Audi Tt Quattro Roadster Convertible Awd Manual Transmission, 225 Hp Turbo on 2040-cars
Daly City, California, United States
You are bidding on a 2003 Audi TT Quattro Roadster AWD Manual Transmission, 225 HP Turbo Interior color: Baseball Optic Tan Color: Arctic White Miles: 58,916 FEATURES Among other features, highlights include: Bose audio system with 10 disc CD changer Automatic Climate Control System Heated leather stitched seats 19” alloy wheels
The car is all wheel drive 225 hp turbo. Four cylinder turbo strikes a perfect balance between underpowered 195 hp, 4 cylinder engine and heavy, gas guzzling 250 hp, 6 cylinder model. With it's all wheel drive and manual transmission, this model is comparable to an Audi TT RS roadster that starts at 66K. CONDITION This car has been in my possession for about seven years and it's in immaculate condition. It was maintained and serviced on regular basis. Only synthetic oil and premium gas were used- records available. It's my third car. Me and my wife used this car for our trips to Napa, every other weekend. It was always garaged. Never used for city commute. As a result,- not a single dent on it's doors and fenders; bumpers that never been re-painted and still look new. The leather seats are in perfect condition,- no tears, cracks or scratches. Windshield is free of cracks and chips. The carpeted floor is free of stains and cigarette burns. This car never been smoked in,- neither by the owner, nor passengers. Driven by an adult. No engine alterations of any kind where done. Transmission, clutch and shifting work like Swiss clock. CLEAN TITLE Note: not all clean titles are the same. This car was never even in the small fender-bender.(important, since those are not always reported to insurance companies). CONVERTIBLE TOP The car was always parked in a heated garage. You can polish an old car to perfection, but the faded, worn out top, will give it's age away. This TT's top is in like new condition. EXTRAS TT is a wonderful car with robust, precise transmission, but like any model of any make it has it's own weak spot. TT's flaw is it's transmission selector fork (a weak rivet, to be exact). Tiny part that fails regardless of your driving style. It's a common and a very expensive problem (Google Audi TT selector fork), fixing which may cost you anywhere from 4k-7k, depending on your negotiations skills and whether you have any friends working at Audi service station. A new selector fork with reinforced rivet were installed on this TT, so you wouldn't have to. As well as: A new clutch 7700 miles back. ($3,500) New spark plugs and engine coils ($500) And a new set of tires. ($800)
I feel sorry to part with it, but have to make room for expanding family and other vehicles. Flexible on the price as long as it ends up in good hands. P.S. Since everyone's mastery of stick shift is different, and due to precise nature of Audi's German engineered transmission, test drives will only be offered to buyers who are comfortable with the price and ready to buy. I'll be happy to give a ride to all others. |

2015 Audi A8 and S8 get some new goodies
Wed, 21 Aug 2013Luxury car buyers are a demanding bunch. They've got this crazy notion that just because they're spending the better part of a hundred grand on a top-tier luxury sedan, they should get the very best and the cutting edge of what the industry has to offer. That has tended to come down to the S-Class even when it had grown long in the tooth, and now that Mercedes-Benz has rolled out an all-new version, the competition is falling all over itself to release updates to keep their flagship sedans in the running. Jaguar did that just yesterday with its XJ sedan, and now Audi has revealed the latest revisions to its A8 range.
Set to debut at the Frankfurt show in just a few weeks from now, the latest A8 (and its performance version, the S8) benefits from a series of stylistic, powertrain, and technology upgrades. Among the most prominent, of all things, are the new Matrix LED headlights that can automatically lower the high-beams for oncoming vehicles, with integrated turn signals that light up to point in the direction the driver's about to turn. But that's hardly the end of the story.
Audi has apparently reduced the output on the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 to from 328 horsepower to 310 but raised the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 from 414 hp to 435, which now offers a 0-60 run of just 4.5 seconds. That's just three tenths behind the S8, which remains unchanged at 513 hp, as does the 493-hp 6.3-liter W12. The 3.0-liter TDI is up from 247 hp to 258, the 4.2-liter TDI grows from 345 hp to at 385 (with a massive 627 pound-feet of torque to boot) and the hybrid that offers a combined 245 hp and 354 lb-ft. That makes for one massive array of engines globally, although only some of them will be offered Stateside. Each is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive, but thanks to the A8's lightweight construction, it's lighter than any other all-wheel-drive model in its class.
