel-drive system would reportedly be an option, and it would be rear-biased to still let drivers hang the tail out, if the desire arises.
