2001 Audi S4 With Rs4 Bumper, Factory Navigation Clearbra Nices One Here On Ebay on 2040-cars
Norwalk, Connecticut, United States
You are looking at one of the nicest 2001 Audi S4 with the highest mileage on the market. Serious buyers please read the following description to fully understand the real value for this car. In the past few years I have spent average about $3500 to $6000 per year to make sure it drives and looks like new. It is a passion of mine to keep each of my 6 cars (Ferrari 360, Ferrari Testarossa, BMW M3, Mercedes Sprinter, Porsche Cayenne and this Audi) in tip top shape at all times. My mechanic called me crazy each time I bring in the car when he can’t even notice the problem. My commute daily is 120 Miles between New York and Connecticut therefore the high mileage. The reason I am selling it is because I promise my wife if I get a new Cayenne, one of these babies has to go otherwise we have no room for the new guy. This car loves the cold weather, the all wheel drives is amazing during the blizzard this winter. It plow through the snow as if it was not there. I have always kept the car in a climate controlled underground garage right next to my Ferrari, this car is so pampered that you would never imagine it was a daily driver for me. Exterior: OEM RS4 front bumper. Roof spoiler, Valeo angel eye clear lens front head lights. Sports front grill. Clear Bra by Eagle Tech front bumper, partial hood, fenders, mirrors, rear bumper. It needs a nice detail but it’s the middle of the winter.
Interior: Instrument display wrapped with aluminum rings. LED display is new. OEM Naviplus navigation unit imported from Germany, one of the few cars here in the U.S. who has it. OEM 6 disc CD changer. OEM upgraded rear view dimming mirror with digital compass Vent mounted Turbo Gauge. Carbon fiber inlay on center console. After market laminated carbon fiber door trims and accessory trim (can be removed to show wood trim). Leather seats in good condition. Winter mats.
New or like new mechanical parts Front radiator, fan, coolant tank, hose clamps, exhaust temp sensor bank 1, Transmission, torque converter, upper control arms, lower control arms, Bilstine shocks, fuel pump, all wheel bearing, front drive shafts and much more.
Performance items: This car has never been on a track, I had it tuned to just 14-15 Psi to keep the motor running strong. GIAC- X chip GIAC- tiptronic chip Piggy down pipes Neuspeed (Borla) exhaust K&N air intake Anti roll bar under the car
Maintenance: The car just came back from it’s oil change every 5,000 miles which is every other months for me. Fresh Transmission fluid and rear differential oil Brand new Continental extreme contact DWS as of September 2013.
Extras included in the sale: Buyer of this car will receive 8-12 extra wheels and tires including snow tire set. Original ECU and TCU computer. Turbo Leak test kit
Overall: The car is in excellent shape in and out and there is nothing to be done for a long time, I am sure I left out a lot of the items that is new in it so feel free to call me and ask me. I have a book here of over 100 pages of receipts of each and every service the car ever had since I owned it back in 2005. I don’t think anyone is crazier than me to keep such meticulous records on an Audi S4. This is a serious bargain since just the last 12 months I have already paid $7000 for everything this car need so at this price you are practically getting it for free. This car has been serviced religiously at Bergen Imports at 228 Palisade Ave, Cliffside Park NJ. Harry the owner knows the car very well and said whoever is getting this car is a lucky guy. Please call me if you have any questions, I am not going to negotiate on the price and I want this car to go to a good home where the next owner can maintain it as much as I have. I can also give you copies of all the service record for this car if you are the next rightful owner.
Thanks for checking my car out! Ken-917 322-9658

BMW says SUVs killed the sports car market
Thu, 13 Nov 2014In many ways, we're living in a golden age of automotive performance. After all, it's possible to show up at a Dodge dealer, hand over about $60,000 and storm away with a 707-horsepower Challenger Hellcat. Or for those who prefer a touch more luxury, the BMW M4, Mercedes-AMG C63 and latest Cadillac ATS-V offer between 425 and 503 horsepower, depending on your pick, with a bit more poshness. However, none of these powerful vehicles fit the classic definition of a two-place, droptop sports car, and according BMW head of sales Ian Robertson, that's because the segment is very much in the doldrums.