2019 BMW X7 vs luxury SUV rivals: Comparing specs and photos
Wed, Oct 17 2018Today we get our first-ever look at the first-ever 2019 BMW X7 crossover. We've actually already had our first-ever drive in an X7 Prototype. And so, we thought it appropriate to follow that up today with the first-ever X7 comparison of specs between BMW's first-ever three-row crossover with legitimate room for seven and its many high-dollar competitors. On paper, the 2019 X7 definitely seems to most closely align with the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class. Their similar dimensions, interior space, engine choices and price would certainly imply where BMW placed the target when developing X7. We used those same elements to determine three-row vehicles likely to be cross-shopped or that should be cross-shopped. These include the Audi Q7, Land Rover Discovery, Volvo XC90 and Lincoln Navigator. Yes, the latter is a truck-based SUV as opposed to a crossover, but tell that to all the people lining out the door at the local Lincoln emporium. They do not care, and neither shall we. We also included the 2019 BMW X5, which was completely redesigned for this year and therefore not the first-ever. That makes it less appealing? Either way, lining the new X5 up with the SUV that leapfrogs it atop BMW's SUV hierarchy should provide a good idea of just how much more you get by going up a model number. Engines and model lineup Again, the X7 aligns closest with the GLS, offering a base six-cylinder in its xDrive40i model and an upgrade turbo V8 in the xDrive50i. The Mercedes engines have greater output, but the GLS still accelerates slower than the BMW. As the 2019 X5 offers the exact same engines, we would also expect the X7's fuel economy to be superior to the GLS once its estimates are announced. It should be noted, though, that the GLS offers a high-powered AMG model whereas we anticipate the X7 to offer a plug-in hybrid model comparable to the X5 upcoming xDrive45e model. The other luxury SUVs diverge in their engine choices and model lineup. The Audi Q7 offers a base turbocharged four-cylinder, as does the Volvo XC90 in its T5 model, which we left out of the above chart entirely for space reasons. That the Q7 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 gets the same fuel economy estimates as the four-cylinder is proof positive that engine is purely around for its lower base price.
VW announces reworked 6.0 W12 TSI engine
Mon, May 11 2015Nobody makes more engines with a dozen cylinders than the Volkswagen Group. They're W12s, of course, owing to the novel shape of their cylinder banks. Now the German industrial giant has announced a comprehensively reworked version of that engine at the same Vienna Motor Symposium where it presented its new 2.0-liter turbo four. The new W12 retains the same arrangement and the same 6.0-liter displacement, but updates it all with the latest powertrain tech. In place of Audi's FSI direct injection and Bentley's TMPI multi-point injection, the engine has adopted a new TSI system. It's also got a pair of new twin-scroll turbochargers, APS-coated cylinders, a new cooling system, active engine mounts, cylinder deactivation, and a stop/start system. And – crucially for application in the upcoming Bentayga – it has an oil circuit designed for off-road use. The revised package now produces 600 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. Considerably more than the 567 hp and 516 lb-ft offered in the Bentley Continental GT W12, but less than the GT Speed, which we suspect will get an even more powerful version of this new engine. It's also more powerful than even the top version of Audi and Bentley's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, to make the W12 a more compelling option. Of course that's just as far as the Continental GT is concerned. The W12 has also found use in the Continental GTC and Flying Spur, as well as the Volkswagen Phaeton and Audi A8, and could find further applications under the Flying B emblem and elsewhere in the future. VW says that in the right application (say, in the production version of the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 concept, for example), the new twelve-pot could deliver 0-62 times of under four seconds and a top speed in excess of 186 miles per hour. Volkswagen at the 36th International Vienna Motor Symposium Dr. Heinz-Jakob Neusser: "The car of the future will continue to fascinate people" - CO2 reduction, electromobility and digitalisation are the greatest challenges facing the automotive industry - The future of the internal combustion engine will be characterised by high rpm diesel and high-performance three-cylinder TSI engines - Laser roughening – innovative coating process in large-scale production - New 6.0 W12 TSI with 447 kW (608 PS) – performance and refinement - New generation of EU6 TDI engines for light-duty vehicles Dr.
