2005 Audi S4 Avant Wagon 4-door 4.2l on 2040-cars

What we have here is a very rare, sporty wagon. There weren't many B6 S4 Avants made, and even less equipped with a manual transmission. In fact, for 2005 Audi only imported 3 Goodwood Green B6 S4 Avant's - and it is very likely this is the only manual one! This is a three owner car, and I have extensive records from the second, owner. The records date from 2007 to current. One very notable record indicates at 55k miles the engine was replaced with a brand new one under warranty by Audi. So although the chassis has 130,000 miles, the engine has about 75,000 miles. If you are in the market for a B6 S4, you probably are familiar with the timing chain issues. Well the new engine in this car is fitted with updated timing chain guides and tensioners, which make the chances of this car having those issues much less likely. As for recent maintenance: -Oil changes under my ownership every 5k miles, most recent one 5/4/14 at 127,000 miles -New Michelin Pilot tires mounted March 2014 at 125,000 miles -Front brake rotors and pads replaced, Dec 2013 at 118,000 miles -Rear springs, front lower control arms, fuel filter, battery & oil/filter replaced 8/9/13 at 115,623 miles (previous owner) Plus much more in the records. Please note: This car is my daily driver, and mileage will go up. At the moment, it is literally about to hit 130,000. This car is used and is sold AS-IS! I have tried my best to describe the car as honestly, and accurately as possible. I urge any potential buyer to come look at the car or have a local professional inspect it. No joy rides...I don't want some yahoo burning out my clutch! Thanks for looking, do not hesitate to contact me with questions. |

Audi spending an additional $2.5 billion on expansion through 2019
Thu, Jan 1 2015Every year, it seems the Volkswagen Group announces a new and larger spend to push growth and profit, with Audi a regular recipient of the moolah. That's reasonable, seeing as hauls in 40 percent of Group operating profits. In December last year Audi said it would spend an additional 100 million euros ($122M US) per year through 2018 to develop new models and expand production, targeting 60 models by 2020 and luxury sales leadership. This month Audi said it will boost that by another two billion euros ($2.5B US) over the next five years, for a total outlay of 24 billion euros from 2014 to 2019. Something like 70 percent of those billions will be spent on new models, technology like "connectivity and lightweight construction," and factory expansion at its plants in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm. Most of the ten models that will plump the lineup to 60 cars will mainly be aimed at the C and D segments, as well as crossovers, the brand's burgeoning portfolio of PHEV models, and all-electric cars that will begin staking ground in the segment. The big spend comes at the same time as Audi is working hard to reduce costs by $2.5 billion to maintain profitability, part of a larger push by VW to cut costs by $6.1 billion by 2017. More than a billion euros will go to new factories in Mexico and Brazil. Work begins on the Mexico plant next year, and when it comes on-line in 2016, Audi's Q5 successor will roll out of its warehouse doors; Audi has already announced it will hire 850 more workers next year in Mexico. When that's done, Mexico's production of German luxury cars will only trail that of Germany, China and the US. The company's Brazil plant will produce the A3 and S3 starting next year, and the brand figures luxury car buying there will triple by 2017. Audi reveals new beefed-up A8 L Security
Tue, 14 Jan 2014
Audi claims is the lightest armored vehicle of its kind.
If there were ever a sedan that deserved the descriptor of "luxury," surely it's the Audi A8. Particularly in long-wheelbase form. But for many of Audi's wealthy customers around the world - namely those in developing markets - there can be no greater luxury than security. And for just those customers, Audi has announced the new A8 L Security.
Audi looking for Tesla-style, non-traditional way to sell EVs
Fri, Nov 27 2015As part of Audi's notable EV emphasis at the Los Angeles Auto Show last week, there was a bit of a secondary discussion on just how the automaker might get to the point where 25 percent of all of its sales would be electric vehicles. After all, no major automaker has figured out how to crack into the double-digit percentage of plug-in vehicle sales. The problem might be, as The New York Times noted recently, that traditional dealerships just don't know how to sell EVs. While no one at Audi was saying that the automaker is going to open up its own EV stores, like Tesla has, but two Audi of America executives were certainly warm to a different style of how an automaker can encourage EV sales. Filip Brabec, AoA's director of product management, said that Audi is at least considering making changes, including some sort of different dealership experience and perhaps a new kind of test drive. "The traditional automotive approach is not necessarily working," Brabec said. "A lot of it has to do with the complexity of the product and the complexity of the offer and it's difficult, I think, to bring that into a classical dealership and sort of treat is as another car and off we go. I think there needs to be some differences in how we go in the future." AoA president Scott Keogh said that Tesla has shown the rest of the industry how to make selling EVs a complete experience. It's not just about the car, he acknowledged. "I think we have to give Tesla credit where it's deserved," he said. "I think the charging network, at least from a public relations point of view, is quite strong and that's definitely added to the message." So many automakers want to have that, "Tesla fighter," as we've heard over and over recently, but Keogh hinted that Audi could do a better job than Tesla is doing today. "I think they've done a good job of looking at the full package. I think we have some resources and the network and everything else that we can put a fuller package together." The most important part is getting people into the cars, Brabec said. "I think exposing consumers to EVs, letting them experience EVs is another big aspect, and probably different than we have today, because test driving a car today is a very conventional thing. It's probably not going to be as conventional with EVs, particularly if you've never been in one before." We can't wait.
