Not much else to say. Custom ONE-OFF twin turbo widebody R8 built by owner of Topspeed Motorsports and professional
race car driver Lehman Keen. This car has never been offered for sale to the public. I happened to come across the
link above on this build and had to have it. I called the owner of Topspeed Motorsports and pretty much persuaded
him to sell it to me. Having owned it just over 1 year now, (I'm known for going through cars in 6-12 months
unfortunately) it's time to let someone else enjoy this incredible one of a kind build. Before the car was
delivered to me, Topspeed Motorsports went through the car thoroughly; changing ALL fluids and performing a
leakdown compression test, etc... etc.
~Car has a brand new complete upgraded clutch assembly installed by local Audi dealer.
~R8 GT tail lights.
~Paint correction and Ceramic pro applied to every inch of the car.
~Paint protection film (PPF) applied to entire front bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, headlights, areas behind both
front and rear of wheels where typical road rash could occur.
~Wing is removable in about 15 minutes if you don't want that complete LMS look taking over the road.
~Yellow film on headlights is also removable with ease. *FILM HAS NOW BEEN REMOVED
The car is an absolute head turner and takes all the attention at nearly every show or event it attends.
This is not just a standard R8 with a Twin Turbo slapped on it like you'll see otherwise. There is no other
widebody build like it. This is not a widebody "kit" This was all hand laid and formed; not to mention every aero
component is functional and serves a purpose.
Runs flawlessly and no different from stock or an everyday R8 until you drop a gear and hit the throttle. Sounds
amazing as well.
So to sum it up, you get a car that runs as if it came right out the factory, (only much, much, more power) still
has all the factory comfort and features of an R8, but looks like a legit Lemans race car made for both the track
and street! Did I mention...... it has the incredible 6 spd. gated shifter that nobody produces any more.
Receipts for ...
**Over $170k into this build!!

Audi to abandon CVTs?
Thu, 24 Jul 2014The continuously variable transmission is one of those technologies that seems to make a lot of sense on paper, but in reality, almost always numbs the driving experience. That's one reason why Audi, according to reports, is planning to phase them out.
One of the first automakers to implement use of the CVT, Audi mates CVTs to larger engines than many other manufacturers, which typically install them on scooters, hybrids and small-displacement hatchbacks. But the time of the Audi CVT (which it calls Multimatic) may be near its end as a report from Australia indicates that Ingolstadt is moving toward a two-gearbox lineup that does not include the rubber-band transmission.
Instead, Audi is said to be focusing its attention on the S-tronic dual-clutch transmission and on conventional torque-converter automatics - although the development of beefier DCTs could spell the end of the Audi slushbox, as well. We've reached out to Audi for comment, so watch this space for confirmation.
2016 Audi S6
Mon, 17 Nov 2014Minutes after spending time in the refreshed 2016 Audi A6 in Germany, we were tossed the keys to its enthusiast-tuned sibling, the Audi S6. In similar manner to its lesser brethren, the S6 has also been updated for the 2016 model year with a new look, a boost in power and additional technology.
Its aggressive demeanor is heralded by a redesigned signature single-frame grille, resculpted bumpers (front and rear) and new lights on both ends - the Matrix LED headlamps fitted to our European test car are impressive, but the US DOT has ensure that we won't see them (pun intended) for now. The cabin appointments have gone even further upscale, and the enhanced MMI infotainment system now runs more fluidly thanks to a faster NVIDIA graphics chip. The primary instrument cluster, facing the operator, has been redesigned to offer its own duplicate display to ease the driver's workload.
Under the hood, the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter TFSI V8 is bumped to 450 horsepower (a gain of 30), while torque remains the same at 406 pound-feet. The standard gearbox is Audi's seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch unit, sending power to all four wheels through the automaker's rear-biased Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system.
Audi RS Q3 gets snarlier, hits 62 mph in 4.8 seconds [w/video]
Thu, 06 Nov 2014Well, that was quick. A mere 20 months after its debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Audi has issued a fairly significant update to its RS Q3 crossover. A light exterior refresh - the most noticeable change is that the grille surround and headlights are now joined - belies more significant changes under the compact crossover's hood.
Power from the 2.5-liter, turbocharged five-cylinder has been boosted nicely from 310 horsepower to 340, while torque has jumped from 309 pound-feet to 332 lb-ft. The result of this extra thrust is that the tiny CUV can now scamper to 62 miles per hour in a seriously quick 4.8 seconds, rather than the original RS Q3's 5.5-second sprint. A new fifth-generation multi-plate clutch is fitted to the seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission, which Audi claims will now deliver even quicker shifts.
Lighter brake rotors with ridiculous eight-piston calipers in the front provide what we imagine is a lot of stopping power, while Audi continues to offer an optional adaptive damper system. 19-inch wheels are standard while 20s are optional.
