2010 Bmw 135i Base Coupe 2-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Arlington, Virginia, United States
This 2010 BMW 135i in immaculate condition, the car has been garaged the entirety of it's life and has been taken care of by an owner that has absolutely loved this car. It has a really striking combination of a black exterior with a red leather interior, something sure to turn heads or bring a smile to a driver's face when they see it. The car has been up to date with maintenance, with all maintenance performed by BMW dealers and has been rock solid for its whole life! This really is a package that's not to be missed. The car has these packages and options installed:
I've had a few modifications performed on this vehicle, including a clear bra and 35% ceramic tint installed almost immediately after initial purchase. The clear bra has protected the front end incredibly well, there are no chips to speak of on the front of the car. There are also no holes on the front bumper due to my personal choice to not have a dealer mount the front license plate. Additionally, the car has the Dinan Stage 2 software upgrade, which complies with BMW's warranty (and absolutely makes the car a rocket!), and the BMW Performance Exhaust installed by a dealer. The car as currently configured had its 4 year/50k warranty expire last fall, but the turbos, wastegates and fuel pumps are covered by BMW until 82000 and 120000 miles respectively. The rear tires are brand new, while the fronts have about 10000 miles on them, both are OEM BMW run flats. For any questions feel free to contact me! Thanks for your time. |

BMW working with Dainese to put airbags in motorcycle suits [w/video]
Fri, 19 Jul 2013Addressing the safety concerns of its customers, BMW Motorrad is co-developing a rider suit with Dainese to feature something that's much more common in automobiles: airbags.
Starting with Dainese's D-air Protect System, which is made up of inflatable protectors that deploy in 15 milliseconds, the two companies will integrate the technology into a BMW Motorrad brand, one-piece racing suit, the DoubleR RaceAir. Later a different, street-oriented airbag system that can be retrofitted to bikes will be offered to Beemer riders.
The DoubleR RaceAir is expected to be presented at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan in November, after all required crash testing has been completed.
Europe's BMW 1 Series hatch caught looking fresh faced
Sat, 23 Aug 2014Hey, remember the BMW 1 Series? Yes, German brand's successors to the US-market coupe and convertible have one-upped the old car to wear the 2 Series designation now, but in other markets, our No. 1 crush still lives on, and as evidenced in these spy shots, the entry-level hatch appears to be undergoing a modest facelift.
We've spotted prototypes of the refreshed 1 Series before, with the majority of the car's changes focused around the front fascia. This time around, we're seeing the three-door variant, with wheels seemingly fitting of a Sport or even M Sport trim.
Of course, this One's not for US, as the small BMW isn't slated to come to our market anytime soon. Click through the gallery above to see what we're missing.
Even 'Ring taxi drivers need to respect the Green Hell
Wed, 06 Aug 2014The Nürburgring Nordschleife has the reputation as one of the most difficult tracks in the world to master - deservedly so. With 14 miles of roadway and about 160 corners over a massive amount of elevation change, the amount of grip can change from turn to turn. As the driver of the famous BMW Ring Taxi learned this weekend after a shunt into the barricades, the 'Ring can bite unsuspecting pros just as easily as amateurs.
The video of the incident below shows the M5 oversteering right into the wall as a phalanx of Porsche models arrive behind it. According to Bridge to Gantry, a website that specializes in news about the 'Ring, the taxi's passengers were picked up by another Ring Taxi and driven off with a fantastic story to tell their friends back home. "The accident happened at low speed, there were two passengers in the car, but no one had at any injuries," said BMW spokesperson Cypselus von Frankenberg to Autoblog via email.
The crash also closed track for over an hour to clean up and to haul the stricken BMW away. When a driver making a living from driving lap after lap at the Nordschleife has a crash even as seemingly minor as this one, it just goes to show why the course has the nickname 'The Green Hell.'