According to Robertson, two factors seriously wounded the classic sports car market. First, the global economic crisis of a few years ago put a serious hurt on sales, according to Bloomberg. Further worsening the situation, the boom in popularity of luxury SUVs and crossovers in the past few years hasn't allowed for much recovery. Even car-hungry China hasn't helped much because of the smog in many cities and preference among some of the very rich there to be chauffeured.
Combined, Audi TT, BMW Z4 and Mercedes-Benz SLK sales peaked around 114,000 units a year in 2007, but they are only expected to reach 72,000 annually by the end of the decade. Robertson is pretty pessimistic about the market's comeback too. "Post-2008, it just collapsed. I'm not so sure it'll ever fully recover," he said to Bloomberg.
1,682 miles in a 2014 Audi A8 L TDI - Part 2
Thu, 10 Oct 2013Interruptions like the Canadian Grand Prix, Le Mans, Pikes Peak, that ridiculous Porsche 911 GT3 and the really good, really outrageous Jeep Cherokee, are among the distractions that delayed the conclusion of this tale. If you'll remember, in Part 1 we started off in a parking lot in Sebring with an Audi A8, headed anywhere that would empty our tank, and after five days in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale and Pompano Beach we bolted in the middle of the night for a breakfast date at an IHOP a couple hundred miles away.
We last left proceedings at a Chevron pump beside the West Florida Turnpike, somewhere around midnight in the humid wilds, having done 660 miles and spent $89.40 to put 20.992 gallons in the great white whale. We had done average speed of 31 miles per hour at an average rate of 27.5 miles per gallon. Those kinds of numbers, as we demonstrated, are good enough to put you in the fuel economy orbit of the Toyota Corolla - to be precise, it only cost $6.40 more to cover that 660 miles in the A8 TDI than it would in the Japanese compact. That led us to conclude that there were just a couple of Starbucks Venti lattes between the A8 and the Corolla, assuming we conveniently ignore the two cars' purchase prices. Turns out we were wrong: it didn't take long for a commenter named "mike" to set us straight when he wrote, "It's clear you weren't lying about not frequenting Starbucks...no way could you get two venti lattes for $6.40." Mike, we salute you - our ignorance of terrible coffee has served the higher purpose of emphasizing the strong case made by the diesel Audi.
But that A8... well, the wheels were still on the damn thing and we had to drive them off. That meant five more days of pilot duty to get us from wherever the hell we were to Wildwood and Daytona Beach, FL, then Brunswick, Macon and Atlanta, GA, then Birmingham, AL, and back to Atlanta.
Audi RS7 prototype is world's sportiest self-driving car [w/video]
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Audi may not be the only automaker out there toying with self-driving automobile technology, but it is arguably the fastest of them. A few years back, it raced unleashed a driverless TTS on the Bonneville Salt Flats, then sent it up Pikes Peak and around Thunderhill. But now it's taking things a step further with the vehicle you see here.
This RS7 Sportback has been fitted with steering, brakes, throttle and transmission hooked up to a computer system that combines GPS, high-frequency radio signals and 3D imaging camera to drive the vehicle autonomously not just in slow-paced, stop-and-go traffic, but around the track at the same pace a professional racing driver would push it: full throttle on the straights, full braking before the corner and 1.1-g of cornering force.
As promised, Audi plans to unleash the self-driving RS7 - which it calls "the sportiest piloted driving car in the world" - at Hockenheim next weekend prior to the DTM season finale, where it is anticipated to pull a 2:10 lap time. The next stage will be to set it lose on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, all 154 turns and 13 miles of it, which ought to pose a heck of a challenge to the engineers from Ingolstadt. In the meantime you can scope it out in the high-res image gallery above and the second teaser video below.
