Plethora of 2015 Ford F-150 customs runs the gamut at SEMA

Of Ford's customized trucks, two feature the name of famous Ford racers.

Of all the OEMs making appearances at the 2014 SEMA show, Ford owns arguably the most significant group of vehicles, thanks to its new 2015 F-150 and Mustang. While you can look for our Mustang coverage soon, we've managed to sneak out and get snaps of some of a few of the F-150s on display at the company's sprawling, 20,000-square-foot display (look for even more aftermarket F-150 goodness in the coming days).

Of Ford's customized trucks, two feature the name of famous Blue Oval racers, with both Formula Drift driver Vaughn Gittin, Jr. and Global Rallycross Championship driver Brian Deegan lending their unique tastes to the F-Series.

In Gittin, Jr.'s case, his history as a drifter has inspired the design of the F-150 shown above. Riding on a suspension with components from Kibbetech King and Air Lift, this F-150 enjoys 12 inches of travel while its five passengers are kept in place by Recaro seats in the cabin. Aside from those mechanical changes, eye-catching details include the lime-green wheels, which contrast quite nicely with the silver paint. Gitten said he wanted a truck with "on- and off-road capabilities, as well as drifting and jumping capabilities," and overall, this is a pretty handsome job.

If Gittin's F-150 is somewhat restrained, the F-150 Deegan 38 is a far more outgoing, thanks not only to its wild paint job, but to its more comprehensive set of mechanical upgrades that make it arguably a larger showcase. Its 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 now produces over 600 horsepower thanks to upgrades from BorgWarner, Full-Race Motorsports and ProEFI. The suspension bits and pieces come from Fox Racing, while Mickey Thompson has provided the monstrous, 37-inch tires.

Next up, we have the widebody TSDesigns F-150. The custom, all-metal build was designed by Octavio "Topo" Villafana and team, who also did the work on the Ford Mustang that starred in last summer's Need For Speed movie. On top of the aesthetic changes, a Vortech supercharger, Gibson exhaust, Belltech lowering kit and Forgiato 24-inch wheels have been fitted the gray, black and yellow F-Series.

With the popularity of aftermarket tonneau covers, it's no shock that one of the bigger manufacturers in that market has turned its hand to modifying a 2015 F-150. Leer has upgraded a Deep Ruby Red, EcoBoosted F-150, lowering the ride height and fitting a set of Forgiato Concavo 24-inch wheels. Out back a Custom Fit 700 tonneau cover protects the cargo area.

The Pure White F-150 comes from MAD Industries, and builds on the 5.0-liter V8 model by adding a 2.9-liter, twin-screw Whipple supercharger and a Gibson dual exhaust. Thusly equipped, it turns out 700 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, which we'd classify as "plenty." Other changes include a lowered Crown suspension and huge 24-inch MHT Luxury wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico rubber.

The wild child in this group of trucks is the ARE Accessories F-150. Its crazy Axalta paint job comes from Lynch Customs, and it's complemented by a set of DUB Monster 20-inch wheels and 35-inch Toyo Open Country R/T tires. There's more storage space in back, thanks to the ARE ToolMaster HD cap, while Bushmaster fender flares add even more visual appeal.

The lifted, red F-150 is the Nitto Tire Desert Survivor Edition, another 3.5-liter EcoBoost-equipped model. It benefits from a 4.5-inch Rancho suspension lift, which adds new shocks and struts in front and new monotube shocks in back. 20-inch TenFour Special Forces Series wheels and Nitto Terra Grappler tires should be at home off road, while a three-inch DynoMax exhaust ought to add a bit of grunt and add to the 3.5-liter V6's singing voice.

Finally, Fabtech has crafted a black-and-red F-150, adding a ridiculous six-inch lift with adjustable dirt logic shocks, according to Truckin. 37-inch Nitto rubber is wrapped around 20-inch Fuel/OMF beadlock wheels. The front end of the Fabtech F-150 features a custom brushguard, while a vast LED bar spans the roof of the custom pickup.

Stay tuned for more on the aftermarket Ford F-150s of this year's SEMA show. Until then, check out our live photos and scroll down for a few press releases on the show trucks.
