2000 Audi Tt Quattro Awd Green, 5sp, Priced To Sell Fast on 2040-cars
San Francisco, California, United States
I am selling my 2000 Audi TT Quattro 5 speed manual because I just don't have enough room for it. Priced to sell fast.
The interior is in good condition, grey leather in good condition (no rips or tears), no sun damage or fading on the dashboard either, everything is original. The exterior is in fair condition, the only problem is the front lower bumper that is cracked (see picture), there is a scrape on underside of passenger door (see picture) and the clear coat on the driver side mirror is starting to peel a bit (see picture). Other than that, the paint and clear coat is in good condition. The Quattro AWD works great (good traction for the snow), and has a decent amount of power for the 180hp motor. Major maintenance done at 154,000, (new tires, alignment, new water pump, timing belt, serpentine belt replaced). I just replaced the spark plugs on June 12th. Air conditioning blows cold, heated seats work great. The ABS light is on, I had the shop take a look at it and they said the ABS hydraulic pump is faulty and is giving code 01276 / V64. It doesn't affect driveability, I've never had a problem when braking hard. I have the pink slip in hand. I commute between San Jose and San Francisco so if you want to take a look, I can drive the TT and meet you anywhere in the area. Registration current until November and was smogged last year. I have the front license plate (just took it off for the pictures). I will not arrange shipping, buyer must pickup in person or arrange for shipping. I can assist with getting the car to a suitable pickup location. $5,900 OBO |

Next Audi R8 to be up to 130 pounds lighter
Tue, 26 Nov 2013"Simplify and add lightness," as Lotus founder Colin Chapman said. In a world where even supercars are subject to environmental, efficiency and emissions standards, lighter vehicles are being looked on as a sort of panacea - make it lighter, and it's automatically faster, more agile, easier to brake and better on gas.
Knowing this, it comes as no shock that Audi is looking at ways to lighten up its next-generation R8, with the brand's head of technical development Ulrich Hackenberg targeting a 110- to 130-pound diet for the mid-engine rocket. This supports previous reports regarding the focus for the next R8. Motor Trend reports that aluminum and carbon fiber feature heavily in plans for the next R8, which should go a long way toward slimming down even the lightest of R8s, the 3,678-pound V10 Plus model.
There's more over at Motor Trend, including the buff book's attempts to get Hackenberg to discuss powertrain options for the next R8.
Audi A8 and S8 get another video tease
Tue, 13 Aug 2013If there was any doubt before about which car(s) Audi recently teased in a video, now we know for sure. Audi has released another teaser video that confirms we'll at least be seeing the 2015 Audi S8 (and very likely the A8 as well) in the near future, but the big surprise is just how soon we'll see the new flagship sedan. We originally expected to see the sedan receive its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but now Audi says that the car will be presented about three weeks before the event on August 21.
How do we know this is the S8? Well, aside from it obviously being a large sedan, the true tell that this is its A8/S8 is the front license plate, which clearly shows "S8" on it - we've been doing this long enough to know that Audi's promotional license plates have the model designation in the plate number. As for other details, Audi's trick Matrix headlights shine through the thin veil in what should be the crown jewel of the sedan's new face. There's a little more than a week to go until the car is unveiled, but for now, check out the video below.
Audi A3 E-Tron starts at $38,825
Wed, Aug 5 2015Audi has announced the pricing for the new A3 E-Tron plug-in hybrid, listing the five-door's base price at $38,825. Adding the mid-range Premium Plus elevates the price to $42,925, while the top-of-the-line Prestige will demand $47,725. Of course, like so many hybrids the A3 e-tron's price is not so simply explained. The PHEV will likely be eligible for a $4,168 federal tax credit, while additional state tax credits are also available depending on where you live. And, if Audi's announcement isn't exciting enough for fuel-sippers across the country, we have another piece of good news – the A3 e-tron's configurator is live. While it's no different than any of Audi's other online configurators, potential owners can get a great rundown of the A3 E-Tron's entire options sheet. There's the usual array of options ranging from an MMI package on the base model, to a Technology Package on the mid-grade model, and a Sport Pack on the Prestige trim. With just a bit of fiddling – and while staying out of the accessories catalog – we were able to run the A3 E-Tron's price up to $49,025. That's just shy of what the car starts at in Germany. You can check out the official press release on the E-tron MSRP announcement below, or just head over to Audi's US consumer website and have a go with the configurator.
