I do not even know where to start ! My Father bought this car NEW 2/17/95 and he was in Real Estate So he used this for Going to the Office and had a Chevy Blazer to go to the Jobs so this car Never saw winters or even rain because he would drive the Blazer on those days I was always the Tuner in the Famliy. So I pulled the computer out when the car had 1000 miles on it and sent it to Intended Acceleration for the 300 H.P. chip $ 850.00 and installed it back in and Never have had a Problem !!! So my father drove this car till 1998 and parked it in the garage with around 79000 miles on it.So sense 1998 till 2007 he put on 21000 more miles then passed away in 2008 and I inhered it and put on 5000 miles in the last 4 years then gave it to my Daughter for a Graduation Present in 2011 as a car to drive on Nice Days and she put on 2000 miles and dose not want to drive it anymore because she is scared that something will happen to it weather a Door Ding ,Accident,Pot Holes Etc and has moved and dose not have a garage to put it in so it is back in my garage and we agree it is maybe time to sell it to get a practical newer car for her.So Now for the Details Has NEVER Been in a Accident !!! Always garaged over the years I would change the wheels to get a different look and sent it out in 2001 and had the bigger injectors, intake, header, high flow cats BOGE Struts and Eibach Springs and Kami Grille Kami spliter, side rockers front lower valance and rear valance and very rare rear window shade at $ 6500.00 and always tinkering and cleaning it over the Years in 2010 I converted the exhausts to a 2001 S8 Duals was NOT easy job I had to take out the spare tire tub fabricate a new floor for the trunk out of alum to keep it Light and have it Bonded in for it to be rigid then re-work the Zender rear Valnce spent about $ 2500.00 then I bought another set of wheels and Rims that were Chrome Did not like them so had them painted Black that are on the Car now Plus another set of wheels for Audi Club day when I took it around Limerock Track with the Club a LOT of Fun those wheels go with car also oh yea I had a lower custom made front spoiler made of fiberglass and carbon fiber at a cost of $ 2400 it is a 1 off only 1 ever made I leave it off so my Daughter did not forget about pulling up to curbs easy'er to leave it off these are in the icture with all the paper work Original Title Most of the receipt's, Books, Key's Etc...I can go on and on only paint work was 5 years ago my buddy convince me to paint the front fenders because they had a lot of small stone chips because the flares stick out so I let him paint the fenders and they are a shade off in the right light you can see it but I do not trust anyone to blend any better ! also front and rear bumpers from stone chips but hood and all other panels are Original Paint and Show worthy.Interior is in Great shape everything works all leather is in Great Shape still have original Carpet floor mats ! There's just to much more to say Look at the Pictures read up about this car They Only Imported S6's in 1995 and Read any article about this Car and it will say this was the BEST AUDI Ever Made ! Audi's fastest cars won't catch your drift
Tue, Mar 28 2017"I don't like them. I do not see the reason for them. We do not see the sense in sitting there burning the back tires. It's not fast." – Stephan Reil Drift modes are popping up in sports cars all over the world, but Audi Sport development boss Stephan Reil refuses to have anything to do with them, insisting they're a waste of time and tires. So if you want to show off with a wild-looking, tire-smoking, perfectly controlled drift in an Audi Sport model, you will have to brush up on your car control, not your button pushing. "No drift mode. Not in the R8, not in the RS3, not in the RS6, not in the RS4," Reil said. "I don't like them. I do not see the reason for them. We do not see the sense in sitting there burning the back tires. It's not fast." That seems a bit like Reil and his team are missing a trick that is proving popular with enthusiast buyers and isn't technically difficult to do. It's also a whole lot safer than holding down the skid-control button for long enough to switch off all the electronic safety nets, which Audi Sport will actually let you do. "You can do it yourself [drifting] with the ESP off, if you hold it [the button] for three seconds," Reil challenged. "Then it will not intervene for you even when it [the car] is fully out of control, because that's what you asked it not to do. "You wanted the full control by pushing that button. You got it." Almost every fast car, from Ford to Ferrari, now comes with (or soon will) a drift mode so drivers can just stomp on the gas and turn the wheel to instantly look like rally stars. The dangers of do-it-yourself drift control (which our forefathers used to call "driving") make up most of the moral defense for the companies that use the computer-controlled versions. While critics have called drift modes irresponsible, proponents argue that it is far safer than switching off all the safety nets, because there is still a level of skid-control safety behind it. "Drift control is a lot safer than just turning everything off," BMW M chief Franciscus van Meel said during the launch of the M550i xDrive. "The drivers can enjoy the car on a track but it still has another level of safety to catch them if they make a mistake." View 23 Photos But is that extra level of safety actually for the common good? Critics note there is no way to restrict drivers using drift modes on suburban streets.
