OK WOW this is such an amazing car ABSOLUTELY MINT CONDITION INSIDE AND OUT IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY!!! No wear on the leather either, absolutely fresh/as new even the drivers seat!
EASY $12,000 + in important upgrades!!! I have the original window sticker in hand. There is simply no comparison between the way this S4 drives/accelerates/brakes/handles/looks and a standard S4. PLEASE drive one then drive this one, WOW what a tremendous and SUBSTANTIAL improvement all around! NONE BETTER/MORE THOROUGHLY SETUP and NONE CLEANER NO EXCUSES 1 OWNER CAR! I will try to convey just how awesome this is: -"Silk Nappa" two tone leather (Black and Red) Power seats and Heated seats (SWEET BLACK HEADLINER!) -Vossen 19" wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires! (NEW w 1,000 miles on them PERFECT w no curb rash or wear!) -6 Speed manual transmission -BRAND NEW German clutch to hold the loads of extra power (car has approximately 480 hp!) -100 miles on NEW OIL CHANGE which is CORRECT oil and filter, I am not saying normal "compatible" synthetic oil like Mobil one is not good however I used oil that is actually specified by AUDI and there is a difference. -VERY IMPORTANT factory sport rear differential which is CRITICAL for handling and performance in the extreme, shifts the power to the outside rear wheel in turns, many people did not order this and this car has it -FULL Factory carbon Fiber interior (dash/doors/center console etc...) looks AMAZING -Upgrade factory leather on the seats with Red centers and Black bolsters (THIS LOOKS AMAZING and ZERO wear!) ALSO Red stitching on the sport S4 steering wheel to match! -APR stage 2 FULLY adjustable (on the cruise control stalk for various octane levels) engine computer upgrade with Supercharger pulley adds 130hp! Professionally installed -FULL AWE exhaust literally EVERY single inch of the exhaust from the exhaust manifold back! SOUNDS INCREDIBLE YOU JUST HAVE TO HEAR THIS WOW!!! (see images) (also have the stock complete exhaust) (ADDS horsepower and torque over and above the APR tuning and Supercharger pulley) professionally installed (I have a video I can text you for the sound of the exhaust first thru second gear just text me 262 434 7000 and I will send it) -FULL EXPENSIVE COLD AIR INTAKE which is brand new and has large cone K&N style filter with a breathing end too! Powder coated intake pipe and cold air block off wall, professionally installed! (I did EXTRA work on this to make it truly ice cold air, first of all I opened up the lower vent which is fake from the factory and it looks exactly correct / factory and it brings in all cold air, secondly I wrapped the intake pipe and cold air wall with 1/2" thick Ceramic insulation that is backed by FACTORY looking aluminum dimpled on one side, it looks like the same aluminum pattern that is on the firewall from the factory, anyway it keeps these items completely cool/insulated from engine compartment heat so there is no heat soak after the car is all warmed up! VERY professionally done 100% and such an important touch in my opinion) -1 owner -FULL Carbon interior (dash/door panels/center console) -Bang And Olufsen ("B&O") stereo which is AMAZING+ with Sirius and CD and external IPOD input etc... these are such amazing stereos! -Moonroof -Black and Red "Silk Nappa" leather interior with Power seats and Heated seats (SWEET BLACK HEADLINER!) -LOADED with every possible power option of course -Active Rear Differential (a must have for performance and so many people cheap out on buying it?!?!?) -RS4 Black grill w S4 badge (still have the stock grill included w car) professionally installed -BRAND NEW German "Sachs" clutch and flywheel to handle the extra power JUST put in! Professionally installed! -"Eurocode" BILLIT Black anodized Chassis brace (see pics) (this is really awesome for chassis stiffness and integrity and is NOT cheap!) Professionally installed, the car feels even MORE solid than any normal AUDI B8/S4 which is saying a lot! This ties in 6 major suspension and chassis points. -Camber and Castor adjustable upper suspension components which are REALLY awesome and make such a tremendous difference/upgrade both for performance and tuneability! (see images) Professionally installed -Eurocode AWESOME sway bar end links (SUPER SUPER HEAVY DUTY!!! W ADJUSTABLE HEIM ENDS ETC) (See images) Professionally installed -Eurocode LARGE ADJUSTABLE RED SWAY BARS WOW! What a tremendous improvement/difference!!! Professionally installed -H&R lowering suspension (still adjustable with the factory 3 mode electronic center console mounted switch) this is almost 2" lower but the ride quality is still awesome and the clearance is not any issue (there are effectively NO scrapes in the underbody!) (I still have the stock parts also)(see images) Professionally installed -Carbon Fiber rear Diffuser which is really sweet looking 100% Professionally installed -FRESH upgraded higher performance brake pads and HIGH Temp fluid -Window Tinting is Professionally installed and just right No cracks or chips in the windshield EVERYTHING is perfect on this amazing car! NO detractions ANYWHERE! If you have ever driven a B8 S4 AUDI you know how awesome they are HOWEVER this car is on a completely HIGHER LEVEL!!! Handling/power/braking/sound/looks are FAR above any normal S4! You will not find a better S4 anywhere (I have never seen one), I hope you have driven a stock one BEFORE you come here because trust me there is NO COMPARISON period!!!! Audi says fixing diesel emission problem is simple
