2011 Bmw 135i Coupe M Sport Red W/ Dct Cpo Until 6/30/16 on 2040-cars
North Miami Beach, Florida, United States
For
sale is my 2011 BMW 135i M Sport Coupe with DCT in Crimson Red. I purchased this car certified pre-owned from
Lauderdale BMW in January 2011 with 3,565 miles on it. Since then I have loved
the car but its time to move on to an M3. This has been a South Florida car
its whole life. The important details:
In early 2011 after I purchased the car I had the windows tinted by Lauderdale BMW. I also removed the run-flat tires and have since run only Michelin Pilot Super Sports (all tire receipts included with recorded mileage). I have every scrap of paper on this car including the original window sticker, build sheet, every service receipt (all service except tires done at Lauderdale BMW), instruction manuals, promotional literature, etc. The car overall is in great shape, but there is a scratch in the paint on the bottom edge of the front bumper, passenger side. I came out of the grocery store sometime in 2012 and there it was! I elected to keep the car honest and not have any paint work done so a buyer could see what they were getting. The front tires were just replaced at 40,050 miles. The rears were replaced at 29,637 miles. This car has the perfect option set for the enthusiast who does not
want all of the power gizmos. No navigation, power seats, comfort access, or
fancy controls. Of course it has the basic creature comforts like automatic
climate control, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlights, etc. In
addition to the options and paperwork, the car includes:
More photos, details, Carfax, etc upon request. Test drives welcome! Payment via bank check or wire transfer. |

Hyundai, BMW and Ford win Concept Vehicle of the Year awards
Sat, 06 Jul 2013More than two dozen jurors started with a pool of 23 concept cars introduced at the most recent Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto and New York auto shows, then pared it down to three winners in three categories for the twelfth annual North American Concept Vehicle of the Year Awards. The trophy-bearers are said to be those "vehicles most likely to shape the future of the automobile industry," and lead their classes in the Concept Car, Concept Truck and Production Preview divisions.
Hyundai had two cars as finalists for the Concept Car category, the competition boiled down to the Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis concept, Veloster C3 Roll Top, Honda EV-STER and the Toyota Corolla Furia. It won with the HCD-14 Genesis that was introduced at the Detroit Auto Show, a sharp sedan that sharply divided opinion between those who thought it was too much, those who thought it was too much Audi A7, and those who thought it was perfect. The award panel's judges, however, thought so much of it that it's got two awards in one sitting, not only taking concept car honors, but because it earned the highest overall score in the competition it also takes the crown for Most Significant Concept Vehicle of 2013.
The final selection in the Concept Truck category was down to the Ford Atlas, Kia Cross GT, Nissan Resonance and Volkswagen Cross Blue. The Ford Atlas took the silverware, after also winning the Eyes on Design award - shared with the Nissan Resonance - at the Detroit Auto Show where it was introduced.
BMW revisits its 8 Series
Thu, 04 Jul 2013So why would BMW choose July 2 to release a retrospective on the 8 Series? Could it have something to do with the recent unveiling of the Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe concept, another sleek, B-pillarless V12 two-door, at this year's Villa d'Este? We have no idea, but the timing is likely coincidental.
This three-minute look at the 8 Series talks to Niels Hamann, who was smitten with the long-hooded coupe when it appeared in 1989 and finally bought one in 2004. Hamann also happens to be a project manager at BMW, and that came in handy when he wrote a book detailing every aspect of what was BMW's flagship for ten years but to the chagrin of many only managed one generation.
While we wait for the next clue about the Gran Lusso - 8 Series connection, check out the video below.
BMW readying impressive track-focused M Power App
Thu, 06 Jun 2013There are a lot of questionable automotive apps that people put on their smartphones these days, but BMW has created what could be one of the most useful and integrated car apps ever. The new M Power App, which will be available this summer only for Apple iPhones, allows BMW owners a whole new way to record their performance on the street or on a track. During the launch of the recent BMW M6 Gran Coupe, BimmerPost was able to get a full demonstration of how this new app works.
Far more involved than the current M Power Meter, the M Power App records data from in-car sensors and acts as a telemetry tool to allow drivers to see how they did on a particular track. Aside from an overlay on a track map showing acceleration and braking applications as well as head-to-head comparisons, the app also shows a line graph of everything from brake and throttle inputs to g-force, fuel mileage and engine speed. A small visual on the screen also shows steering angle, and lap times and speeds can all be stored as well. The data can even be shared with others, whether for bragging rights or instruction purposes.
This app works on any newer BMW equipped with the BMW Apps option, but the phone must be tethered to the car and the data understandably cannot be viewed while driving. Scroll down for the video demonstration recorded recently at Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
