1999 Audi A4 Avant Wagon 1.8l Quattro 116k Miles Loaded White Heated Seats on 2040-cars

w1999 Audi A4 Avant Wagon 4-Door 1.8L Quattro
116.5K Miles! Fully loaded for a 1999 Audi. Air conditioning, Quattro four wheel drive, sunroof, cd changer, power windows and locks, HEATED SEATS, etc. White paint & Grey/tan leather interior. Mechanical issues with car are coolant light and airbag light. The coolant reservoir leaks from what I can tell, I just top it off every few months, never bothered replacing it as this is not a primary driver and it was an unnecessary repair in my eyes. The Airbag light just came on as well, I'm guessing a faulty sensor. Body issues. There are scratches and aging here and there as would any car that is fifteen years old. No dents. Check out pictures. Interior. The leather is in really good shape. The back seat is more faded than the front seats. Again please examine pictures. Only glaring things I can think of are drivers side mirror is faded, passenger light washer cap is missing, and there is a small tear in the drivers seat. Also, cup holder is stuck open. Car itself drives great. Quite quick and handles well. Great highway driver. For it's age and miles though it is in excellent shape. I've averaged about $1000 in maintenance every three years. Pretty excellent for an Audi. Look carefully at the pictures. Car is sold as is. No warranty. There is no hidden agenda here. I moved and only have two garage spaces that are both occupied and don't feel like this car should waste away on the street. Car is located in Northern Chicago. Feel free to come and check it out. Buyer is responsible for all shipping. I need a $500 dollar deposit immediately to paypal if you choose to buy this off eBay. |

Audi changes the guard at Quattro GmbH
Fri, 24 Jan 2014Although it may not have the brand recognition that Mercedes-AMG does or BMW's M division, Audi's Quattro GmbH department is responsible for its most exciting products - including the RS line of performance models and the R8 supercar. For the past year and a half, Quattro GmbH has been led by Franciscus van Meel, but soon it will get a new leader.
According to reports, van Meel (46, pictured right) is being reassigned to head up the Audi R&D center in Beijing. In his place, Audi is promoting Heinz Peter Hollwerweger (60, pictured above) to the post. The move is expected to be confirmed in advance of the Geneva Motor Show, at which point we can expect Audi to claim that it was part of a planned rotation. However sources suggest that van Meel's departure came at the behest of R&D boss Ulrich Hackenberg, who was apparently unhappy with how van Meel has been handling development of the next R8 and of the R8 E-Tron project.
Why Hackenberg would have van Meel reassigned to run one of his own R&D centers is beyond us, but Hollerweger is apparently expected to be able to get the job done faster and better. Whether he'll have any major changes in store for the Quattro division and its products is another matter, but we're looking forward to finding out.
2014 Audi A3 Cabriolet cleans up the Messe [w/video]
Tue, 10 Sep 2013If we're being honest, the outgoing Audi A3 Cabriolet never really flicked our Bic. That was just fine, of course, because Audi never brought it to North America. This new model, however, might have a different future.
And while Audi has yet to officially decide on this car's North American future, this Frankfurt Motor Show debut clearly has a better sense of proportion and aggression to it, and we're excited about its powertrain solutions, too. For the European market, Audi is promising TFSI gasoline engines in either 1.4- or 1.8-liters, along with a 2.0-liter TDI diesel, all being available in front- and all-wheel drive. Audi has also confirmed its first-ever S3 Quattro Cabriolet, which figures to combine a quick 18-second top drop and its hard-hatted sibling's even quicker 296-hp 2.0-liter turbo.
Even though Audi has been better about bringing its high-performance models to North America and has a new emphasis on growing its A3 business in our territories (including a US-minded sedan bodystyle), we would still be a bit surprised to see an S3 Cabriolet popping its entry-level top in dealers in a couple years' time. Having said that, we do think this A3 Cabriolet is almost a lock. Be sure to take a good, long look at our gallery, video and the official press release below.
Audi testing all-new, third-gen TT prototype
Mon, 21 Oct 2013It's no big surprise that Audi is working on a new TT. It's been rumored for a while now, and the current model has been on the market since 2006, making it seven years old. But after seeing only some test mules wearing the existing model's sheetmetal, this is the first glimpse we've gotten at what Audi has in store for it's third-gen TT.
Not that we can see all that much with all the camouflage, mind you, but that's still more than we've seen until now. Spied on public roads being benchmarked against the Mercedes-Benz SLK and BMW Z4, the upcoming new TT is still unmistakably a TT, but looks poised to adopt more contemporary styling in keeping with Audi's latest design language, including a larger grille aperture and more squared-off headlights.
The whole thing looks a bit more like a mini-R8, which would make sense if Audi has called off plans for an R4 sports car to slot into the lineup as well. Last we heard, the new TT would arrive late in 2014, when you can bet we'll read all about slightly more powerful but significantly more frugal engines and a raft of new technologies.
