PERFORMANCE

A V8 FOR THE 21ST CENTURY.

The Mulsanne benefits from a re-engineered V8 engine, providing extra range and improvements in efficiency of 13%. Yet with an 8-speed automatic transmission boasting an electronic shift interface, there is no compromise on performance: the Mulsanne is capable of 184 mph (296 km/h). 

The effect of this REFINED power is striking, whether experienced from the driver’s seat or as a passenger in the back. The atmosphere remains tranquil, even as the outside world disappears in a blur. 

While a Sport mode exists for the serious DRIVER – complete with a steering wheel-mounted paddleshift system – it is important to note that the Mulsanne was built for more than dynamic driving. COLOUR AND CHOICE

The arrival of the new Mulsanne range brings a wider array of colours and finishes. There are over 100 exterior colours and four paint finishes to choose from, alongside 24 different coloured leather hides and 10 VENEERS.Additionally, the Bentley factory can match any colour you provide. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, a bespoke colour scheme can be created just for you.

Among the options available is the twin electrically- deployed picnic tables with concealed iPad® holders*, while the 2,200w Naim® for Bentley premium audio system* offers everything the audiophile demands. And in a nod to the hedonistic age of the Bentley Boys, a frosted glass BOTTLE COOLER* with crystal champagne flutes can be installed.

Craftsmanship – it’s probably the word that best sums up the extraordinary quality and finish of the Mulsanne. In an era where even some luxury cars are assembled in a matter of hours, we work in a more meticulous manner – at a pace set by the attention to detail and commitment that every one of our craftsmen and women bring to their jobs.

Virtually as much time is spent on trimming out the Bentley Mulsanne’s cabin as is taken on building the rest of the car. One look at the end result and the reasons are clear. No stitch out of line. No shortcuts taken. No settling for great when perfection is possible.

Take something as seemingly simple as seatbelts. Not only are the seatbelts in the Mulsanne colour coded to match all of the 25 leather hide colours available for the interior, but even the buckles are too. Everywhere you look in the cabin you’ll discover small finesses that signal a more REFINED approach. For instance, you can choose contrast stitching or seat piping, or embroidered Bentley emblems. Even the carpets, which are now even more luxurious with an extra thick pile for added comfort, are specified to match the shade of leather you choose. After all, there’s nothing quite like putting your foot down in a Bentley.

CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY MEETS CUTTING-EDGE DESIGN.

The Mulsanne sees traditional craftsmanship teamed with ultra-modern automotive technology, to create an environment like no other. It is a space designed for thinkers. For visionaries. For drivers and passengers who insist on perfection.

The Mulsanne includes a 14-speaker sound system with Digital Signal Processing (DSP). Audio perfectionists have the option to go even further: the Naim for Bentley system comprises 20 SPEAKERS, 22 channels and 2200 watts of aural perfection.

Attention to detail is everything in the Mulsanne. The dashboard is measured to accommodate the thickness of leather that wraps around it precisely. The infotainment screen it surrounds, meanwhile, can be concealed behind a VENEERED panel when not required for route navigation, rear camera view or other control functions.

The entry system supports pre-programmed configurations for multiple DRIVERS, automatically adjusting the car’s settings, depending on who takes the wheel. Radio stations, phone BOOKS, steering column, seat belt and seat settings (including front and rear ventilation and massage modes) can all be pre-programmed and stored. The result is a car that remembers your every preference.

The interior of the Bentley Mulsanne is unlike any other car in the world. Step inside and you immediately become immersed in a unique atmosphere where carefully positioned mood lighting and the aroma of leather are complemented by knurled stainless steel, smooth wood VENEERS and cutting-edge technology. All exquisitely packaged for your comfort.

The attention to detail on show is befitting of a flagship Bentley. Take the sumptuous leather, handpicked from herds in cooler climates where the lack of insects means blemish-free hides. Soft and supple, they are then tanned in a traditional process, originally used during the construction of fine furniture pieces that optimises their natural aroma. 

A stunning continuous wooden waist rail surrounds the entire cabin and our world-famous mirror matched VENEERS make a perfect symmetrical pattern across the entire car. Only in a car like the Mulsanne could you achieve such a remarkable design signature.

The optional BOTTLE COOLER holds two champagne bottles in a canted position (so that a half-full bottle can be placed there without spillage). Its contemporary design with a powered, frosted glass cover and white LED lighting is complemented by the champagne flutes, designed for Mulsanne by David Redman of London and was inspired by the 5-spoke Mulsanne alloy wheel design.

The Bentley Mulsanne now has a range of new features available,  designed to enhance rear cabin privacy and comfort:

The Entertainment specification with iPad picnic tables and wi-fi hotspot gives you the opportunity to work, catch up with social media or just relax with a movie or your favourite music.

The Comfort specification includes rear seat headrests with airline "sleeper" style adjustable wings, foot rest and loose cushions all matched to your vehicle interior.

Privacy curtains, electrically-deployable and fully integrated into rear doors and seat surround, give the rear cabin a feeling of opulence and complete privacy from the outside world.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

ADVANCED AND ELEGANT IN EQUAL MEASURE.

The Mulsanne is a sight to behold. Superforming technology has created striking design lines – sweeping yet sharp, they bestow a unique aura of power and refinement.  The Mulsanne’s large, inset headlamps are instantly recognisable as those of a Bentley, while remaining unique to the Mulsanne. They flank the iconic Bentley matrix grille that covers the radiator, finished in eye-catching polished stainless steel. 

The Alloy wheels represent yet another feature designed and crafted just for the Mulsanne. Together with their counterpart exterior details, they serve to identify a modern automotive classic.

Nevertheless, options to enhance the exterior do exist. The front wings can be adorned with ‘Flying B’ style wing vents as part of the Mulliner Driving Specification*, for example, while perhaps the most distinguishing addition that can be made is the trademark ‘Flying B’ radiator mascot*.