Fri, Dec 11 2015Audi reportedly has a simple repair nearly ready to fix the emissions problem on 85,000 vehicles with the 3.0-liter TDI V6 in the US. "Swift, straightforward and customer-friendly solutions are in discussion," company exec Rupert Stadler told workers in Germany, according to Reuters. In late November, Audi announced that the 3.0 TDI had three previously undisclosed auxiliary emission control devices, including one that was potentially considered a defeat device under US law. At the time, the German automaker claimed it could repair the problem with just a software update. Stadler's statement indicates that just such a simple fix might be on the way. Even before Audi's disclosure of the emission control devices, the Environmental Protection Agency issued a notice of violation against the 3.0-liter TDI for allegedly having software to defeat emissions tests, and the agency later expanded the scope to any vehicle with the engine from 2009 through 2016. The affected models include the Audi A6, A7, A8, Q5, Q7, Volkswagen Touareg, and Porsche Cayenne. New diesel versions of these vehicles have a stop-sale. Audi offered owners of affected vehicles the same $1,000 Goodwill Package that parent company VW offered to its affected diesel owners. The money is split up into a $500 gift card and $500 to spend at the Audi dealer. The package also comes with extended roadside assistance. Audi needs to find a solution quickly because it's under a 45-day deadline from the California Air Resources Board to submit a recall plan for the 15,000 vehicles with the 3.0 TDI in the state. The automaker also must include a report on any effects to fuel economy and performance from the proposed repair. Related Video:
2017 Audi S4 goes running naked through the Alps
Thu, Sep 3 2015Audi just launched its new A4 sedan barely more than two months ago, bringing with it a raft of improvements over the outgoing model. And you know what that means: A new S4 performance model is just around the corner. Fortunately, that's just what we have here in these latest spy shots, snapped completely undisguised. Spotted testing in the Alps, the new Audi S4 is closely based on the new A4 we've already seen, benefiting from all its enhancements and weight savings. Only it promises to be more potent. Where previous S4s packed V8 engines and the current (outgoing) model pressed a supercharged V6 into service, this new model is tipped to switch to a fresh turbocharged V6. Expect power to rise from 329 horsepower up to 340 or more, and with less weight to motivate, we can expect performance to improve markedly in the process. Along with a more powerful engine, the S4 clearly stands out visually from ordinary A4s with bigger intakes, upgraded rolling stock, quadruple exhausts, and more. We'll have to wait a little longer to find out all the sordid details, but from the look of it, we won't have to wait long. In fact, we'd be surprised if Ingolstadt didn't take the opportunity to unveil it at the Frankfurt Motor Show this month, so watch this space for more and scope out the photos in the gallery above in the meantime.
A car writer's year in new vehicles [w/video]
Thu, Dec 18 2014Christmas is only a week away. The New Year is just around the corner. As 2014 draws to a close, I'm not the only one taking stock of the year that's we're almost shut of. Depending on who you are or what you do, the end of the year can bring to mind tax bills, school semesters or scheduling dental appointments. For me, for the last eight or nine years, at least a small part of this transitory time is occupied with recalling the cars I've driven over the preceding 12 months. Since I started writing about and reviewing cars in 2006, I've done an uneven job of tracking every vehicle I've been in, each year. Last year I made a resolution to be better about it, and the result is a spreadsheet with model names, dates, notes and some basic facts and figures. Armed with this basic data and a yen for year-end stories, I figured it would be interesting to parse the figures and quantify my year in cars in a way I'd never done before. The results are, well, they're a little bizarre, honestly. And I think they'll affect how I approach this gig in 2015. {C} My tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015 it'll be as high as 73. Let me give you a tiny bit of background about how automotive journalists typically get cars to test. There are basically two pools of vehicles I drive on a regular basis: media fleet vehicles and those available on "first drive" programs. The latter group is pretty self-explanatory. Journalists are gathered in one location (sometimes local, sometimes far-flung) with a new model(s), there's usually a day of driving, then we report back to you with our impressions. Media fleet vehicles are different. These are distributed to publications and individual journalists far and wide, and the test period goes from a few days to a week or more. Whereas first drives almost always result in a piece of review content, fleet loans only sometimes do. Other times they serve to give context about brands, segments, technology and the like, to editors and writers. So, adding up the loans I've had out of the press fleet and things I've driven at events, my tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015, it'll be as high as 73. At one of the buff books like Car and Driver or Motor Trend, reviewers might rotate through five cars a week, or more. I know that number sounds high, but as best I can tell, it's pretty average for the full-time professionals in this business.
