2008 Audi R8 V8, Black/black, 21k Mi, R-tronic, Coastal Nh/boston on 2040-cars
Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States
Here's my beautiful R8, car has been great in every way (except radio reception, now fixed), time for a new owner. I'm the 3rd owner, I bought it from Porsche of Buffalo NY with 13,338 miles on Dec 2011. In my time I did the 25K service (2012), new tires, 2013 oil change, and fixed the radio reception. I have all records from my ownership. I don't have records from previous owners, but AudiCare said all prior services had been completed. Flaws - all I can find is a sort of "ripple" on the drivers seat leather and a little scuffing under the front spoiler. Pics to the best of my ability, otherwise normal minimal wear for a 21K mile car but nothing more I can photograph. No accidents, no track use, no paint work, excellent throughout. Options: R-Tronic Transmission Phantom Black Pearl Effect Alcantara Headliner B&O Sound Sys Enhanced Fine Nappa Leather Audi DVD Navigation Plus Premium Package Body Color Side Blade Starshield, nose & side rocker panels MSRP was $136,850 Any questions or specific pics you want, shoot me a message - serious shoppers only, no trades, etc etc. Thank you! |

Watch two Audi RS4 Avants play Death Race with paintball
Wed, 27 Feb 2013Nothing to see here, folks, except a 2013 Audi RS4 Avant weaponized with a high-caliber paintball canon. No, make that two of them, one black and one white, playing paintball in an abandoned aircraft hangar. At this point, there's probably not more to add than "Watch the video below" while we get on the horn to find out how to get this as a factory option. And the wagon itself, since that's not coming here, either...
But what's cooler than two high-powered Audi wagons with paintball guns and push-button firing in a video set to cheesy music from a bad eighties rip-off of Top Gun? One car can dump paint out of spigots under the rear bumper, the other has paintball grenades. And now we've really said enough. So watch the video, and the two behind-the-scenes vids, below.
Refreshed A1 packs Audi's first three-cylinder gas engine [w/video]
Mon, 17 Nov 2014Back in 2010, Audi debuted the diminutive A1, and it's sold over half a million of them since. Now, more than four years later, the German automaker has given its smallest and most accessible model a facelift and some updated equipment.
The latest version of the A1 benefits from a range of updates, including a sharpened take on the company's familiar styling with a reshaped single-frame grille, new bumpers front and rear as well as new wheel and color choices. But the biggest news is the introduction of Audi's first three-cylinder gasoline engine.
The turbocharged, direct-injected 1.0-liter three-pot churns out just 94 horsepower, but that's still six more than the previous base 1.2-liter four offered, all the while returning better fuel economy and emissions figures. Of course, that turbo three is not the only engine on offer, joining the 1.4-liter turbo four in 123- and 148-hp states of tune and the 113-hp 1.6-liter TDI. And of course there's still the 228-hp S1 performance model. Depending on specification, the engines are mated to a five- or six-speed manual, but can all be optioned with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission as well.
Audi tops Consumer Reports' brand rankings while Tesla leads domestics at eighth
Wed, Mar 1 2017Tesla supplanted General Motors' Buick division as the top-ranked US automaker in Consumer Reports annual brand rankings, though the electric-vehicle maker finished eighth among global automakers. Buick had finished atop CR's domestic car-brand list for three years before Tesla leapfrogged it. Scores were calculated from a combination of performance, owner satisfaction, and reliability. CR noted that Buick scored big on reliability but not so high on performance, while Tesla appeared to present the opposite case. Volkswagen's Audi division repeated as the best overall brand for the second straight year, beating out VW's Porsche unit, BMW, Toyota's Lexus division, and Subaru. Kia and Mazda followed those brands, while Honda finished ninth, between Tesla and Buick. Consumer Reports took results from 31 brands. Reliability issues related to the Toyota Tacoma helped drop that Japanese automaker out of the top 10. Take a look at CR's results for its Annual Brand Report Card here. That Tesla, Audi, and Porsche placed so high is topical, given some of the issues plaguing those automakers. Audi, Porsche, and their parent VW have been coping with the effects of the diesel-emissions scandal that broke back in 2015. The scandal has cost Europe's largest automaker billions of dollars, and forced VW to put a stop-sale on diesel-powered cars in the US in late 2015. And while the Tesla Model S improved from the "worse-than-average" label CR gave it in its 2015 Annual Auto Reliability Survey, the problematic falcon-wing doors on the Tesla Model X SUV pulled that model's reliability scores lower last year. Additionally, the Model X's climate-control system and door locks have also caused issues. Toyota and Lexus finished atop CR's reliability rankings last year. Related Video:
