up for sale, my 01.5 Imola Yellow Audi S4 Avant with over $20,000 in upgrades! this car is putting out around 500hp and is capable of much more. it is a real plesure to drive! here is the complete list of modifications done to this car:

JHM RS6-R turbos
SRM intercoolers

BOSCH Racing EV-1 injectors
Deutschworks LP400 fuel pump
034 cold air with carbon fiber heat shield & 90mm MAF
ARD full 3" mandrel bent downpipes
SSAC dual exhaust
H&R ultrlow coilovers
034 lightweight flywheel, clutch slave
RS4 motor mounts
RS4 trans mounts
JHM DTS bar
JHM stage 4 clutch
wavetrack front diff
Raxle axles

Apikol rear diff mount
Awe boost gauge
Innovate wideband
New radiator
JHM Electric fan kit
Yellow 6 piston Porsche BBK w/350mm rotors
235/35ZR19 Pilot Super Sports
Piano black interior trim.

but the real key here is the Advanced Automotion TDI 6spd with 4:1 high bias center diff. it has a 4.11 final drive and 4th, 5th, & 6th are taller gears (.87,.67,.56 respectively) this is all for economy in driving and puts you at ~2K RPM at 60MPH. but it gives the car a theoretical top speed of ~220MPH in case you're interested in that sort of thing or just want to test those massive Porsche brakes! ;)

no expense has been spared in the building of this car, right down to the #1 place people always skimp: rubbers! I went for the Pilot Super Sport tires to give it grip to match the rest of the performance! The car has never been on a dyno, or track. It has always been adult owned and exceptionally maintained & it has always been properly warmed up and cooled down!

Audi investing $30.3 billion through 2018 for product expansion

Sun, 29 Dec 2013

How does Audi plan to reach two million units in annual sales and pay for the 11 new models it's adding to its lineup - an expansion that may include models named SQ2, Q9 and F-Tron? By increasing its investment to 22 billion euros ($30.3 billion US) between now and 2018. That figure represents an increase of about 500 million euros over the previously planned outlay, according to a report by Automotive News, and that could be due to Audi wishing to goad the momentum that pushed it to 1.5 million annual sales two years ahead of schedule.
It's also about staving off the challenges from BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Now that BMW has been able to turn some of its attention away from its "i" series of Megacity cars, it will reportedly spend more than planned in 2014 as it continues the rollout of ten all-new vehicles and 15 new-generation vehicles through the end of next year. Mercedes, having been dropped to third in the sales race, is preparing to add 13 new cars over the next six years.
Audi's money is going into technology, into product like the next-generation TT and the Q1 and production expansions and upgrades all over the world. The expenditure represents just under a fourth of Volkswagen's 84.2 billion-euro ($115.7 US) outlay devoted to taking the number-one global automaker title away from General Motors and Toyota by 2018.

Audi A8 and S8 get another video tease

Tue, 13 Aug 2013

If there was any doubt before about which car(s) Audi recently teased in a video, now we know for sure. Audi has released another teaser video that confirms we'll at least be seeing the 2015 Audi S8 (and very likely the A8 as well) in the near future, but the big surprise is just how soon we'll see the new flagship sedan. We originally expected to see the sedan receive its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but now Audi says that the car will be presented about three weeks before the event on August 21.
How do we know this is the S8? Well, aside from it obviously being a large sedan, the true tell that this is its A8/S8 is the front license plate, which clearly shows "S8" on it - we've been doing this long enough to know that Audi's promotional license plates have the model designation in the plate number. As for other details, Audi's trick Matrix headlights shine through the thin veil in what should be the crown jewel of the sedan's new face. There's a little more than a week to go until the car is unveiled, but for now, check out the video below.

Audi Q7 to be first diesel plug-in from VW group

Sun, Dec 7 2014

Lending credence to prior reports, the next Audi Q7 will be available with a diesel-powered, plug-in-hybrid powertrain, Automotive News claims, after speaking to a source in the Volkswagen Group. Both the gas and diesel-powered Q7 will debut in 2015, with the diesel PHV to arrive after that. Unlike Europe's other plug-in diesel, the Volvo V60, Audi's Q7 will be sold on both sides of the Atlantic, the source told AN. You can see a few spy photos of the Q7 PHV above. Audi research and development boss Ulrich Hackenberg previously confirmed that diesel plug-ins would be arriving earlier this year, although it wasn't clear which models the ultra-efficient powertrains would be offered on, or which of those would be offered here in the US. Time to play the waiting game...
