LET ME SAY IF YOU DONT HAVE FINANCING IN PLACE DO NOT BID.   I ended the auction to sell for an offer that was made and the funding wasnt there.  I am not waiting for a buyer to figure it out after the sale.  Get your ducks in a row before you bid.

With that said I dropped the buy it now by $200.  The car is worth every penny.  This is the cheapest s4 I can find for sale on line right now that is a daily driver (except the ones missing the ridiculously over priced front bumper)

I buy and sell motorcycles and cars.  I took this car as a trade about a month ago.   So here it is up for sale.

2002 Audi S4 Twin Turbo  APR Stage 3 Kit, Coilovers, 18 inch real BBS CHs

It has the apr stage 3 kit on it.  See apr website (maf, injectors, ko4s, y pipe).  Not sure when it was installed.  Car came from a dealer friend who bought it at auction. Currently car is in valet mode.  Boosts to 12 psi and runs great.  No check engine codes.   I swapped another ecu that was from a friend with another program (not specific to the injectors or maf from apr) Car boosted full boost with no problem in first and second gear.  Didnt want to beat on it in without proper program and until we could set fuel parimeters properly.  After running for 5 min it threw an egt code.  re installed apr ecu and cleared egt codes and have run for a few 1000 miles with no issues or further codes.  I called apr and it is $150 to but registration in my name and $95 shop rate to set it up locally.  Then the owner will have apr flash and setup to change and run whatever apr setting they want (valet, stock, race, etc).  I do not keep these cars so I didnt do it.   Smells like it runs a little rich right now.

Ac blows ice cold.

Car just made 4 hour trip from highpoint nc to charleston sc without problem.  I would drive this car anywhere.

Car has short shift kit.  Drive Train Stabilizers (DTS).  Single 3 inch exhaust, looks like someone built it custom.  Dowpipes flex coupler mesh is deteriorate.  Not leaking but can see it will need to be replaced eventually.  Coilovers, was told H&R but not sure.  No radio.  Cold Air intake.  Vent boost guage.  Upgraded intercoolers.  Diverter valves.

Exterior has scrapes and dings.  Front bumper is a junk fiberglass rs4 bumper.  Neighbor is a body man and it is not saveable.  I would buy a $375 rs4 poly bumper off ebay and be done with it.  Rear bumper has a scrape and little crack.  Drivers door has two spots of rust not bad and the fender wells paint have rub marks.  I would run it way it is.  If it bothers you can tackle it over time.  It isnt necessary to finish it all at once.

Interior is pretty nice.  Sport interior I think.  Brushed aluminum look on trim.  Black Leather with Alacantra inserts.  Dirty but from reading a little magic eraser will clean it and a sweater shave kit takes off the little balls on the alacantra.  No stereo head unit.  One in car but doesnt fit hole and only works when it wants to.

Abs light on.  No braking issues at all.  Pixels out on dash display ($100 fix and common on these cars).  Brake light warning comes on.  Think it has wrong bulbs in the rear taillights.  Gonna look at tomorrow.  All lights work just warning beeper beeps.

BBS CHs were originally silver and were painted black.  Marks on wheel are just where they need to be painted again.  Paint is wearing off.

Feel like I am missing some details.  Easy project that someone can daily drive.    It is being driven by my girlfriend daily right now.

I have a ton of pictures of the car online.  And a video of it running.  If you message me I will send a link to you for the pics on photobucket.

Have spare motor with k03s (was gonna build for a tial turbo kit) in storage and a mess of sensors and parts, body components.   If you need anything specific let me know. .

The car has some surface rust on the suspension and hardware.

Car was an auction car that my buddy bought and I traded another car to him for it. No maintenance records come with cars from auction. Assume it needs the basics. If it was me I would do the timing belt, waterpump, valve covers, cam seals....that service kit that ecs tuning. The ecu is not damaged but I dont have way to switch apr program. Upon calling APR they informed me that in order to access the various programming options I have to pay them $150 and take to local shop. Local shop told me it would be $95 on top of $150. It is faster then stock and rides nice so why spend more if I am not keeping it. I didnt price it at a built stage 3 price. It is a good runner.

Car Club USA: CleanMPG Northwest Rally

Tue, May 19 2015

Car Club USA heads to Los Angeles for the CleanMPG Northwest Rally, where a group of like-minded hypermiling enthusiasts led by Wayne Gerdes attempts to drive from Los Angeles, CA, to Bend, OR, on one tank of fuel. For this challenge, Wayne tapped some of the most accomplished hypermilers in the world, including Guinness World Record holder Bob Winger and Mike Sefton, "the most fuel efficient driver in all of Canada." It doesn't take long for the competition to get heated. "They're not aggressive enough, and it's not going to save them anything by being soft right now," says Gerdes as the group attempts to navigate the Interstate traffic. "Driving in Los Angeles is a hyper miler's nightmare," says Winger. The trip will challenge both car and driver, while putting the latest fuel-efficient tech to the test. Wayne is piloting the Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen TDI, Sefton drives the Audi A3 TDI, and Winger attempts the trek in a Honda Accord Hybrid. It's diesel versus hybrid tech on this fuel-efficient trip of a lifetime. Each Car Club USA episode features a different car club or event from across the US, where passionate owner communities gather to share automotive experiences and embark on incredible adventures. From Main Street cruises to off-road trails, catch all the latest car club activity on Autoblog. Audi re-illuminates Sport Quattro with Laserlight concept for CES

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

Automakers typically spend months working on a concept car, then unveil it at a car show and move on to the next. But Audi has demonstrated a propensity at refining the same concepts and bringing them back for more. Just look at how many time Audi iterated its E-Tron concept, and how many diesel R8s it toyed with. It brought the Italdesign Parcour out of retirement and rechristened it the Audi Nanuk, and it's been doing the same with the Quattro concept for the past several years. The German automaker rolled out the first Quattro concept back in 2010, and followed up with the reborn Sport Quattro concept less than a year ago. And now it's preparing to unveil yet another.
Called the Sport Quattro Laserlight concept, this time it's not as radical a departure from the Sport Quattro concept as that was from the first Quattro concept. In fact, there's really only one vital difference. That'd be the laser headlights "that leave all previous systems in the dark," according to the press release below. The system uses matrix LEDs around the outside of the element as low beams, and lasers on the inside for high beams. Measured in mere microns, the laser diodes are significantly smaller than LEDs, while lighting up the road ahead for nearly half a kilometers (1,640 feet), providing twice the lighting range and three times the brightness of LED high beams.
Otherwise the concept car you see here and which Audi will display at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week is essentially the same as the one it showed in Frankfurt this past September. It's got the same measurements, wearing the same CFRP bodywork, with the same interior and the same 700-horsepower hybrid powertrain, only the yellow exterior has been repainted Plasma Red and the black interior redone in a more low-key Slate Grey, as you can see from the high-res image gallery above.

Audi claims America unfairly pushes electrics over diesels, backed by survey

Fri, 15 Nov 2013

Audi, in case you haven't noticed, is quite committed to diesel technology. It champions oil burners in both the racing world and to consumers, offering American customers a total of five diesel-powered models, which is more than any brand in the US market save for its parent company, Volkswagen. In a bid to prove that diesels aren't some passing trend and are actually gaining momentum in the US, Audi commissioned Harris Interactive to conduct a poll of 1,600 American drivers, to see how they felt about diesel power. The resulting statistics are rather surprising.
57 percent of the 1,629 drivers surveyed think the government has unfairly favored hybrids and electrics over diesel power
65 percent of drivers support laws being passed to make diesel more accessible, while 66 percent support tax incentives for diesel-powered vehicles
