BEAUTIFUL Rarely optioned 2005 A4 in Caribic Blue with Manual transmission! 3.0L Quattro.
This car is much faster than the ubiquitous 1.8T engine option, it uses the same V6 engine Audi was using for the A6. I absolutely love driving this car and so will you, and it looks stunning inside and out.
The car has power everything, Xenon Headlamps, leather, power front seats with 4 driver memory settings, Audi Quattro AWD, auto on headlamps, 6 setting heated leather front seats, dual climate control, A/C is ice cold, power tilting and sliding moon roof, autodimming rearview mirror, digital mirror compass, premium sound. Car is an absolute joy to own and drive, and with the manual transmission, it's a rare find. I have more pics, please feel free to ask and I'm happy to send.
Also, I had a new clutch put in when I bought it at 60k miles (nothing wrong, but I am picky and don't know how previous owner drove, and I've been driving manual all my life so I'm very careful with it.)
The only reason I'm selling the car is that I'm getting a new M3, so I really have no need for 2 cars.  I absolutely love it though, and get compliments on it all the time.  In addition, as you can see from the pictures, the car has lightly tinted windows.  They were professionally done at a shop here in New Orleans after I did a LOT of research picking the best place with the highest reputation for their work, film quality, etc.  The job comes with a lifetime guarantee and is legal in all states that allow any non-factory tinting.
Condition: This car looks, runs, drives, and is immaculate. When I acquired it, it had been in a minor accident (I have a copy of the CARFAX I can send to save you $,or you may obtain as well, I've posted the VIN). The hit was cosmetic only, and it was to the front right side. No structure, engine, or any other kind of damage (car even has the original radiator, and it is in perfect condition I have pictures). All that we had to replace on the exterior was the front bumper, right fender, and headlight. However, airbags did deploy, which means we had to replace the top pad an steering wheel, so by law it was issued a rebuild title.  Do not let that deter you, I've owned it for 2 years and car has been outstanding, not a problem with it, and as the Carfax shows, it was properly serviced regularly prior to that.  Other than that, the car is in perfect condition. All work was done by a master tech. Carfax recommends a $2,100 discount from retail because of the minor accident history. Retail for this car is $14,400, but I'm starting the auction at $9,500. Please feel free to ask me any questions, I'm happy to answer them. Or if you're near New Orleans, you can schedule a visit to see it.  Good luck and happy bidding!

Translogic 164: Driving the fuel cell vehicles of the 2014 LA Auto Show

Wed, Nov 26 2014

The LA Auto Show is known for its environmentally friendly vehicle debuts. At last year's show, hydrogen fuel cell concepts from Honda and Toyota joined a lease-ready Hyundai Tucson FCEV to cast a green hue over the convention center. This year, automakers took us a step closer to a fuel cell future by offering drives of their hydrogen-electric hybrids. Translogic host Jonathon Buckley takes a ride in the Toyota Mirai, which is headed for production in 2016. He follows that with a spin in the Volkswagen Passat HyMotion and the Audi A7 Sportback h-tron quattro concept. Which of these fuel cell vehicles holds the most promise? Tune in to find out. Audi replaces Mercedes as official vehicle supplier to the IOC

Sat, 12 Jan 2013

The automotive sponsor of the International Olympic Committee for the past 22 years has been Daimler-Benz. No more, as Audi has just signed a four-year deal to be the official auto supplier to the folks who keep the torch alight and on the move. Audi will supply vehicles for the IOC's headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland and the organization's international events.
In case you're remembering all the stories about BMW and the London Olympics last summer and wondering where Mercedes-Benz was in all of that, the answer lies in the numerous mouths at the Olympic trough. The IOC is the organization and oversight body of the Olympics - much like the way the FIA oversees world motorsport. BMW, though, sponsored the London Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, so during the games IOC reps rode in Benzes, LOCOG and its guest dignitaries rode in BMWs.
The Volkswagen Group has other ties with the Olympics as well: The Group will be the official vehicle partner for the winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia in 2014, and Audi currently partners the national Olympic federations of Germany, Finland, Russia and Switzerland. The press release below announcing the partnership has all the official details.
