Oem Rs4 Conversion Nhra Roll Cage Widebody Audi on 2040-cars
Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada
For sale is my 2000 s4 that I converted to an "outlaw RS4"
I had all the OEM RS4 panels shipped directly from Germany and professionally fitted by a body shop. I had the following imported from Germany : OEM RS4 front bumper complete with grilles and fog lights, I do have a set of wagner fogless grilles that will be included as well OEM RS4 fender liners (all four) OEM RS4 front fenders OEM RS4 rear fenders OEM RS4 side skirts OEM RS4 front and rear doors OEM RS4 gas flap OEM RS4 rear bumper ( I modded the stock S4 rear bumper to fit, as I did not like the look of the RS4 rear bumper...I can include the RS4 rear which requires extreme modifcations to make it fit) OEM RS4 door sills I then purchased a Eurogear Carbon Fiber vented hood and Eurogear Carbon Fiber Euro Trunk and a 2 Bennett carbon fibre sunroof delete. Both were color matched to the car. I had a custom DOM roll cage installed that was certified to NHRA 8.5 second specification. The car was a clean silver s4 sedan that was never in an accident and has no rust what so ever. The car was stripped down and the body panels were fitted to the car. The rear fenders had to be cut and welded in, and the rest of the parts were professionally fitted. I opted to keep the car the original silver, since it was going to be a race car with no panels fitted inside. The car has no drivetrain and no front brakes. The interior has been stripped (carpet removed, seats removed, dash removed, door panels removed). The heater core and blower was removed as well. I will include the original dash and the rear diff from the car. There are no seats, carpet, door panels or motor or transmission included with the car. The car was painted the original color, double the clear was used and the body was wet sanded to achieve a perfect finish. The carbon fiber hood and trunk were color matched. The roll cage was painted satin silver. The front bumper has been wrapped in bubble wrap to protect it as it would of had to be removed off the car to install a motor. In all the pics the hood was just floating and not attached in any way, hence the weird look. The body and paint work alone cost me $13,000. The rs4 panels cost me $7500 The rs4 door sills cost me $1000 Eurogear hood cost $1300 Eurogear trunk cost $1000 2 Bennett CF sunroof delete $600 Rollcage $3700 Clean S4 shell $2500 I have just a little over $30,000 invested in the car, no expense was spared. This isnt for everyone, but someone will save a bunch of money, time and sweat when they purchase this car. Car is on stock wheels, not the enki rpf1s seen in pictures. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs, there is a $1000 non refundable deposit that must be paid within 24 hours of auction ending. Feel free to come and view the car in Maple Ridge BC. Any questions let me know. Thanks |

Refreshed Audi A6 gets ready for Paris debut
Fri, 21 Mar 2014The Audi A6 remains a solidly luxurious choice in the deeply competitive executive sedan segment, duking it out with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series and Lexus GS, among others. Having been on sale since 2011, though, it's starting to become just a tiny bit stale. Cue the refresh.
Expected to make its debut in October at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the long-roof Avant/Allroad variant shown here gives us our first glimpse at some of the tweaks Audi has in store for its A6 range as a whole.
In general, this is pretty standard refresh stuff - new headlights that retain the same general shape as the current car but add a new DRL pattern, while there are also some subtle tweaks to the front fascia. The rear taillights have also been freshened (although as only the A6 sedan is sold in the US, it's likely the taillights we see will be different), and some minor changes have been made to the rear bumper. According to our spies, the cabin and MMI infotainment system could see some tweaks, while the oily bits under the hood could be in for for some minor changes as well.
Recharge Wrap-up: BMW i3 carshare, Audi e-gas plant
Thu, Jul 16 2015Elix Wireless has announced its E10K Wireless Charging System. The system is designed for harsh conditions, delivers up to 10 kilowatts and features automatic detection and removal of foreign objects. Its low frequency makes it safe to operate near oil and gas, and in other hazardous environments. The system can charge personal vehicles, as well as electric buses, trucks, mining equipment and heavy duty machinery. Elix has "created an entirely new technology that meets customer demand for fast, safe and reliable charging," says, CEO David Smith. The E10K system uses Elix's Magneto-Dynamic Coupling technology, with rotating permanent magnets in the transmitter and receiver. Read more at Green Car Congress, or in the press release from Elix Wireless. FreeWire Technologies and Siemens are working together on a pilot program for the Mobi Charger. The mobile charging station, which uses second-life EV batteries to charge electric vehicles, will be deployed for a trial at LinkedIn's campus in Mountain View, CA. The Mobi is more flexible than stationary chargers in that it brings the charging to the car, regardless of where it is parked, rather than having to park the EV in a specific spot. It can charge up to five cars per day without putting stress on the grid during peak hours. Read more from Siemens. Audi's e-gas plant in Werlte, Germany helps stabilize the power grid. The plant, which produces synthetic methane using CO2, water and electricity, is able to draw six megawatts of power within five minutes, allowing it to become certified in the electricity balancing market. This helps the grid adapt to the larger load fluctuations that go hand-in-hand with generating renewable energy. It also allows the plant to achieve higher operating times and produce more e-gas each year. Read more in the press release from Audi. The BMW i3 is now available through the DriveNow carsharing service in Germany. DriveNow, which is a joint venture between BMW and car rental company Sixt, has put 100 i3s into service in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. BMW also says that it supports a shift away from private car ownership in order to improve urban living and mobility, and sees electric carsharing as an important part of that. "We are witnessing the changes our customers and society as a whole are making and we are taking them on board," says BMW's Dr. Bernhard Blattel.
