2012 Audi A3 Tdi Hatchback Diesel, Warranty Sport, Premium Plus Xenon, Low Miles on 2040-cars
McLean, Virginia, United States
2012 A3 TDI, 1 owner car, clean carfax, with Bose, Convenience Package, Heated Seats, Xenons, LED rear taillights. I love this car, and do get great mileage, (30 city, 42 highway EPA) and up to 600 miles per tank if all highway! Only selling due to needing a bigger car for growing family.
It's all up to date on Audi service, and it's under warranty for another 15 months. (August 2015) Things I've bought for it: Llumar CTX Ceramic tint, 40% - as you see it's not very dark but still gives a nice custom look. Installed professionally at Winner's in Rockville. All weather OEM A3 mats - Original mats come as well Audi Sport rear cargo mat with 4 velcro cargo organizers - this is a great upgrade, works great. The front bumper has a small indent in it, and the grill surround has two small cracks due to a parking lot type collision. It didn't affect anything besides that, and I hardly notice it to be honest. See pic below. Diesel Engine, Avant, Hatchback, Sportback, Wagon |

Audi may add plug-in hybrid A6, A8 and Q7 to range [w/poll]
Mon, 17 Mar 2014Audi could be getting even more diverse with its powertrains for the A6, A8 and Q7, moving beyond offering just gas- and diesel-powered models and adding plug-in hybrid variants of the three luxury vehicles. The report comes from Indian Autos Blog, which spoke to Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Audi's research and design chief, who confirmed the PHVs.
The next-generation Q7, due in 2015, will be the pioneer for the full-size PHV movement from Audi, although the A3 Sportback E-Tron (shown above) will precede it. The move toward plug-ins by Audi is a big step, as the German marque has stayed quite firmly in the diesel camp, outside of its racing efforts. It's developed a few E-Tron cars over the years, including a version based on the R8, although it wasn't until recently that production of the electric sports car became serious again.
It's believed that this hesitance to really dive into the PHV market is why Audi sacked former research and design boss Wolfgan Dürheimer, with IAB speculating that his approach was too conservative.
2015 Audi TT's digital gauge cluster to spread throughout lineup
Tue, 18 Mar 2014File this one under: "makes sense to us." According to Car and Driver, the slick new gauge cluster found in the 2015 Audi TT will expand to other models in the automaker's lineup. In the near term, expect the tech to make its way into the next R8 supercar (with a special performance display for that model), as well as the upcoming, all-new versions of the A4 sedan and Q7 crossover.
Audi's new customizable gauges first debuted at this year's CES - it uses a 12.3-inch TFT display, and, while similar to the systems found in the Cadillac CTS, XTS and Mercedes-Benz S-Class, this system has the ability to show full-screen, three-dimensional maps. We had a chance to check out the new display in-person at CES, and found it to be impressive, though we're curious to see how distracting it is while driving.
Car and Driver says the system is still undergoing small tweaks before Audi officially launches it in the TT later this year. From there, the display will be standard in the R8, but Audi is unsure about whether or not to offer it as a standalone option in the higher-volume A4 and Q7 models.
Audi R18 E-tron gets new livery, mixes it up in city traffic [w/video]
Wed, 26 Mar 2014The 24 Hours of Le Mans is still months away, but Audi Sport apparently can't wait to get started. It has just debuted the new livery for its 2014 R18 E-tron Quattro with a public drive through the streets of the town of Le Mans, while simultaneously announcing that it has a new, larger engine.
Factory driver Tom Kristensen piloted the prototype about six miles from the cathedral in the city center to the famous race track and completed a lap of a shortened version of the course. The car wears a new color scheme, which is similar to what it has raced with in the past, employing a combination of white, silver and red, plus a touch of black. Portions of the car are also reflective to show up better at night. The last time we saw the R18, it was displayed in a black and red livery. The team has also revealed that the 2014 will be powered by a new 4.0-liter diesel V6, an increase of about 300 cubic-centimeters from last season.
Audi Sport said that the stunt was inspired by the classic days of the race when drivers used to arrive to the city in the same cars they were going to race. Even back then, it's doubtful they arrived several months early, though. The 2014 R18 will make its competition debut on April 20 at the Six Hours of Silverstone. Scroll down to watch a video of it making the drive through town and read the full press release.
