I bought this car for my collection, but life is unpredictable and change is inevitable. So I have to sell some of my most valued assets. The car was driven sparingly and always well taken care of throughout its life starting with its first owner. Over the years, the car was stored in a climate controlled garage, only being driven averaging 1,887 miles per year and on special occasions. It is kept in meticulous mechanical condition.  I can only tell and attest to the unbelievable mechanical and cosmetic condition of this car. It was regularly serviced by an authorized Bentley service authorized dealership keeping all aspects of the car in tip top condition. No rust whatsoever since it was a Florida car until I bought it.

Really, here for your consideration is a car which is ALL ORIGINAL with the exception of the sound system which was professionally installed and it sounds like live symphony orchestra! Original Bentley radio is included and it can be reinstall if desired. This car as of today displays 22,298 original miles, [as of this writings], making it a truly special automobile.

PLEASE DO NOT MISS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO OWN THIS CAR! Schedule a test drive by calling me at seven five seven, three seven three, three two five seven, you will not be disappointed with the car. The car would be an unbelievable value for any buyer as it stickered with all options for over $230,000 in 2001 with the back seat wood trays as the only exception. There is a whole lot of luxury, performance, and engineering in this car for the amount of money which will be paid for. It is a car which would satisfy even the most discerning luxury car buyer or would fit well in the collection of a true Bentley aficionado! I will accept a reasonable offer and end the Ebay auction but I am not hard pressed to give it away.

It is a car you must see in person to believe and I highly encourage any bidder to inspect the car in person before bidding. This car is sold as is, where is with no existing or implied warranty. I am open to a variety of payment options (cash, money order, cashier’s check, wire transfer), but, as in any normal sale, the money must clear my account before the car and title is released.

CONDITION:

Exterior

The exterior on this car is about as solid as one can get. As you can see in the pictures, the original Navy Blue paint shines like nothing else you will find. The only imperfections to be found are minor rock chips and scratches on the rear bumper, I found only a few on the entire car and if I didn’t go over it so stringently I would have never seen them. Even for a car with such low miles, the exterior looks stunningly new. The only flaw of the exterior is some very minor scratches on the lower areas and a small ding on the left rear quarter panel, all too minor to see unless very close. I am aiming to be overly critical of this car so that the buyer knows just how good the car is and with full disclosure up front.

Interior

The interior is also immaculate with the Magnolia Leather interior playing well with the Navy Blue exterior. From the headliner to the carpets, the interior shows as new.  As clique as it may seem, the interior even still smells of "new car" which is pretty incredible for a car that is now 12 years old.  All seats look as nobody ever sat on them.   The car comes with ALL ITS FACTORY BOOKS, 2 KEYS with REMOTES, NAVIGATION AND STEREO REMOTE CONTROLS, ORIGINAL BENTLEY RADIO, BOOKS & OWNER’S MANUALS PLUS ALL ORIGINAL BENTLEY FLOORMATS !.  As you can see from the photos. the interior is nothing short of magnificent British art with acres of thick leather, chrome knobs and real wood!

Underhood

All original. clean and sanitary. EXACTLY as delivered from the factory. There is absolutely nothing to fault under the hood of this car.

Undercarriage

As you can see in the pictures, the undercarriage photo taken when it had its oil service and inspection, is clean, well sorted, and obviously rust free throughout, typical of a car with such low mileage and kept in a climate controlled garage.

Trunk Area

As new, original Bentley umbrella in the trunk, all in meticulous condition.

 Ride Qualities

This car has been kept in a climate controlled garage over the last 12 years, only being started and taken out on weekends to keep the car in fantastic mechanical condition. The car still has the feeling of floating as you cruise in it, as any new Bentley Rolls-Royce rides. This car feels tight and factory new, the motor has been serviced appropriately throughout the car's life and it pulls extremely strong through the gears. The transmission shifts smoothly at all speeds and ALL electronics are in perfect working order! Please schedule a test drive with me and and you will see for yourself how nice this car is !

