I bought this Audi in January off of Ebay from a local tow yard. It was an abandoned vehicle. I have gotten a free and clear title for it and a set cut from an Audi dealership in Duluth. I have two other keys and "fob" with remote lock/unlock buttons with key that have yet to be cut. I bought a new air filter and cabin filter and installed them both.

Here is the deal with the car. IT WILL NOT START. I went and got a new battery and installed it. All the power options work, radio etc. When I turn the key, it makes a click noise and nothing, nada, ZIP! All the research I have done and dealerships I have called, say this year A6 does not have an immobilizer chip/system. So I am at a loss.

I had planned on fixing it up and possibly giving it to my mom. With all the problems I am having with it, she told me she isn't interested in having such an expensive car. Which leads to this ad. I really don't want to spend the money to tow it to atlanta to see if it does need to have the key programmed or have the time. My bad luck is your gain. I have done all the hard work getting this abandoned vehicle titled and a key for it. Could be a simple fix, could possibly need a starter, relay or even an engine.

The overall condition of the car isn't too bad. Headlights are yellow and hazy. Interior is dirty and needs a good shampooing. Sunroof clicks bad and I don't think it closes all the way. Both front window switches work but the tabs are broken so they are loose in the door panels. Passenger side front seat is cracked and ripped. Drivers side is good and so is the back seats. Speaker cover on drivers side is broken. There is a dent in the front drivers side fender (pic included). Someone keyed both doors on the drivers side (pic included). Passengers side body looks almost perfect. Paint on hood and roof look oxidized. May come out with a good buffing and wax. Tread on tires look pretty good. Car has 156,XXX miles.

I can take a lot of pics if you would like. $1,700 is what I have in it but I am open to offers. Hoping/looking to get rid of it quickly.

Thanks for looking.

Audi RS4 Avant Nogaro Selection puts a fresh face on old memories

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

I've been fortunate enough to drive plenty of memorable cars over the years, and one of my all-time favorites is the Audi RS4 sedan. It was only sold in the United States for a short time, but during that quick run, it made a huge impression on me. I remember everything about that car - the smell, the sound, the exact feeling of the manual shifter as it clicked between the six gears, and the texture of the steering wheel that I so happily tossed about. In fact, whenever I'm feeling nostalgic, I go back and watch this video of the late David E. Davis, Jr., running the California Mille roads in a Sprint Blue RS4 - a video we shot for Winding Road many years ago during my tenure as an editor there.
So even though the Audi RS4 Avant Nogaro that debuts here in Geneva isn't super important, especially for our American-centric audience, I feel compelled to write about it. No, we don't get the lovely RS4 in the States anymore, but the package offered in Europe is just as sweet as ever - perhaps even more so, what with that stylish longroof shape. Under the hood is Audi's excellent, naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V8 engine, tuned to deliver 450 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, allowing for a 0-62 sprint of 4.7 seconds.
The Nogaro name refers to the special blue paint - a throwback to the original Audi RS2 Avant that kicked off the company's super sweet luxury offerings. Other unique features for the Nogaro car include gloss black exhaust outlets, window frames and grille surround, as well as matte black roof rails. Special 20-inch wheels round off the exterior enhancements, and inside, Nogaro Blue Alcantara accents can be had on the door panels and seat inners.

Is Audi readying hardcore final edition R8?

Sun, 12 Oct 2014

The days may be numbered on the current Audi R8, but if our latest round of spy photos is any indication, Audi's first supercar is going to go out with a bang. This camo'd tester was spotted parked somewhere in Europe, and if doesn't at least belie a faster R8, it certainly indicates that a more aerodynamically intense model is coming.
The tall rear wing is the most obvious aerodynamic change. It's joined out back by a none-too-subtle diffuser and the cannon-like exhausts of the R8 V10 Plus, while the front and side of this particular R8 are home to new side sills and winglets on the lower front fascia.
We'll be keeping our ears to the ground for any more on what looks to be another variation of first-generation Audi supercar. Until then, let us know what you think this car may foreshadow. A new halo model? A gentleman racer? Have your say below.

Major Alexa deal will bring Amazon services into more cars

Wed, Jan 9 2019

Amazon and its personal assistance service Alexa are partnering with HERE Technologies to create a new connected mobility service powerhouse. Alexa will integrate with HERE's navigation and location services to offer what the two companies are calling a "true voice-first-navigation experience." Alexa will come pre-integrated with HERE navigation on-demand, which the automakers can then enable, which should help cut down on development time. One of the biggest features from this partnership is how directions could be offered and delivered using HERE's Open Location Platform (OLP). Currently, the OLP uses data from several car manufacturers to provide insights into real-time location and traffic. But on Alexa, this could be used to provide directional context. For example, Alexa could say, "Turn right after [such-and-such a building]" rather than just, "Turn right." Amazon has been testing the automotive waters throughout the past decade. Its home-based Alexa-enabled devices are already offered with connections to several manufacturers. To various degrees of integration, it can already pair with Ford, Genesis, Toyota, Lexus, Hyundai and BMW vehicles. At the end of 2018, Amazon took things a step further when it introduced the Echo Auto, a Bluetooth-connected Alexa assistant device that can be physically kept in a car. Currently only available by invitation (its production and distribution have been delayed), the $25 device is essentially a voice service that works together with smartphones and connects to a car's speakers. Users can command it to do a variety of things, including playing music, setting navigation, opening the garage door, finding local stores, making calls, setting reminders, and thousands of other "skills." According to The Verge, nearly 1 million people have already ordered the device. Some (well, probably few) may know HERE Technologies from its maps on Windows Phones. We all know how that turned out, though. Today, HERE has expanded into a multi-function suite that is available in multiple mediums, including many automotive applications. HERE Automotive's connected vehicle services include real-time traffic, parking, weather, fuel prices, hazard warnings, traffic sign integration, and even EV charging stations. These all incorporate and extend the use of HERE's location and tracking programming. HERE is already partnered with BMW, Audi, Daimler, Intel, Mobileye, NVIDIA, and has investments from Bosch, Continental and Pioneer.
