Excellent Carfax, Clean Title. "autocheck" Incorrectly List 5 Owners, Only 3. on 2040-cars
Lafayette, Indiana, United States
This "Excellent Condition" Bentley Arnage Green Label is painted in the desirable "non metallic" gloss black exterior color, complimented by a black leather interior with red pipping. Factory options include special ordered additional wood panels in all doors, a full leather headliner instead of felt, Bentley chrome mag wheels, sheepskin floor mats and a leather lined power sunroof. The stereo is upgraded to satellite with CD and an iPod plug in. Green Label Badging was replaced by Red Label logos to coordinate with the red pipping inside as preferred by the designer/artist owner. The Carfax report is spotless and list this Bentley Arnage as "above average" showing 3 previous owners and no accidents or damage. AutoCheck shows 5 owners because the softwear doesn't realize that when an owner moves and titles the car in another state, it's still the same owner. It's a three owner, never wrecker or damaged, rust free, beautiful car. Note: This superb Bentley is a preowned car and therefore has some small signs of wear from use. One item did get past me for the listing, the automatic trunk/boot release button needs a new actuator, ecu, or both , the trunk still opens fine with the key. The car has now traveled just over 60,400 well cared for miles. This is the real thing, a beautiful Bentley, a car people dream about owning, but please, no dreamers when bidding. Local pickup only, shipping is the buyers responsibility. Thank You. "Green Label" or "Red label" what's the difference? As a previous owner of several Bentley's I'm often asked what the difference is, here is the real story. It begins when BMW bought Bentley and they were determined to solve the reliability problems with the engines and electronics that historically haunted British cars. They created the perfect engine for the Arnage as a result. A brilliant fast and reliable 4.4 liter V8 with a 32 valve overhead cam, twin turbo, 5 speed transmission and advanced Bosche Engine Management Technology. This advanced engine produced dramatically better mpg with much less maintenance than any Bentley before, this is what's known as the "Green Label." Then Volkswagen bought Bentley in a hotly contested purchase that ended up splitting off Rolls Royce from Bentley. This resulted in BMW keeping Rolls Royce and Bentley going to VW. Volkswagen immediately went back to the old 6.7 engine, 16 valve, 4 speed transmission, single turbo, pushrod motor with less advanced engine management. They had to strengthen the frame as well to handle the extra weight because the car was not designed to carry that motor. These 6.7 engine equipped cars became "Red Label" Bentley's. Why would they do that, because they feared BMW would not supply the advanced 4.4 engines they had developed for the Arnage. The PR spin at the time said the reason for the 6.7's return was demand and that story seems to have worked very well. I have owned both and I loved them all, the 6.7 is awesome, it does have a little more torque and goes zero to sixty 0.03 of a second faster than a 4.4, but it simply cost more to own because it's just not as advanced, and that's the real story. Be careful, once you've had a Bentley nothing less will do, it is the greatest road car ever made. |

Bentley helped a customer outfit a yacht to match their Continental GT
Wed, Jun 9 2021Luxury automakers continue to expand into new areas and offer new services to provide their clients custom, high-end products. Sometimes that involves fancy apartments or garages. In the case of this Bentley Continental GT buyer, they wanted their new yacht to match their nautical-themed luxury coupe. So, Bentley and yacht-builder Contest Yachts obliged. The yacht is a 59-foot Contest 59 CS, and the Continental GT is the V8 variant. The car features a dark blue exterior and "Hotspur" red leather, "Linen" quilted leather and light-stained wood trim in the interior. The yacht features nearly the same specification with a slightly different paint color on the outside, but actual leather sourced from Bentley to trim the interior. The wood used for the bed, cabinetry and other parts of the yacht's cabin closely match the car's trim, too. Bentley says this is a one-off, and indeed, you're likely not going to see another pairing exactly like this. But we suspect that as long a client is willing to put forth the undisclosed amount of money, they would happily collaborate with Contest or another company to custom match a car and a yacht. We wouldn't be surprised if they'd be willing to help match more things, like a private jet and a car. Just have a big enough pocketbook and the options are just about limitless. Related video:
2015 Bentley Mulsanne Speed Video Review
Wed, Oct 7 2015"It feels like a million bucks and it's only $400,000." I completely agree with this statement from editor-in-chief Mike Austin, that you'll hear in the video above. I spent a weekend with the 2015 Bentley Mulsanne Speed and can honestly say that taken as a whole, every single part of this sedan works together to make it feel like the absolute fanciest car in the world. The big story with this Mulsanne is the Speed part of its name. Bentley's 6.75-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 is massaged to produce 530 horsepower and an absolutely astonishing 811 pound-feet of torque. Still, this is a nearly 6,000-pound car, so even with all that power, the Mulsanne Speed isn't a rocketship. A sub-five-second run to 60 miles per hour is, of course, nothing to scoff at – especially in a car that's built like a bank vault. But that quickness is masked by the stately, luxurious, wafty nature of the Mulsanne. This is a Gentleman's Car, after all. Despite its overwhelming luxury, the Mulsanne isn't the most modern car around. A lot of the switchgear screams last-generation Volkswagen to us, and in contrast to the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600, a lot of the Bentley's interior feels a little behind the times. No matter, it's still a rolling embodiment of class, refinement, and upper-crust exclusivity, and it'll turn heads in a way that the long-wheelbase Mercedes simply cannot. Don't just take my word for it, though. Let editor-in-chief Mike Austin tell you all about the super-luxurious, super-fast Mulsanne in the video, above. 2021 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid revealed with tech improvements, same powertrain
Mon, Jan 4 2021The 2021 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid is here, and it’s treated to the same round of updates as the rest of the refreshed Bentayga lineup. That means it gets the new exterior design, a thoroughly revised interior and plenty of new tech. Nothing on the powertrain side has changed for the plug-in hybrid Bentley. ItÂ’ll continue to make do with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 aided by an electric motor. Output remains the same at 443 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque combined. EPA range is not yet available, but given the 31-mile NEDC-tested range hasnÂ’t changed, we donÂ’t expect the 18-mile EPA-rated electric range to budge either. The biggest upgrade draw inside is the new 10.9-inch infotainment system. ItÂ’s the latest and best Bentley has to offer, and it features wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto. A wireless phone charger, new USB-C ports and a larger rear seat touchscreen remote tablet round out the best of the interior changes. ThereÂ’s more space for passengers in the rear. And Bentley upped its luxury game with a redesigned dash, instrument cluster (digital), door trims and steering wheel. The seats are re-done for even more comfort, too. Bentley hasnÂ’t detailed any fine tuning changes it may have made to the way the Bentayga Hybrid drives, but given our disappointing first drive a couple of years ago, we hope there are some unsung, under the hood improvements. The telltale sign that itÂ’s the PHEV is via the tiny “Hybrid” script on the lower door trim. Bentley says the updated Hybrid is available to order now, but we donÂ’t yet have a full breakdown of pricing. Expect it to maintain its status as the cheapest Bentley in the brandÂ’s lineup.
