This is a hard to find avant quattro all wheel drive wagon. I bought this car with 75,000 miles on it, the previous owner took it to the dealer for every little thing; records are included with car. I have done all my own service since then, including changing the timing belt, water pump, and components. The car was custom ordered with the sport package, had S wheels added, and conveniencey cargo package from the factory. It is a deep blue with tan interior, the interior is in excellent shape with only minor ware and the exterior has one blemish on the rear bumper and the paint is in otherwise excellent shape for the year. The previous owner mounted a yakima rack for two bikes and I have added a canoe mount to that; this is the perfect city to country and back again car. The 3.0 is very strong, and combined with the sport suspension, is a lot of fun to drive. The transmission features manual auto shifting or sport and overdrive mode. This car has more features than I would have ever expected. It also has a sunroof, heated seats, super cold A/C, and Audi heavy duty rubber floor mats. I just changed the oil and will be getting the registration renewed over the next few days. The car has 112,000 miles on it now and is mechanically sound. I hate to sell this car, but just like the previous owner, my family is expanding and I need something with room for the kids plus the grandparents. Ken Block and friends race light in silly-beautiful Castrol commercial
Wed, 28 May 2014How does one make fast, loud, drifting cars better? Well, you can add more fast, loud, drifting cars or you can add lasers. Either or, really. In this case, Castrol did the right thing and added both, creating a highly stylized commercial for its Edge Titanium motor oil starring South African racer Adrian Zaugg, BMW factory driver Augusto Farfus, Audi DTM and Le Mans staple Mike Rockenfeller and some bloke named Ken Block.
Their cars? No surprise, but Block is in his Ford Fiesta GRC, while Zaugg samples a Lamborghini Aventador and Farfus and Rockenfeller drive along party lines, with a BMW M4 and an Audi R8, respectively. And those cars look good, too, thanks to the creative light and laser work on display.

Back in 2008, I was fortunate enough to test the second-generation Audi RS6 Avant in southern France on the supremely well-sorted circuit at Le Castellet, a.k.a. Paul Ricard. I was thrown out there with the 572-horsepower bi-turbo 5.0-liter V10-equipped behemoth behind one of Audi's DTM pros and was convinced in short order that the flaming hippo in my hands was going to get the better of me on one or another of the track's tight esses. I made it out alive and invigorated, of course, but knew that that RS6 Avant was the heaviest that these thunderwagons should ever be allowed to get. At around 4,650 pounds with driver aboard, it was just way more lateral momentum at speed than any pilot needs on a track - or for that matter, on a favorite hot curving road.
Now it's time for the 2013 Audi RS6 Avant to lay us out with a flying scissor kick from the corner ropes. This version of the highway and byway marauder from Quattro GmbH is a decidedly greater piece of work than was the car I drove in 2008. This time, there will only be the Avant body configuration - no RS6 sedan - and, as with the previous generation, North America won't be at the receiving end when deliveries start at the end of July this year.
Audi celebrates 500k TT models with new TTS Competition
Wed, 14 Aug 2013The stylish Audi TT first debuted in 1998, and while we've only seen two generations of the car over the course of 15 years, some 500,000 examples have been sold. To mark the occasion, Audi has created this special TTS Competition model, available as either a coupe or a roadster and limited to just 500 units.
Competition models are set apart from the rest of the TTS range by their unique paint colors - Imola Yellow and Nimbus Gray. Additionally, the limited-run TTS wears new five-spoke, 19-inch alloy wheels and features a fixed rear wing (like the one on the TT RS).
Leather upholstery is found inside the cabin, done up in steel gray with yellow accents. Of course, there are special numbered plaques on the door trims, simply saying "1 of 500."
