2008 Audi tt convertible owned by an Older very fussy couple so it in excellent and clean condition in and out! You wont find a nicer tt out there. Hand washed and detailed weekly by us, including leather treatment on the seats. Very low babied miles and only 2nd owners. First owner used as a summer/2nd car which is why the miles are so low and I drive very little. The car is a non smoking, no pets, no food and no drinks allowed. We always keep it garaged. The maintenance was completed as follows...1000 miles ago air filter and cabin pollen filter changed. Oil, filter and lube completed at 21,000 miles. 1200 miles ago clay bar and high end quality wax job was done. The paint is super shiny and smooth. There is a problem with the rear light housing on this model/year so they were replaced on both sides late last fall wit the new ones that will not fail. A couple of small curb rash spots were fixed a couple fo months ago so the rims look amazing. The maintenance booklets, all tools in trunk, first aid kit, floor mats and 2 keys are included. We installed a chrome package on the front grill which adds a lot of nice detail to the front end! Double chrome exhaust tips were just installed also. There is no damage to the exterior or the interior. There is a very tiny ding from a stone on the front bumper that is too small to even sho up in the picture. The tires are in good condition with plenty of tread left. The break pads are in really good condition and do not need changed. The leather has no rips or cracks or major wear at all. There are not any stains or smell to the carpeting, the mats are the Audi mats. The trunk is perfect with no stains or damage. The top is full power, the seats are full power, it has the non automatic shifting option (I don't know what it is called), tire gripping/slip control option and the cd player holds 6 cds. Of course there are heated seats and temp controlled heat/ac. The car has plenty of power with this 2.0 engine as it is such a tiny car and is a turbo. As you can tell we had no intentions of selling this car any time soon but my husband was a victim of down sizing at his place of employment and with the huge pay cut the car must go this spring or summer. I drive about 40 miles a week on errands so the miles will increase slightly from the current amount. I do have the title on hand. I am not intersted in trades or low ball offers as this is a great deal already and needs nothing but a new owner that enjoys the wind in their hair. I owned a tt convertible for 7 years before this one and I loved it so I am sure you will too! 910-524-0855 for more info. Inspections are welcome. We have a main ebay account under completeangel that has 100% feedback of 951 feedbacks.

Wagons make a bit of a comeback, with new models, sales on the rise

Thu, Jan 10 2019

Consider this an official invitation to hop on the wagon bandwagon. There's still tons of room because, well, it's a wagon (and market share is still extremely small). But according to new data, the segment is growing. According to a report from Bloomberg, using data from Edmunds.com, roughly 211,600 Americans purchased wagons in 2018. That is technically down from the 237,600 sold in 2017, but wagon sales in the U.S. are up 29 percent from where they were five years ago. It's also the third year in a row that wagon sales broke the 200,000 mark. The sales trends have been somewhat representative of the availability of wagons. New models have debuted during the past 5 years and therefore offer more opportunity at more brands to buy wagons. In addition to more modest cars such as the Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen, several luxury and performance brands are offering wagons today, such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Jaguar, Volvo and Buick. (Bloomberg's headlines make the point that "crossovers are for the Kardashians," and wagons are just, well, classier.) This uptick in brand-name availability, as well as extremely well-executed design on most of the wagons currently available, has helped increase the segment's desirability. That, and its ability to better accomplish the same tasks at hand while standing out from the crossover and SUV crowd. Still, the posted numbers represent a small fraction of the total vehicles sold. According to the data, wagons only held a 1.4 percent market share in 2017, the segment's best recent year. Wagons hold a steadfast place in America's past, and they're writing an interesting new story. With the downturn in traditional cars, they may continue to create an unexpected narrative. U.S. tariff threat hits European automakers' stocks

Thu, May 24 2018

FRANKFURT, Germany — A U.S. warning that it may introduce tariffs on foreign auto imports hit shares in German carmakers BMW, Daimler and Volkswagen on Thursday, which together have a more than 90 percent share of North America's premium car market. Washington said on Wednesday it had launched an investigation into whether car and truck imports are a national security issue due to signs they had damaged the U.S. auto industry. That could lead to new U.S. tariffs — up to 25 percent — similar to those imposed on imported steel and aluminum in March. BMW and Daimler shares fell as much as 3.1 percent in early Thursday trading, while Volkswagen's dropped as much as 2.5 percent. "(U.S. President) Donald Trump is obviously not thinking about how to prevent a trade war. Import duties on cars would be a nightmare for the German auto industry and would lead to a massive sales impact," said Thomas Altmann at Frankfurt-based asset manager QC Partners. BMW on Thursday condemned the move to consider tariffs. "The BMW Group is committed to free trade worldwide. Barrier-free access to markets is therefore a key factor not only for our business model, but also for growth welfare and employment throughout the global economy," it said. Daimler, which makes Mercedes-Benz cars, and Volkswagen, which makes upmarket Audis and Porsches, were not immediately available for comment. German carmakers produced 804,000 cars at local factories in the United States and exported 657,000 German-made cars into North America last year, according to German auto industry association VDA. China took pains on Thursday to welcome German firms and investments, with Premier Li Keqiang talking up relations after a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. BMW and Mercedes have expanded production capacity in the United States, but BMW, Audi, Volkswagen and Daimler have also invested billions to build new factories in Mexico in the hope of selling locally produced cars into the United States. German carmakers hiked vehicle production in Mexico by 46 percent to 620,000 cars last year, while production levels inside the United States fell by 6 percent to 804,000 cars because of a shift to Mexico, according to the VDA. BMW has its biggest factory worldwide in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and is the largest vehicle exporter among all the carmakers in the United States measured by value of goods exported. More than 70 percent of BMW's U.S.-made cars are exported.

Audi readying diesel PHEV models for US and Europe

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

With the racing pedigree provided by the Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the German king of Le Mans is capitalizing on the connection between its road cars and race cars at every opportunity. Maybe there's an entire range of Le Mans Editions for the automakers diesel-hybrid offerings, with perhaps Tom Kristensen acting as the brand's spokesperson for the technology in Europe. You'd be wrong, though, because despite the R18's overwhelming successes in endurance racing, Audi the road-car manufacturer doesn't offer a single diesel-hybrid production car.
This factoid will hopefully be as short lived as it is disappointing, though, as a diesel-electric is around the corner, according to the brand's tech boss, Ulrich Hackenberg. In fact, it gets better than a mere diesel-hybrid; it will be a plug-in diesel-hybrid, only the second to hit the market, alongside the European-market Volvo V60.
According to Hackenberg, the new tech will be the result of a marriage between the brand's well-received 3.0-liter, TDI V6 with an electric motor. The next-generation Audi Q7 (shown above) will be the initial recipient, confirming previous reports that claimed a PHEV TDI could come to the next-gen CUV. Its MLB architecture, meanwhile, would allow the plug-in-hybrid-diesel powertrain to be fitted easily enough to the A8 luxury sedan. While the new Q7 should hit the market at some point in 2015, it's unclear when the PHEV TDI model could see the light of day.
