Hello,
You are viewing a used Audi TT Quattro AWD TURBO that was a daily driver for a 50+ year old woman. This car is ready to be driven everyday. This car was maintained regularly and has had the top-end of the engine rebuilt... The timing belt snapped and the valves were bent. So it has all new valves, 5 angle valve job, new head gasket (and all related seals), new spark plugs & wires and a new clutch (only because it was in the shop already, figured might as well do it now). This car drives perfectly... It has no rattles or shakes, it does not pull either way, brakes don't make any noise, exhaust does not leak, convertible top does not leak at all (not even while being washed), tires were replaced recently. It does have normal wear & tear for the mileage which I tried to show in the pictures. It has a few chips above windshield, a little damage to front spoiler and the rims are not perfect. I like to be honest and fair so there is nothing to hide about this car, please feel free to ask anything you'd like. The only current issues that have not been addressed are the following: the sensor that says the convertible top is open needs to be replaced or have the contacts cleaned (indicator light on dash stays on), the overheating symbol comes up on the dash for the first minute you start the car when cold then goes off and the driver window will sometimes need to belowered to close door (the convertible car does it by itself normally but sometimes doesnt work... I would say it works perfect 90% of the time). I am selling this car for my best friend's mother only because she already bought another new one and she no longer uses this one. This is a great car for someone who wants a truely therapeutic driving experience... It feels like a vacation compared to driving a normal car, holds the road like it's on rails and you can take it up to 120mph and be amazed by how quiet and stable the car is... It's a work of German art. If you haven't driven one, you have no idea.... Good luck and thank you!

Audi wiring cars with cameras to see how ferret-like creatures tear them apart
Thu, 06 Nov 2014In this German-language video, we see a batch of Audi engineers wiring up an A3 Cabriolet with a network of small cameras. The goal? To help identify where and how stone martens - small, ferret-like animals - attack cars. The idea is to observe the animals' behavior around the vehicles, see where they go, what they chew on, and work to develop solutions.
So why go to all this trouble? Cars and trucks are easily the single-most complex consumer good, and they're subject to the widest variety of conditions, regulations and usage cases that one could possibly imagine. They also come with very high consumer expectations for reliability. Thus, it's up to automakers to vet their vehicles for just about every possible scenario and threat - including weasels. And if that means Audi has to go hire Walter Simbeck, animal trainer to the stars, and string up a bunch of GoPros on an A3, well, they're game.
In speaking with Autoblog, Mark Dahncke, senior product manager at Audi of America said it best:
Audi design chief Egger leaving for Italdesign Giugiaro
Thu, 05 Dec 2013Wolfgang Egger, Audi's chief designer, is leaving the company according to a Automotive News Europe, which cites a report from Germany's Automobilwoche. Egger won't be going far, though, remaining within the Volkswagen family and taking up head design position Italdesign Giugiaro, a VW subsidiary as of 2010.
Egger took over the position at Audi from Walter de Silva, and has been responsible most recently for the Audi A6 and A3, as well as the 2010 Quattro Concept and the E-Tron Concept. He previously was head of design at Lancia and then at Alfa Romeo, where he was responsible for the achingly gorgeous 8C Competizione.
If Egger does move to Italdesign, his successor is likely to be Marc Lichte, the Volkswagen designer behind the current Golf. Of course, these personnel changes haven't been officially confirmed, and Audi is thus far refusing to comment on either Egger or Lichte's possible career shifts. We'll stay with this one, so sit tight.
Audi moves to patent electric Quattro and active-shutter wheels
Thu, 13 Feb 2014Audi might have a few tricks up its sleeve for the coming years, with the Brits at Autocar uncovering a pair of patent filings made by the German luxury brand. The first is something we've seen before - wheel flaps - while the second is an evolution of one of Audi's trademark technologies.
We last saw wheel flaps on the Ford Atlas Concept in 2013, but the futuristic fuel-saving tech has so far failed to arrive on a production car. Audi may be seeking to change that, patenting the flaps that open and close automagically based on airflow. They can also open if the brakes get too hot.
The second patent is an evolution of Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive. The new AWD system uses an electrically driven rear axle and wheel sensors to figure out when and at which corner the car might lose traction, and is targeted largely at hybrid offerings, which is a field Audi has only recently dipped its toe into.
