1973 2002 TII ‘Euro’

Original, numbers matching 73 TII sunroof, this is a true euro spec car.

This has been extensively gone through mechanically with receipts, all fluids have been changed, cooling- including a re-cored radiator, all hoses and clamps replaced, drivetrain- including engine, trans and diff fluids. Fuel system- including all soft fuel lines and filters replaced. Brake system completely gone through including new front pads and rotors, hub seals, rear shoes, wheel cylinders and fluid. Steering box was refreshed with rag joints and seals replaced. Ignition system including new Bosch blue coil, cap, rotor, plugs and plug wire set. All Electrical has been gone through and is all in working order lights, signals gauges, dome light etc.

Three things were changed over when imported to the US, turn signals, headlights, and speedo. These have all been replaced with proper used euro turns, H-4 lights and buckets and the 220 KPH speedo.

The interior is original so needless to say is worn, seats are the Lux fabric inserts that are rough, carpet is original but in very good shape. Sunroof has been gone through and works flawlessly. Paint is Fjord and was resprayed probably 15-18 years ago, small rust above driver headlight at the seam, spare wheel has minimal rust and the inside of rear deck lid has some rust. Rockers, shock towers all clean.

This is an unmolested, original and a very solid running, driving example of what these cars are.

It is available locally and can be removed from auction before expires.

BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coup'e concept echoes 8 Series

BMW and Pininfarina are planning to debut a new concept at the 2013 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. The Gran Lusso Coupé is designed to be the next logical step forward from the Zagato Coupé, and the one-off creation boasts plenty of BMW earmarks to set the car off as a true member of the German automaker's family. With a long wheel base and a stretched nose, the two door can't help but channel the long-dead BMW 8 Series, and the potent V12 under the hood only reinforces the link.
BMW has been kind enough to slip the world a few teasers, and the images show what looks like it could be the low-slung grand tourer of our dreams. Check out the full press release below for more information, and stay tuned for the full unveiling.

Electric cars and hybrids are here to stay, much to the apparent dismay of some auto enthusiasts, but that doesn't mean they have to represent the death of enjoyable driving. Granted, the initial run of hybrids in the US like the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius weren't exactly tailor-made for aggressive folks behind the wheel, but things are clearly changing. In its latest video, Evo takes a look at three examples from Europe's new crop of electrified vehicles to show that the future of fun motoring is safe and sound.
Evo editor Henry Catchpole kicks things off with one of the most bizarre EVs of the bunch, the tiny Renault Twizy. Its low power and 50-mile-per-hour top speed might make it miles away from a hot hatch, but there's still fun to be had in extracting the most from this little city car. Next up is the Audi A3 E-Tron, which isn't technically available yet. It's a step in the right direction of eventually creating an affordable, fun-to-drive hybrid hot hatch.
However, the main event is Catchpole getting some seat time in the BMW i8. The Bimmer can really fly -literally in this case - and the butterfly-door coupe offers a clear look at the prospects for electrified sports cars. It might not have the power of hybrid supercar contemporaries like the LaFerrari or Porsche 918 Spyder, but the BMW doesn't cost nearly as much, either. See? Improved efficiency doesn't have to mean boring.

BMW will make plug-in hybrid versions of all models

Late last year, BMW made it clear that it would be making plug-in hybrid versions of all of its "core models." The first of those will be the X5 xDrive40e. At the New York Auto Show this week, BMW North America CEO Ludwig Willisch told AutoblogGreen that this enhanced PHEV plan is going to be applied to "every new model." We were asking Willisch if he views Tesla as a competitor to the Bavarian automaker. "I wouldn't say I don't see any competition," Willisch said, "but I still see that a BMW 5 Series and a Tesla are totally different animals." What about the rumored i5 or an i7, we started to ask – "which we don't have" Willisch interrupted Â– that could happen, couldn't it? "Not any time soon," Willisch said. "What we will have are plug-in hybrids. With the introduction of every new model there will be a plug-in hybrid version of that, too." There are people who are asking if the i brand will expand to a truck or a larger sedan, "but this is all the future," Willisch said. "It's not now and it's not the next couple years."
