2000 AUDI S4 | STG3| 6SPD

I am selling my beloved 2000 Audi S4. This is a very well kept car that has been my daily driver for the last 12 years. In that time it has been a California bay area car. The mileage has been split between highway and city. I have taken it from bone stock to a Stage 3 build procured by 034 Motorsport. I have a complete car service history. There is some standard wear and tear patina to the car that would be expected on well-kept daily driver. This car has not been abused or tracked and has been garaged for the majority of its life.

There is about 150k miles on the car. The motor was rebuilt around 100k miles when it was upgraded to an AWE stage 3- setup. It has sense undergone many upgrades and services through 034 Motorsport. It is now a robust Stage 3 car.

Modifications:

  • RS4 DTM wheels
  • H&R Coil Overs
  • Stoptech 355mm Big Brake kit (Front)
  • Autospeed Turbo back exhaust
  • RS4 KO4 turbochargers (AWE)
  • RS4 clutch and pressure plate
  • RS4 motor mounts
  • AWE Drivetrain stabilizer
  • AWE RS4 intercoolers
  • 034 Fueling system and custom tuning
  • JHM solid shifter
  • Foraged Diverter valves
  • HID Ecode headlights
  • AWE vent boost gauge
  • Turbo timer
  • RS4 Grill
  • RS4 front bumper modification.

The car is fresh from a service at 034 Motor Sport. Some main wear-and-tear items were replaced:

  • Control arms
  • CV boots
  • Control arm bushings
  • Power steering pump

This car is in great mechanical shape and should provide a visceral driving experience.

I would prefer a local pickup however I would ship it at the buyers expense. I will be selling the car as-is, and I am not interested in parting the car out. I do however have the couple of the stock components in storage I can throw into the sale if interested.

Please PM me if you are interested. I would be more than happy to give you specific details and pictures of the car.

Thank you for looking.

Audi RS Q3 gets snarlier, hits 62 mph in 4.8 seconds [w/video]

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

Well, that was quick. A mere 20 months after its debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Audi has issued a fairly significant update to its RS Q3 crossover. A light exterior refresh - the most noticeable change is that the grille surround and headlights are now joined - belies more significant changes under the compact crossover's hood.
Power from the 2.5-liter, turbocharged five-cylinder has been boosted nicely from 310 horsepower to 340, while torque has jumped from 309 pound-feet to 332 lb-ft. The result of this extra thrust is that the tiny CUV can now scamper to 62 miles per hour in a seriously quick 4.8 seconds, rather than the original RS Q3's 5.5-second sprint. A new fifth-generation multi-plate clutch is fitted to the seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission, which Audi claims will now deliver even quicker shifts.
Lighter brake rotors with ridiculous eight-piston calipers in the front provide what we imagine is a lot of stopping power, while Audi continues to offer an optional adaptive damper system. 19-inch wheels are standard while 20s are optional.

2015 Audi A3 E-Tron [w/video]

Tue, 15 Jul 2014

Over the years, we've had a chance to test a lot of Audi E-Tron vehicles, from very early all-electric prototypes (back then we only got to sit in the passenger seat) to the A6 L E-Tron PHEV and the A1 E-Tron plug-in hybrid. All of them were concepts and promises, merely whispers of what was possible, even as the Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt and two Tesla models were making waves in the marketplace.
As we learned last year in our Deep Dive of the E-Tron project, all of the concepts, prototypes and rumors have finally come to fruition in this A3 Sportback E-Tron. Previously, we were given a chance to drive a prototype, but it was only very briefly. Last week, we finally got to run a production-representative example through the hilly roads between Vienna, Austria and Munich, Germany. After spending a solid day with Audi's first marketable E-Tron vehicle, we can say that it's a most amazing bit of engineering, in particular for the way that Audi has done so much to hide the fact that this is an electrified vehicle. Not entirely, of course, but the idea was to make the A3 Sportback E-Tron a no-compromise PHEV. And that means it drives and feels, in many ways, like the standard A3 Sportback despite over 700 extra pounds. Oh, and there's a charge port hidden behind the four rings in the grille.

Audi Prologue concept drives itself to CES with updated powertrain

Thu, Jan 8 2015

What's the point in crafting a one-off concept car if it only gets to stand in the spotlight at one show? That's what automakers have been asking themselves recently, and the answer has, generally speaking, been to repaint their show cars, give them a bit of new tech and put them back on center stage. And the latest to do so is Audi, which has given its Prologue concept a new lease on life. The Prologue was originally unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show less than two months ago, showing the way forward for the future of Audi design, in an elegant coupe form that looked ready to take on the Mercedes S-Class Coupe. We even got a chance to drive it around the streets of LA, and when we did, we marveled at the concept's advanced infotainment system that caters a range of personal preferences according to who's on board. "It's easy to see how this could even reach for chauffeured, or autonomously driven vehicles" in the future, we said at the time. And it turns out Audi was on the same page. At CES this year, Audi has brought back the Prologue concept, given it a darker coat of grey paint, a grey-tone interior (instead of the previous shades of brown and tan), a fresh set of wheels and equipped it with the autonomous tech the German automaker has been at the forefront of developing. Though other automakers have been fitting their self-driving prototypes with all-electric powertrains, Audi kept the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 in place – but fitted it with a hybrid assist to drive output up from an already prodigious 605 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque to an even more impressive 677 hp and 701 lb-ft, dropping the 0-62 time down to 3.5 seconds. Now that's the kind of "piloted driving" tech (as Audi calls it) that we can get behind.