 Bentley History and Brief Description

In 1999, the Rolls-Royce/Bentley divorce was being finalized, with Rolls-Royce going to live with BMW and Bentley awarded majority ownership to VW. But for a brief period of time between 1999 ~ 2002, a limited number of only 2,273 Bentleys were produced worldwide and got the spectacular turbocharged Rolls-Royce V8s co-developed by Cosworth! These Bentleys were the last of the big cruisers fully designed in-house by Rolls-Royce engineers and craftsmen. Original sticker base price, a whopping $209,900.00 before options, shipping, and taxes. The original owner was into this one for a cool $230,000.00 plus! Today you can enjoy that sybaritic hedonism in grand style for a fraction of the original price. The Bentley Arnage by Rolls-Royce is instantly recognizable anywhere, and putting a train’s cow-catcher on the nose would not improve its ability to part slow-moving traffic. In typical Bentley fashion, the bodywork is beautiful, tasteful, elegant, and sublimely finished to the highest standards. Even parked next to an S-Class Mercedes, the paint on the Arnage is notably nicer. There has never been any damage, no accidents, and the car has obviously been professionally maintained from day one by someone who cared. It cuts an imposing figure, and will never, ever be mistaken for anything else. Show up in this one and people figure you’re a captain of industry or a movie star, and no one will ever guess that you paid less than a new Cadillac Escalade for it. Nobody else does interiors like the British, and this one is like a gentlemen’s club that can do 143 MPH. The hand-crafted interior features Connolly leather, detailed stitching unique to Bentley, real woodwork, Wilton carpets, smooth chrome switches, and a complex curvature for the dash panel and center console. Is it art? Well, perhaps, and once you’ve settled in there you’ll feel like a million bucks. Cream-enamel-faced gauges are spectacularly retro, and every single component feels expensive under your fingertips. And if you’re lucky enough to be a passenger, the rear seat is commodious with more stretch-out room than a Suburban. Power comes from Rolls-Royce’s  rugged and powerful 6.7 Liter turbocharged V8 co-developed by Cosworth, which makes 400 HP @ 616 LBS of torque in Bentley tune. It’s enough to make this car formidable on the highway, and it wafts along in eerie silence at anything below 100 MPH. The Rolls-Royce powertrain includes a 5-speed automatic gearbox, whose quick reflexes make the big car feel 3000 pounds lighter when the road starts to get challenging. Actually, its mannerisms make it feel like a car that’s begging to be driven with the hammer down, just like the Bentleys of yore. With a fully independent air-ride suspension, disc brakes the size of trash can lids, and fat 255/55/18 radials on chrome alloys, its ability to hustle will astound you.

Bentley EXP 100 GT is an electric vision of luxury in 2035

Wed, Jul 10 2019

Bentley has just pulled the wraps off its latest concept car, and it's predictably opulent and indulgent. It's called the Bentley EXP 100 GT, which is a nod to the company's 100th anniversary this year, and it's a look at where Bentley wants to be in the year 2035. It's fully electric, has full autonomous capability, and is draped in high-end materials and outrageous design. The design really is striking. Its carbon fiber and aluminum body is enormous at 19 feet long, yet it's just a two-door coupe. The front overhang is nearly nonexistent, but the tail stretches way behind the back wheels. Signature round headlights blend into a fully illuminated grille. Even the hood ornament and center trim piece on the hood light up. The doors open in a scissor fashion just like a Lamborghini. At the back, the car features OLED taillights. The wheels even have active aerodynamic panels, and apparently the Pirelli tires can, at least conceptually, change their pattern and contact patch for various driving conditions. Under the sizable yet slinky skin is a fully electric powertrain. It features four motors, one for each wheel, to provide full torque vectoring. They deliver a lot of torque, too, at 1,106 pound-feet. Bentley says the EXP 100 GT should hit 60 mph in under 2.5 seconds and have a top speed of 186 mph. The battery pack can provide up to 435 miles of range, and can be charged to 80% capacity in 15 minutes. The car can be driven fully autonomously or manually. The EXP 100 GT naturally has an over-the-top interior to match the exterior and powertrain. It can be configured to seat two to four people. It's trimmed with 5,000-year-old wood salvaged from peat bogs, and copper has been infused with it. Fabric trim features fiber optics woven in for illuminated patterns. The leather is not from animals, but rather created from byproducts of wine making. Crystal is featured heavily, too, and it is used for getting information about the onboard AI. The AI system works to keep you comfortable, and to do so, it monitors your mood with biometrics, even detecting your blood pressure. It can alter the amount of light in the cabin, the temperature and other settings. A unique feature of the car is the ability to simulate lighting conditions from past drives if the current weather is dreary. The car even has a unique scent that can be applied to the cabin that's a mix of sandalwood and moss. Will we see a Bentley like this reach production in 2035? Time will tell.

