2011 Audi R8 Spyder V10 525 H.P. 14,000 Miles AWD Carbon Fiber Calif. 2011 Audi R8 5.2 quattro Spyder 2-Door Convertible
Vehicle Description 2011 Audi R8 *Spyder* V10 5.2 Liter / 525 Horsepower Only 14,500 Miles / 2 Calif. Owners Mike's Place is proud to offer this Low Mileage 2011 Audi R8 Spyder Convertible. The MSRP on this vehicle was over $177,500. Here is your chance to own this car for a lot less. The vehicle Carfax history report shows the mileage as accurate. This is a 2 Owner car and has spent it's whole life in Sunny Southern Calif.................NO RUST! Many vehicles from other states experience a rather hard life dealing with harsh weather conditions. Rain, snow, hail, salt roads and cold weather cause all kinds of issues both mechanically and cosmetically. So a California vehicle may appeal to you. Please Note: The reason this car is for sale $35,000 below market value Around 7/29/13 this car was involved in an accident, and instead of the Insurance Company paying to repair this vehicle, they chose to sell it damaged, and as a result this Audi R8 was given a “SALVAGE TITLE / REBUILT TITLE”. I have spared no expense in putting this R8 back to it’s original condition. Car was hit right in the front center core support, and thus missed the structural front frame rails. I replaced the front core support with a new Audi part, also bumper, hood and misc. small parts. Original fenders were not damaged. Car looks and runs absolutely super! Based on the Lamborghini Gallardo platform, Audi's R8 is designed to be a far more usable mid-engine super car. It features more headroom, more comfortable seats, and all around easier to own than its sister car from Italy. This does not mean it has been dulled down on performance. Powered by the same 5.2L V10 found in the Lamborghini Gallardo, the R8's power is routed through Audi's famed quattro all-wheel-drive system. The 6-speed R tronic automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted Paddle shifters, is slick shifting and a blast to drive. And what better way to enjoy the symphonic V10 engine, than with the top down? Reward yourself! Car comes with Factory optional ($3900) Carbon Fiber Sigma interior inlays, as well as Carbon Fiber exterior mirrors. Car has front license plate delete grill. Awesome GT style rear spoiler. Rims have been professionally "Powder Coated". Interior has contrasting color stitching. Must see to appreciate, will not last long, and still has it's "New Car" smell. The interior is absolutely beautiful. The seats show no wear at all. The interior is very clean, very fresh, No smoke or foul odors. The dash is in great condition. All the gauges function properly and the digital display looks great. I tried all the buttons located on the dash and door panels and everything seemed to function properly. The door panels are all in great shape and all the power windows work properly. The Radio works, and the speakers sound great. Paint is absolutely beautiful, NO scratches, NO dings, NO dents! California residents will also be charged sales tax, registration and smog fees. All out of state buyers will be subject to California sales tax if they pick the vehicle up in person. This is legally required by the State Board of Equalization as well as the Department of Motor Vehicles. Next-gen Audi RS4 coming, might make it to America
Sat, Jul 11 2015Let us be frank: The second-generation Audi RS4 was one of the best, most exciting cars of the past decade. A four-door sedan with a 4.2-liter V8, all-wheel drive, and a six-speed manual transmission? What wasn't to like? While you can still get a taste of the B7 RS4's character with the current RS5, it isn't quite the same. That's why we're giddy about a new report from Car and Driver, which claims that not only is a new RS4 on the way, but that it could, maybe, possibly return to the United States. As previously reported, the fourth-generation RS4 will go back to a twin-turbocharged V6, after two generations of unassisted V8s under the hood. As per RS4 tradition, it will also be limited to a five-door Avant body style, because "that is what people expect from the RS4," Quattro GmbH boss Heinz Hollerweger told Car and Driver. An RS5 Sportback could also be in the offing, which might remain more true to the character of the first US-market RS4. The US question, though, remains an iffy one, largely because of the Avant shape. Audi has reduced the number of wagons it's offered in the US over the years, dropping the A4 and A6 Avant, although the former is sort of still offered in the form of the Allroad. But that position might be enough to keep the next-gen RS4 off our shores, although as the Quattro boss told CD the US market is changing and "there is more demand there [for wagons], so maybe that will change." Well, Herr Hollerweger, we're here to tell you that America loves wagons, and that you should put the next-gen RS4 on sale over here post haste. Danke.
Le Mans champion Allan McNish retires from LMP1 racing
Tue, 17 Dec 2013Having won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times, the American Le Mans Series title another three times and, most recently, the FIA World Endurance Championship, Allan McNish doesn't have much left to prove. Which is why he's retiring, ending this stage of his 33-year driving career on a high note.
In a statement just released by McNish himself and his team at Audi, the Scotsman said "I've had a fantastically successful time with Audi and feel it's the right time to step back from Le Mans sports-prototype racing and to look at other opportunities."
Just what those other opportunities might be is another matter. He's raced in DTM, Formula One and the International Formula 3000 series, where he won two races in 1990. McNish, 44, is also part of the BBC Radio's F1 commentary team, serves as president of the Scottish Motor Racing Club and is often called upon by the FIA to act as a grand prix race steward. Audi says he'll continue to be part of the team, just not in the driver's seat. Given his success in endurance racing, he's surely got a wide variety of opportunities to pursue, and we're looking forward to seeing where he lands.
