Bentley announces Mulsanne upgrades to be shown in Geneva

Proving that there's no such thing as too much luxury, Bentley has released details for the updated 2014 Mulsanne that will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Most of the additions are to improve rear-seat accommodations inside, with the addition of Comfort Specification and Entertainment Specification options.
The Comfort Specification adds some conveniences you might have in your living room, such as padded headrests, stowable footrests and seat cushions filled with duck down. Likewise, the new Entertainment Specification brings tech you might find in your home, including a wifi hotspot, seat trays that are now bigger to accommodate an iPad and keyboard and an entertainment system that gets a pair of eight-inch screens, a DVD player, wireless headphones and premium audio. Rear occupants in the 2014 Mulsanne will also get revised rear door panels with more storage and power-retractable curtains for both side- and rear windows.
Bentley is also offering up new paint and leather colors, too, and to finish it all off, Mulsanne customers will also be able to order a six-piece, handmade luggage set.

Bentley debuts the first Bentayga Hybrid in Geneva

Transcript: Bentley unveils the "world's first" luxury hybrid. Bentley revealed the Bentayga Hybrid at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show. This is Bentley's first step toward eventually going fully electric. The Bentley Bentayga Plug-in Hybrid will include a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine and the "E Motor." The E Motor acts as a generator and electric motor with 3 E Modes: EV Drive, Hybrid Mode, and Hold Mode. It has an electric range of 31 miles with a charge time of 2.5 hours using an industrial connection. Or 7.5 hours using domestic household sockets. The Bentayga Hybrid will also include: traffic sign recognition, rear crossing traffic warning, top view, a 360 view of your surroundings, and park assist detection. Bentley confirms SUV for 2016

It looks like the addition of a Royal Baby isn't the only big news coming out of the UK this week. Bentley has ended all of the will they/won't they speculation by confirming today that it will produce an SUV. Earmarked to go on sale in 2016, the as-yet unnamed Bentley SUV will help create an extra 1,000 jobs in the UK.
While no concrete details have been released, Bentley says that it will be the "most luxurious and most powerful SUV" on the market. Past rumors have indicated that the SUV could look completely different from the 2012 EXP 9 F Concept shown above, be renamed the Falcon and offer options like a plug-in hybrid version and three-row seating. To prepare for a fourth model in its lineup, Bentley will be investing 800 million British pounds (around $1.2 billion USD) into its Crewe headquarters and production lines over the next three years.
