Cadillac HQ has a New York address
Sun, 16 Nov 2014The announcement is yet another milestone in the company's controversial decision to relocate administrative and marketing operations away from Detroit and into the Big Apple.
"The addition of a headquarters office in New York is a key step in Cadillac's ongoing global expansion," Cadillac boss Johan de Nysschen said, according to The Detroit Free Press. "There is no better atmosphere in which to better immerse ourselves into luxury consumer and brand expertise."
Cadillac will set up shop in a roughly 32,000-square-foot space on the building's 15th and 16th floors. The space features 14-foot ceilings and 10-foot glass panel windows. Neither Cadillac nor the building's owners, Cushman and Wakefield, have disclosed the cost of the space, although the Freep reports that desirable space in that part of the city is going for about $67 per square foot, compared to $20 per for the finest piece of Detroit office space.
