2004 Audi S4 6spd in excellent condition. Gray leather interior. Burl walnut trim. 4.2 liter V8, ~350Hp, completely stock, never modified (rare for these cars), never raced or tracked, just had coolant flush and new battery installed. Car is in perfect working order. All buttons work. Recaro seats in excellent condition. Clutch is smooth and shifts perfectly.

Very fast car when you want it to be, but also very comfortable...and is absolutely the best car you could ask for in rainy or wintery weather. Quattro AWD system is excellent and always gives you confidence the vehicle is in control. Extensive service history receipts comes with vehicle. Carfax also has documented service history for vehicle as well. This car has never let me down, and never given me a bit of trouble. When this car came out, Car and Driver compared the Audi S4 to BMW E46 M3 and Mercedes C43 AMG of the day, and the Audi won hands down. I have driven all three and agree completely.

I'll be happy to answer any question and send more pictures upon request. Car is located in Austin, Texas. I would prefer local pick-up, but would be happy to help facilitate with buyer arranged transfer/delivery. I can also meet within a 100 mile radius of the Austin area. Buyer must contact me within 48hrs of auction end to arrange delivery and payment. This car is priced to sell. Thanks for looking.

Notes and notations on the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona [w/video]

Sat, 25 Jan 2014

This year is the 52nd edition of the Daytona 24 Hours. The 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona is also the first race of the year in the brand new TUDOR United SportsCar Championship (TUSCC) With the merger of the American Le Mans Series and Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series rewriting and revising the rules of American sports car racing right up until yesterday, we've made the journey to an intermittently wet and constantly freezing Daytona Beach, Florida with Audi to watch the new R8 LMS and every other competitor explore the limits of those rules on the track.
With a ton to cover - and a couple of videos below to watch, including some slo-mo qualifying footage and a hot lap in an R8 LMS - let's not waste time with chit-chat, eh?
Quick things to know about the classes and the leader-light system:

2014 Audi R8 V8

Where to even begin with the Audi R8 V8.
Let's start with the Ferrari 458 Italia, a car that doubles the base price of the Audi. It's much more fun to drive than it is to talk about; discussions among enthusiasts usually begin with someone saying, "It's amazing!" and end with everyone else agreeing. Opposite that is the vast, swirling nebula of cars that are often more fun to talk about than they are to drive.
In between, there are very few cars that are as fun to discuss as they are to drive, and this Audi is one. It's a car that challenges our notions about its actual competitive set and, even better, its philosophical competitive set, its driving experience, its price, its future, its present viewed from the future, and its verifiable and/or potential pedigree.

What kind of watch do you wear?
Especially today, when wearing a wristwatch is practically obviated by the near-ubiquitous use of cellphones, the timepiece found on one's arm makes a statement about how people perceive themselves.
A sport watch from Nike or Garmin would seem to indicate enthusiasm for athletic pursuit. Inexpensive fashion statements from Nixon or Nooka could signify a love of high design. Splashing out on a true luxury timepiece from Rolex, Bell & Ross or Breitling serves as a sort of human plumage display to connote, "I have thousands of dollars - at least - of disposable income."
