Scratches on both sides, slight dents on the driver back door that connects with the front door, but doesn't affect movement of the door, the bumper is relatively scratch-free, slight dents on the front and rear fenders, nothing severe to affect the shape or working, can be repair easily for a couple of hundred. Just serviced, changed the belts, spark plugs and wheels in october, although the computer hasn't been resetted during service, so it will still show occasionally. All in all the interior is near perfect, the leather on the front seats are slightly worn, but not cracked, and the media system was replaced last year by Audi, so the navigation and entertainment system works fine. I bought it at 60,161 miles, and it drove about 25,000 miles over 3 years, and it still going strong with a powerful 3.2L quattro All Wheel Drive engine. Only reason I'm selling is because I'm going overseas for medical school, otherwise I would still continue to drive it. Inspected in NJ last september, so it will last til 2015. Works well, but sold as it is.

Has a working sun roof, GPS navigation system, multi-disk CD drive.

Smoke-free environment entirely.

I'm not sure about previous owners, but I bought this in September 2010 from Bell Audi at Edison NJ for about $25,000. KBB values this if it's in fair condition at $12,600.

I have been burnt once before on a sale, so I will need full payment before pickup or delivery, look at shipping and payment policies for more information, pickup would be in the Harrisburg/Elizabethtown area at no charge, if other places say Philadelphia or Baltimore, I would be happy to deliver for a fee that covers gas and tolls. Please contact me for more information. I will be happy to oblige within reason.

If you think you have an attractive offer, please contact me. Thank you

2015 Audi S8

Mon, 11 Aug 2014

You've gotta hand it to the Audi A8. Last year, Mercedes-Benz launched the truly stunning S-Class, putting the rest of the high-dollar luxury flagship class on notice. With the brand-new S-Class turning heads and garnering all sorts of praise from the automotive press, classmates like the BMW 7 Series, Jaguar XJ and Audi A8 started to look, well, old. But Audi didn't see fit to just let its big sedan carry on and let the Mercedes take the cake.
So when Audi refreshed its A8 line for the 2015 model year with only minor updates, I kind of shrugged it off as just a quick way to keep the big sedan fresh until an all-new, hopefully S-Class-trumping version arrives. But then I drove the S8 pictured above, and I'm no longer so sure the Merc's shadow is as big and imposing as it once was.
Spoiler alert: the Audi S8 is simply fantastic.

Next Audi R8 to be up to 130 pounds lighter

Tue, 26 Nov 2013

"Simplify and add lightness," as Lotus founder Colin Chapman said. In a world where even supercars are subject to environmental, efficiency and emissions standards, lighter vehicles are being looked on as a sort of panacea - make it lighter, and it's automatically faster, more agile, easier to brake and better on gas.
Knowing this, it comes as no shock that Audi is looking at ways to lighten up its next-generation R8, with the brand's head of technical development Ulrich Hackenberg targeting a 110- to 130-pound diet for the mid-engine rocket. This supports previous reports regarding the focus for the next R8. Motor Trend reports that aluminum and carbon fiber feature heavily in plans for the next R8, which should go a long way toward slimming down even the lightest of R8s, the 3,678-pound V10 Plus model.
There's more over at Motor Trend, including the buff book's attempts to get Hackenberg to discuss powertrain options for the next R8.

Next Audi Q7 to debut with electric turbocharger?

Sun, 22 Jun 2014

For years, the concept of an electric turbocharger was essentially a joke sold on eBay to boost power in your slammed Civic, but in the last five years it has moved from an idea on a piece of paper to a feasible reality. Audi has already toyed with a showcase of the cutting-edge tech in road cars with the RS5 TDI concept. Now, reports suggest an electric turbo may make it to the streets as soon as next year in the next-gen Q7 (spy shot pictured above).
"I can confirm we are working on the development of the e-boost definitely," said Ulrich Weiss, Audi's diesel engine boss, to Australia-based Drive. He didn't give an exact timeframe but hinted at sometime next year, possibly in the Q7. He also suggested the chance of an RS-branded diesel model in the vein of the RS5 TDI concept on the horizon, as well.
This tech isn't entirely new for the folks in Ingolstadt. Audi's R18 endurance racer already uses such a system to capture waste heat from the engine, converting it to electric power to further power the hybrid car. The RS5 TDI concept employs a similar idea with a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 with an electric supercharger to make up for the turbo lag. It's able to pump out 385 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque and allegedly sprint to 62 miles per hour in four seconds.