A luxury crossover for people who like to drive | 2018 Audi Q5 First Drive
Fri, Oct 7 20161.6 million. That's how many Q5s Audi has sold since the model's 2008 debut, making the agreeable but stylistically neutral sport-ute the best-selling premium SUV on the planet. One in four Audis sold is a Q5, which is a big part of why the German carmaker made significant improvements intended to ensure the 2018 Audi Q5 is another success story. For starters, the Q5 has swollen in size. Not by much – we're talking 1.3 inches in length, half an inch in wheelbase, and incrementally more height – but enough to boost rear legroom by 0.39 inch and add 0.31 inch to rear headroom. If you're worried that curb weight has bloated in direct proportion to the larger footprint, fear not: The 2018 model is actually up to 198 pounds lighter than the model it replaces, thanks to a carefully modulated blend of high tensile steels and aluminum in the chassis, and incremental weight savings throughout. Two turbocharged engines are available: the Q5's 2.0-liter TFSI engine producing 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque (doing the 0-to-62-mph sprint in 6.4 seconds), and the SQ5's 3.0-liter TFSI mill that turns 354 hp and 369 lb-ft (capable of whisking it to 62 mph in 5.2 seconds). The 2.0-liter meets a new seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission, while the beefier 3.0-liter gets a conventional eight-speed torque-converter-equipped gearbox to handle the higher torque. Audi's new Quattro ultra setup (already seen in the A4 and Q7) offers fully variable torque distribution that helps achieve 20/27 mpg with the 2.0-liter and 18/26 mpg for the 3.0-liter. The system can de-couple the rear axle via an electronic clutch, which improves fuel economy; with 100 percent of torque directed to the front wheels during straight-line driving, the parasitic losses of running power needlessly through the rear differential are avoided, while a second clutch controls front/rear torque distribution. Audi says the ultra setup works proactively, not reactively, using torque vectoring to distribute power and anticipating changes in vehicle dynamics 500 milliseconds before the torque is redistributed. While there are numerous tech updates under the skin, the body itself is very familiar. In person, the Q5's looks are tweaked ever-so-slightly thanks primarily to a curvier, crisper character line that is so sharp, it casts its own shadow under certain lighting conditions. Inside, a Q7-like upgrade gives the cabin a more sophisticated feel.
Comparison test: 2019 Acura RDX vs. compact luxury SUV competitors
Fri, Jun 1 2018Truth be told, if we were to compare the all-new 2019 Acura RDX with those compact luxury crossover SUVs it would most likely be cross-shopped against, you'd be looking at a different list. Even Acura admits that Lexus and Infiniti are the most likely bogies, but with the 2019 RDX, Honda's luxury brand is attempting to attract those customers who think as much with their hearts as with their heads. And for the most part, those folks have been buying from German brands: the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. So, to show how the new RDX compares to them, Acura actually provided examples of each during the recent press drive along with a Volvo XC60. All were determined to have greater emotional appeal than the last RDX, and we would certainly agree. For, as much as the previous-generation RDX made sense on paper, it was really hard to get excited about it. And when you're paying extra for a luxury vehicle, shouldn't you get a little excited? Well, as luck would have it, Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and I were on hand in Whistler, British Columbia, for the press launch. We didn't have an abundance of time in each RDX competitor, but in conjunction with our usual comparison chart, our impressions should provide a good first taste of how the new RDX compares. Performance and fuel economy Contributing Editor James Riswick: On paper at least, the RDX is gutsier than its comparably powered European rivals. It also weighs the same or less, which logically should mean it'll be the quickest in a straight line. During my brief drives, though, I'm not sure it really stood taller than the three Germans. It at least matches them for smoothness, which is something that can't be said about the Volvo. Fuel economy is lower than them all when you consider all but the Mercedes come standard with all-wheel drive. It's also worth noting that all the competitors are available with engine upgrades, and unless Acura's forthcoming resurrection of Type S models includes the RDX, it should stay that way. Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski: Line 'em all up in a drag race, and I have a feeling the Acura would squirt away to victory. A good bit of that, though, would be due to its 10-speed automatic transmission, which offers a huge spread of ratios and fires off extremely quick shifts. In the real world, I'd guess fuel economy will be similar across the board, so I'm willing to call that category a draw.
