2006 Audi S4 Base Sedan 4-door 4.2l on 2040-cars
Portland, Maine, United States
REDUCED! Virtually perfect 2 owner, Silver 2006 Audi S4. 83,150 miles. Meticulously maintained, needs absolutely nothing. Far too many options to list but featuring 344HP V8, tiptronic Auto Transmission with paddle shifters, Quattro, all leather Recaro interior, carbon fiber trim, Nav, iPhone hookup, moon roof, heated seats front and back, rain sensing wipers, and I'm just getting started. This is a fabulous practical sedan with astounding performance. Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, less than 10k. Brand new rotors and pads all around, synth oil just changed, other recent maintenance leaves this car in perfect mechanical condition. Extra set of alloy wheels (minus 1) with Michelin X Ice snows, less than 5k on them. You will not find a finer example of a 2006 Audi S4, and it's 100% stock other than extra stiff rear sway bar that does not effect ride at all but totally eliminates body roll. Hate to sell it, but bought a Honda S2000 sports car, wife says I can't have both! Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping and for all related charges.

Audi trademarks SQ2, SQ4, Q9 and F-Tron nameplates
Thu, 26 Dec 2013Audi is planning a whole raft of new models for the near future, and now we have further insight into what at least some of those models might be. The German automaker has reportedly filed trademarks for a series of model names, including SQ2, SQ4, Q9 and F-Tron.
Following in the footsteps of the SQ5 performance crossover, the SQ2 and SQ4 nameplates would seem to indicate that Audi is planning performance versions of its upcoming compact crossovers. The Q9 would suggest that a larger crossover is in the works to slot in above the already gargantuan Q7. And the F-Tron name could be used for a fuel-cell version of the A7 or other models, following a similar naming pattern to the e-tron range of electric vehicles.
Of course Audi could simply be filing these trademarks as a safeguard and may not actually build any of these models. But one way or another, it indicates a certain measure of intent exists as Ingolstadt gears up to expand its lineup with 11 new models in the next few years.
Audi TT Ultra Quattro Concept throws lightness at the problem
Thu, 25 Apr 2013Audi is celebrating the 2013 Wörthersee Tour with a special concept version of the company's TT. The Audi TT Ultra Quattro concept tips the scales at just 2,449 pounds thanks to some extensive engineering work. The company pulled nearly 95 lbs from the car's body structure and used carbon-fiber reinforced plastics for many of its detachable body components. As a result, the concept weighs in at a full 220 pounds lighter than its production counterpart. Throw in a wicked turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 310 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, and you get a machine with the power to weight ratio in the supercar realm. 0-60 comes up in 4.2 seconds and top speed is listed at 173 mph.
Inside, the TT Ultra Quattro features plenty of carbon fiber trim, and designers also fitted the seats from the R8 GT to save a little weight. The buckets use CFRP for the seat frames, saving nearly 50 pounds in the process. In a world where automakers seem blind to the negative effect of throwing more heft at a vehicle, we're in love with the Ultra Quattro concept. Audi design chief Egger leaving for Italdesign Giugiaro
Thu, 05 Dec 2013Wolfgang Egger, Audi's chief designer, is leaving the company according to a Automotive News Europe, which cites a report from Germany's Automobilwoche. Egger won't be going far, though, remaining within the Volkswagen family and taking up head design position Italdesign Giugiaro, a VW subsidiary as of 2010.
Egger took over the position at Audi from Walter de Silva, and has been responsible most recently for the Audi A6 and A3, as well as the 2010 Quattro Concept and the E-Tron Concept. He previously was head of design at Lancia and then at Alfa Romeo, where he was responsible for the achingly gorgeous 8C Competizione.
If Egger does move to Italdesign, his successor is likely to be Marc Lichte, the Volkswagen designer behind the current Golf. Of course, these personnel changes haven't been officially confirmed, and Audi is thus far refusing to comment on either Egger or Lichte's possible career shifts. We'll stay with this one, so sit tight.
