This is my well loved and well cared for 2001 Audi S4 Avant. I bought it 6 years ago and it has been my faithful and dependable daily driver ever since.
If you are looking at this ad, you probably know about these very desirable performance cars already. Audi LOADED these B5 / S4's with power everything, including a BOSE premium sound system. The 2.7 BITURBO motor is smooth and powerful, and the QUATTRO full time all wheel drive system delivers control that is unmatched. This is a great driving machine that is amazingly tight and solid, and drives like new - the same as the day I bought it.
This car is very sound. These cars are often modified, but I intentionally kept mine stock for long life and reliability. It was "smogged" in January and passed the stringent California emissions test with flying colors. I am a car enthusiast and have always taken very good care of it, including: ahead of schedule oil changes, regular interior and exterior detailing, garage kept, and I am a non-smoker. My S4 still "shows" very well, and I routinely get questions about it as it's a great looking cars, and the S4 Avant is very rare in the USA.
The leather interior, carpets, headliner, etc, are all VERY good condition. The AC blows ice cold, and all the power equipment works. Overall this is a very straight car, great to drive as-is, or for an enthusiast to renovate to the next level. The exterior does have a few dings and scratches from city life - but nothing that is too obvious - or that couldn't be fixed fairly easily if that's what you chose to do. There are also additional custom rubber floor mats.
Honestly, I would love to keep this car, but I am attending Medical School for the next 3 years, so it's time to find her a new home. I'm located in San Diego (Mission Bay area) and my preference would be for the buyer to come here to personally look over the car, and take delivery.

Audi A3 E-Tron plug-in hybrid set to whiz into Geneva

The Audi A3 E-tron, which we drove in prototype form last year, is headed to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show next month. The plug-in hybrid will feature a total of 204 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque from the combination of a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine and a 75-kW electric motor. That motor itself is positioned between the internal combustion engine and the machine's six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The setup is good enough to scoot the A3 E-tron to 62 miles per hour in 7.6 seconds and crank out a top speed of 138 mph. Perhaps more impressively, the hatch can whir its way to 80 mph on all-electric power with an EV range of 31 miles.
Audi claims the A3 E-tron gives the world a "realistic glimpse into the future of mobility," so it's a bit unclear if the model will see production. We're encouraged by the specificity of Audi's press release (which is full of stats) and the fact that they don't label this vehicle a concept. Audi and Mercedes both outsell BMW in January
Tue, Feb 10 2015There won't be any celebrations in Munich this month, as BMW was outsold by arch-nemeses Audi and Mercedes-Benz. The Bavarian company finished behind Audi in January, which took the top spot for the first time since June of last year, Bloomberg reports. Ingolstadt rode high on a 10-percent bump in sales, while Mercedes saw a larger 14 percent increase. BMW, meanwhile, only saw a modest 6.3-percent sales increase last month, thanks in large part to its struggles in China. The company's sales there increased at about half the rate of its chief competitors, with a 7.9-percent jump to Mercedes and Audi's roughly 15-percent increases. Perhaps more worrying for BMW, though, is that this could become something of a trend for the company. According to Bloomberg, issues with Chinese dealers who cancelled orders over sales targets and bonuses combined with what the publication calls aging models, could spell bad news for the German marque. "This looks like a pretty significant decline in growth compared to Mercedes and Audi," Bankhaus Metzler analyst Juergen Pieper told Bloomberg.
