2012 Audi Tt Quattro Rs Coupe 2-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Aurora, Colorado, United States
Only 20K miles, always garaged, never on the track. Has typical windshield pitting, barely noticeable. Driver's side front wheel has a small scuff, being repaired. Non-smoking, still has that new leather smell.
Has every available option, including all-weather Audi floor mats and cargo liner. Has XM Radio and hook-ups for Apple products and others. Blue tooth hands free. GPS Nav and moving map display. I'm the second owner, purchased from a private owner via Ebay Motors 1 year ago. Mid-life crisis has passed. New Michelin Super Sport Z rated tires. All maintenance performed by McDonald Audi in Denver. Still 2 years remain on manufacturer's warranty and prepaid oil changes. This is a 'poor man's super-car', capable of 170mph+ (untested). The interior fits like your favorite pair of Levi's and a leather jacket. This is a true luxury sports car. Only five hundred were shipped to the US in 2012 and no more after 2013 (only about a thousand in the US). Keep your low ball bids, I know what I have. Buyer pays full amount via cashier's check and takes delivery in Denver. |

MotorWeek revisits Audi's iconic Quattro
Tue, 11 Nov 2014The Subaru WRX, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and just about every other all-wheel-drive performance car owes something to the legendary Audi Quattro, a model that was far more successful on the motorsports scene than it was in the showroom. Despite its modest sales, the UrQuattro still looms large in automotive lore, and indeed, in Audi's own sense of self. Considering the brand's semi-regular flirtation with the idea of a reborn Quattro, MotorWeek must have figured it'd be a good idea to revisit the original by digging up this archival review.
While time has the ability to cover up the warts of iconic automobiles, it should be noted that Motor Week host John Davis had more than a few critiques for the all-wheel-drive, turbocharged coupe.
Davis calls the Quattro's slalom handling "a disappointment," citing the overpowered engine and slow steering, and he had some unkind words for the brakes, as well. For our part, we're kind of wowed by the amount of ship-like body motion during testing, yet that sort of bobbing was certainly par for the course back in the early '80s.
Audi A7 getting nip and tuck
Tue, 21 Jan 2014It's been less than two years since the Audi A7 first went on sale in the US, but European buyers have been able to enjoy the sleek and stylish hatchback for twice as long. As such, Audi is preparing to give its A7 a mild refresh with tweaked exterior styling, but we're also expecting some of the features found in the all-new 2015 Audi A8 to possibly trickle down to the A7.
From what we can tell in these spy shots, the A7 is getting a minor facelift that includes a restyled front fascia and new headlights, which will likely boast Audi's new Matrix LED system. At the rear of the car, similar changes have been made with a fascia that now gets integrated outlets and different taillights that have a Lamborghini-like display.
Not apparent in these images - but still a good bet for production - we'd expect to see the new A7 get some of Audi's updated engines or new driver assist technologies. No definite word as to when we'll be seeing the refreshed A7 in person, but considering how close to production ready as this car seems to be, our bet is on the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
Audi Sport sets up new shop in Neuburg
Thu, 04 Sep 2014Racing fans may know Audi best for its Le Mans team that's positively dominated the endurance racing scene. But as formidable as its Le Mans program is, that's only one of the racing disciplines in which Audi competes. It also competes in the full FIA World Endurance Championship, as well as Germany's popular DTM touring car series and supports customer teams in GT racing series around the world. And now the competition division is getting a new headquarters.
Audi Sport has until now been based in an old supermarket near to the company's head offices in Ingolstadt, but is now moving into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility 12 miles to the west in nearby Neuburg. The result of some 20 years of planning and two years of construction, the complex covers 116 acres of land in Neuburg-Heinrichsheim and will house engineers, technicians and other staff who deal with the R18 E-Tron Quattro, the RS5 DTM and R8 LMS Ultra that compete the world over.
The facility was officially opened this past Saturday with participation from top Audi brass and local government officials and included demonstrations from all three of those racecars around the on-site test track. The works team has begun moving in and the customer racing department will move into its new Motorsport Competence Center in the first half of 2015.
