Sport Package 6speed Stage 3 With Tons Of Modifications on 2040-cars
New Bedford, Massachusetts, United States
I love this car and don't want to sell it but I need to. Has been a very fun and reliable car for me and im sure the next owner will enjoy it as much as I have. I have tons of money and time invested into this car and most of the major maintenance has already been done along with long list of modifications which has made this car a very fast and fun daily driver.
2000 Audi s4 sport package 6speed at 130k: New starter New front passanger side, axle, wheel bearing and wheel hub
The good: Very solid car, runs and drives very well. Engine runs strong and the transmission shifts very well. Very clean body and clean interior for the year. Now for the bad, nothing major wrong with the car but there are a few small issues: Infamous issue with the center LCD dash pixles being distorted, about $150 to replace the screen just has not bothered me enough to fix. Front brake rotors will have to be replaced in the future, the car still stops fine but does have a slight vibration under heavy braking. Ebrake doesn't work very well, been that way since I purchased the car and never got around to fixing it. Not sure if it needs to be tightened or what. Engine light comes on and off due to the catless exhaust system, you can get a tune to code them out or use 02 simulators to permanently get rid of the light. 2 small burn holes on the bottom of the back seat from previous owner.

Audi sketches out new TT ahead of Geneva debut
Thu, 20 Feb 2014In less than two weeks, the doors will open at the Geneva Motor Show, and we'll be there to capture all the action. Among the dozens of new debuts we're looking forward to will be the arrival of the new third-generation Audi TT, and to give us a better idea of what we're looking forward to, Ingolstadt has released this series of teaser sketches.
Looking every bit like a TT should and drawing heavily on the Allroad Shooting Brake concept that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show last month, the images foretell of a new Audi sports coupe with a single-frame grille, matrix LED lighting and a deeply creased hood with the four-ring emblem placed atop the nose, as on the R8.
Horizontal lines at the back preview Audi's next design language, with twin exhaust tips flanking the diffuser on base models and quad tips on the next TTS. A cleaner interior design also harkens back to the first-gen TT that started it all and from which the new one draws its inspiration. Scope out the images in the gallery above for a closer look at what's to come, then scroll down for the details in the press release below.
Next Audi R8 to be up to 130 pounds lighter
Tue, 26 Nov 2013"Simplify and add lightness," as Lotus founder Colin Chapman said. In a world where even supercars are subject to environmental, efficiency and emissions standards, lighter vehicles are being looked on as a sort of panacea - make it lighter, and it's automatically faster, more agile, easier to brake and better on gas.
Knowing this, it comes as no shock that Audi is looking at ways to lighten up its next-generation R8, with the brand's head of technical development Ulrich Hackenberg targeting a 110- to 130-pound diet for the mid-engine rocket. This supports previous reports regarding the focus for the next R8. Motor Trend reports that aluminum and carbon fiber feature heavily in plans for the next R8, which should go a long way toward slimming down even the lightest of R8s, the 3,678-pound V10 Plus model.
There's more over at Motor Trend, including the buff book's attempts to get Hackenberg to discuss powertrain options for the next R8.
We demo Audi's Traffic Jam Assistant tech on the road [w/video]
Tue, 07 Jan 2014The closer automotive technology comes to making good on the promise of fully driverless vehicles, the better we see just what difficult work reaching that ultimate goal will become. That's because, unlike so many other in-car technologies that need only integration into a vehicle, truly autonomous cars will also insist on involvement with the surrounding environment, fellow motorists, infrastructure in cities and other communities and making it all work without exposing automakers to law-breaking or tremendous possible litigation. Clearly that isn't all about to happen in one go.
At CES in 2012, Audi told us about a debuting technology that would mark a significant step along the path towards self-driving cars: Traffic Jam Assistant. This year, the German automaker invited us out to Las Vegas to see the jam-busting technology in action, on a relatively busy freeway.
The Traffic Jam Assistant (we're pretty sure that name is still in Beta) promises to relieve drivers from the tedium of slow-moving freeways by taking care of braking, acceleration and staying inside of the lane - all with no input from the human behind the wheel. While still a fair step from truly autonomous driving, the goal here is to give a commuter some respite from the mechanical, time-wasting traffic jam paradigm, potentially opening up a space for productivity in the process. (Audi can't come right out and say that TJA will allow you to use your cell phone in traffic, as that's still against the law in many places, but something like that is clearly on the radar... er... LiDAR.)
