Whether as a sedan, Avant wagon, or Cabriolet convertible--the 2008 Audi A4 is available with a choice of two direct-injection engines: a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder (designated 2.0T FSI) making 200 horsepower, and a 3.2L V6 (designated 3.2 FSI) making 255 horsepower. The A4 sedan can be had with either front- or all-wheel drive; front-wheel-drive versions come with either a six-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT), while "quattro" all-wheel-drive versions come with either the manual or a six-speed Tiptronic automatic.Sedans and wagons have a 60/40-split folding back seat, and wagons also have a tailgate light that illuminates the area directly behind the car, plus a storage compartment hidden below the cargo floor and an extra 12-volt outlet. Both the sedan and wagon have storage spaces under the front seats. The Cabriolet is available with the same range of engines and includes more attention to safety than most convertibles, with special side-sill reinforcements, stronger, impact-absorbing doors, specially designed side-impact air bags, and two pop-up rollover bars at the back of the cabin. The folding soft top also has more thermal and sound insulation for year-round driving, especially when equipped with quattro. The Cabriolet also has a different gauge appearance and leather upholstered sport seats, along with available walnut or birch wood trim. The sporty S4 model adds a 340-horsepower, 4.2L V8 engine and a choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Manual-transmission versions get a performance-oriented version of the quattro all-wheel-drive system that reverts to a torque split of 60 percent to the rear wheels during normal driving. As with all versions of quattro, torque is still sent to the wheels with the most traction as needed.S4 models also get numerous visual cues, including quad exhaust pipes and various interior and exterior trim changes. S4 sedans get an integrated trunklid spoiler, while S4 Avants get distinctive aluminum roof rails. The S4 sedan also has an available sport package that adds a more aggressive look, with front and rear carbon-fiber lip spoilers along with rear-bumper side scoops. All A4 and S4 models come with standard ESP stability control with anti-lock brakes and brake assist, and the Sideguard head air bag system, which offers full head protection even when the car rolls over after a primary collision. In the front seats, there are RearGuard head restraints aimed at preventing whiplash injuries. The A4 interior stands out with its walnut wood inlays on V6 models and aluminum inlays on four-cylinder models. Notable options include a DVD navigation system with a large 6.5-inch screen and SD-card sound-system input, and a dynamic cornering system which helps illuminate into corners with swiveling bi-xenon beams. The optional Audi Parking System (APS) provides an audible signal while backing toward a vehicle or object. This car passes NH State Inspection. Has no defects.Model Overview

Audi planning RS Q7 performance crossover
Mon, Feb 16 2015Audi resisted getting into the crossover market altogether until it launched the original Q7 in 2005, and held back from producing a performance crossover until it caved first with the SQ5 and then with the RS Q3, both in 2013. And now that the tide has washed over it, Ingolstadt's next plan, according to Top Gear, is to launch a performance version of the new Q7. Though it remains unclear whether it would carry the S or RS badge, the performance-oriented version of the new Q7 will surely benefit from the hundreds of pounds in excess weight Audi managed to trim off the latest model over the one it replaces. Also unclear is whether said hi-po Q7 would go with a diesel or a gasoline engine. The diesel option would more likely go the S route than the full RS, but wouldn't be likely to make it to the States if it were only offered as a diesel. With the SQ5, it's worth noting, Audi offers a TDI diesel version in Europe and a gasoline TSI in North America, so we wouldn't be surprised to see it take a similar approach with the larger model as well. Whatever it does pack under the hood, though, the SQ7 or RS Q7 would be facing some stiff competition from the likes of the Mercedes GL63 AMG, BMW X5 M and Range Rover Sport SVR – not to mention corporate cousins like the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and upcoming Bentley Bentayga – while giving the Volkswagen group a bigger slice of that exclusive but expanding pie.
2015 Audi Q3
Mon, Apr 13 2015There are two ways to approach a brand-new segment in the auto industry. First, an automaker can take a gamble and introduce a completely new vehicle, catering to the specific demands of the marketplace(s) in question. In the compact, premium CUV segment, we've seen Buick do this with the Encore, and Mercedes-Benz with the GLA-Class. The other option is to introduce a vehicle already sold in another market. Considering the amount of time it takes to bring a new vehicle from paper to production, there is plenty to gain in the short-term with this approach. It's not without its downsides, though, as we found after a week behind the wheel of the 2015 Audi Q3, a vehicle that was initially launched in 2011. Cute though it may be – it was referred to at least once by a passerby during our testing as "totes adorbs" – Ingolstadt's decision to introduce a vehicle that's already been on sale for four years, and is effectively approaching the last half of its lifecycle, leaves the Q3 at a significant disadvantage relative to the newer competition. Despite crossing its first auto show stage four years ago, the Q3 remains a handsome little bugger. Audi's designs, while conservative, tend to age very well, and the compact Q3 is no exception. It's like a scaled-down Q5 in most respects, although certain design pieces, like its more aggressively raked rear window and shorter front and rear overhangs, belie the significantly smaller Q3's figure. Due to its age, the Q3 was, fortunately, designed before the current A3 hit the market. That means it avoids the unattractive, minimalist dash of the A3, opting for a more traditional Audi design, with a strip of brushed aluminum on the passenger's side, a user-friendly center stack and a suitably large nav screen front and center. While the overall layout is attractive, the material quality is not what we'd expect of a newer Audi. There's nothing that feels exceedingly cheap – the plastics just feel old and too familiar. It's difficult to describe, but as soon as you climb in the Q3, things like the switchgear for the HVAC controls immediately remind you that this is a vehicle that's been on sale since 2011. While our definition of interior quality has evolved over the years, our idea of a driver-friendly cabin has not. The Q3 scores highly in this regard, featuring the elevated seating position that makes CUVs so popular with the general public.
Watch Audi's Emmy promo, starring Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Thu, 21 Aug 2014A lot of online videos try way too hard to be funny, but the promo from Audi for the 66th Emmy Awards on Monday, August 25, shows that if you put faith in a proven group of hilarious actors, you can strike comedy gold. The short film reunites Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul as the proprietors of a pawnshop of rare and obscure items called Barely Legal Pawn. They have their own fictional reality show (which really needs to exist) that rips off Pawn Stars, and this segment has comedy veteran Julia Louis-Dreyfus coming in to sell her Emmy award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy as Elaine on Seinfeld. Louis-Dreyfus also pays the title sponsor's bills by subtly incorporating a 2015 S3 into the otherwise car-free gag.
It would ruin the video to spoil any of the jokes; you just need to watch it. Cranston actually bridges the gap here because way before he became famous as Walter White on Breaking Bad, he had a recurring guest role on Seinfeld as dentist Dr. Tim Whatley. If you're a fan of either show or just need a hearty chuckle for today, this one is definitely for you because all three former Emmy winners put in fantastic performances.
