2003 Audi RS6 Quattro
4.2 V8 Twin Turbo 5 Speed Tiptronic Transmission Clean & Clear Title 130,500 Actual Miles Vehicle has been owned and maintained by a factory trained Audi technician in his mid 40's. No expense spared. The vehicle was a second car/toy car for the last two and a half years and only 5k miles were put on it in that time span. Garaged and waxed regularly. Only the best parts and fluids were used. In this 5k miles a trip to Chicago, a trip to MN for Eurowerks, and a trip to Kansas City for the dyno are included. One visit to the drag stip, with a time of 8.002 in the 1/8th mile. Currently the car is on the ME/NH border and is used as a second car/weekend car. This RS6 put down 448 AWHP / 512 AWTQ, dyno sheet available. Exterior condition is very good. No rust, no corrosion, no paint fade, and no damage. Some pitting on the leading edges of the wide fenders and front bumper. Nothing out of the ordinary but its there. Maybe 1 ding and some minor scratches. It looks incredible when clean and waxed! Interior condition is also excellent for the age. The leather was cleaned and conditioned with Lexol products and is very soft and clean. The carpet, dashboard, and all other interior bits are in great shape. No issues at all. Everything works as it should! There is probably more we are forgetting but this Audi RS6 is ready to rock without worrying about the dreaded issues and expensive maintenance. Everything is DONE! All parts used for maintenance were OEM Audi parts from the Audi Dealership. The aftermarket parts are top of the line and only about 5k miles old. This vehicle needs nothing! Transmission shifts flawlessly, and fluid is checked regularly. Absolutely no problems! All recalls have been performed, service history available. The DRC suspension works flawlessly and the ride is firm but very solid. Brakes are like new all around and the rest of the drivetrain as well. The engine and turbo's are super healthy. Oil has been changed with Motul 100% synthetic French performance oil. No issues whatsoever. It will come with a folder full of receipts, carfax, service history, dyno sheets, and other items. Original manual and two keys are included. Reason for Sale: Moving to Hawaii. |

Ward's Automotive Ten Best Engines of 2014 dominated by diesels, turbos
Thu, 12 Dec 2013With the Car and Driver Ten Best decided, the North American Car and Truck of the Year finalists announced and Cadillac, Ram and Subaru chalking up wins with Motor Trend, it's fair to say that the automotive awards season is in full swing. The next set of trophies to be handed out will be from Ward's Automotive, which has announced the winners of its 2014 10 Best Engines.
The latest contest was marked by the widespread emergence of diesel power and the continued success of turbocharged engines. There was even an electric motor on this year's list. In fact, only three of the ten winners were naturally aspirated and only two winners returned from last year.
"We weren't looking to throw the bums out, as they might say about an election. We were just really impressed with the flood of new powertrains," said Ward's Automotive Editor-in-Chief Drew Winter. Those new powertrains include the 83-kilowatt electric motor from the Fiat 500e, the 1.0-liter, EcoBoost three-cylinder from the Ford Fiesta and the 2.0-liter turbodiesel from the Chevrolet Cruze.
2015 Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron
Wed, 18 Dec 2013A little more than a year ago, I drove an Audi A3 E-Tron prototype - an early concept electric vehicle built on the outgoing second-generation A3 platform. While I was impressed with the technology, its 3,800-pound weight, 10-second 0-60 time and 90-mile range will likely put it only mid-pack, at best, among its future competitive set. But Audi promised bigger and better things would come.
I didn't have to wait long. Immediately following the Los Angeles Auto Show, Audi asked me come drive its all-new successor built on the company's third-generation A3 chassis. Compared to last year's model, the new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) boasts a lighter curb weight, quicker acceleration and six times the range. Calling it improved is an understatement. Best of all, it's heading to production.
Technically speaking, the 2015 Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron is a parallel hybrid, meaning its electric motor is sandwiched between a combustion engine and an automatic transmission - either, or both, is capable of powering the front wheels. The gasoline-powered engine is a direct-injected and turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder, rated at 150 horsepower. The transmission is a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. A 75-kW electric motor sits between the two. Water is used to cool the gasoline engine, the electric motor and the battery pack - there are three independent closed loops.
Cars we're thankful we drove in 2019
Thu, Nov 28 2019We drove a lot of cars in 2019, and there's still a month to go. We drove them in our home office in Michigan, at our remote offices in Seattle, Portland, Ore., and Columbus, Ohio, and throughout the globe on myriad press launches. We could count them, but hey, that seems boastful. Instead, we want to be thankful. Not only for the opportunity to do this wonderful task some might describe as a "job," but for the new, shiny cars that brighten our days (and most hopefully yours). We asked our fellow editors which car they were most thankful to drive in 2019 ... here are our answers. 2019 Hyundai Veloster N Performance Senior Editor Alex Kierstein Every once in a while a car comes along that changes the narrative on a company or its segment, and everyone scrambles to experience it for themselves. This year, for me, that car’s the Veloster N Performance, perhaps the most transformative car the companyÂ’s ever built. Everyone whoÂ’s driven it, here and elsewhere, says it captures all those intangibles that make great driving hatchbacks great. And IÂ’m thankful that I got a go in it before all of them left the fleet, because it does. It upends the segment long dominated by the GTI, a car that nails its brief. The N is rowdy and loud, sure, but it also has some of the most deftly tuned suspension IÂ’ve come across in a front driver. My advice: if youÂ’re in the market for something fun and unique, go test drive a Veloster N. I think youÂ’ll be thankful you did. 2019 Hyundai Veloster N View 47 Photos 2019 Audi E-Tron Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder IÂ’m pleased that I got to drive the Audi E-Tron. ThatÂ’s high praise for a year in which I also drove the stellar Jaguar I-Pace. The E-Tron, while not as sporty as the Jaguar, is excellently executed, and feels like a more refined, polished offering. ItÂ’s quick, whisper-quiet, comfortable, stylish inside and out, and incredibly sturdy. Some may lament that it doesnÂ’t do much to stand out from ICE vehicles, but I donÂ’t think it needs to. What it does need to do is win over the electro-skeptical, and I think Audi put its best foot forward with a crossover that can do just that, and more. So, yeah, not only am I thankful that I got to drive it, IÂ’m glad that itÂ’s compelling enough that itÂ’ll hopefully make potential customers feel the same. 2020 Audi E-Tron View 13 Photos 2013 Peugeot 508 West Coast Editor James Riswick My choice totally sucks.