2015 Bentley Mulsanne Speed

Tue, 18 Nov 2014

Why does the Bentley Mulsanne Speed exist? Sam Graham, product line director for the Mulsanne, tells us Bentley's Western customers demanded it, many driven by memories of the Arnage T - the hotted-up version of the Arnage R. The Arnage T, you may remember, arrived in 2002 and threw down 459 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque on its way to being billed the most powerful production Bentley ever. Today's Mulsanne Speed picks up the torch and takes it all the way to the Olympic stadium.
Driving Notes
It starts with an upgrade to 530 hp at 4,200 rpm and 811 lb-ft of torque at a limbo-esque 1,750 rpm. That's an additional 25 hp and 86 lb-ft compared to the standard sedan, enabling a top speed of 190 miles per hour. That torque figure makes it second only to the Bugatti Veyron among production cars, and that terminal velocity makes it the fastest ultra-luxury sedan on God's Own Green.

2021 Bentley Flying Spur V8 First Drive Review | Making a scene at the ends of the Earth

Fri, Mar 26 2021

Even in the face of fading four-door relevance, a new luxury sedan still turns heads, and that goes double when it’s sporting the Flying B. The 2021 Bentley Flying Spur V8 marks the return of the “entry-level” variant of BentleyÂ’s storied touring sedan, and perhaps for the last time, as parent company Volkswagen appears poised to electrify its flagship luxury brand. As luxury nameplates go, Flying Spur really isnÂ’t all that long-running. It was used on a handful of cars in the late 1950s and early 1960s and then mothballed for four decades, returning in 2005 as part of the same Volkswagen prestige project that brought us the Phaeton. The two were even assembled side-by-side for a brief period at one of VWÂ’s German facilities while BentleyÂ’s factory in Crewe scaled up; that probably went over far better in 2005 than it would have in 1959.  My oldest remaining memory of the (then still a Continental) Flying SpurÂ’s modern incarnation stems from a write-up by a journalist who had embedded with some of VW GroupÂ’s engineers in South Africa. They were subjecting it to hot-weather validation, running the prototype (disguised as a Mercedes-Benz) deep into triple-digit territory on remote, dusty highways in a once-unforgiving and distant corner of the globe. The whole thing seemed very romantic to a 20-year-old college student and budding European car nut. The notion of a 190-mph super-sedan being tested in a locale that was once the southern terminus of the known world seemed almost mythical, and it left me with the lingering image of the Flying Spur as the sort of conveyance one might employ in a quest to reach the very ends of the Earth. Naturally, it wasnÂ’t long after Bentley asked if I wanted to sample the new Flying Spur V8 that this association bubbled up. LetÂ’s face it, though; taking a road trip in a grand British luxury sedan needs no justification. This isnÂ’t a car that requires an occasion; it supplies one all on its own. The 4.0-liter V8Â’s 542 horsepower may not hold a candle to the W12Â’s 626, but it also has to contend with 200 fewer pounds. Combined with cylinder deactivation, the V8 manages a 16% improvement in fuel economy, eking out 15 mpg in the city, 20 on the highway and 17 combined. The base V8 model also lacks the W12Â’s standard all-wheel steering and electronically controlled anti-roll bars, but those are still available if youÂ’re willing to cough up some extra cash, and relatively little of it, all things considered.
