2008 Q7 3.6l V6 Premium One Owner Only 43k Miles on 2040-cars
Tampa, Florida, United States
I originally leased this vehicle new and was so pleased that I purchased at the end of lease. It has always been serviced through Audi and records are readily available. The condition of the vehicle is very good even for its low mileage. There is a small door "ding" on the rear passenger door which is highlighted below. It is hardly noticeable. Most of the miles on this vehicle are highway and the interior shows very little wear if any on seats. This vehicle has always been garaged but I've recently moved and my beloved Q7 does not fit in the garage. If you live in or have visited Florida you know that this is less than optimal. Therefore I have decided to sell this vehicle and move into the smaller Q5. An impressive collection of premium features and a sharp interior design make the 2008 Audi Q7 a solid choice for those who desire a seven-passenger luxury crossover SUV. It's sport-oriented handling, high-tech luxury and safety features, superior interior design and craftsmanship really set it apart from the other vehicles I inspected prior to purchase. The Q7's basic floor plan is a cousin of that which underpins the VW Touareg and Porsche Cayenne, but this Audi has three-rows, and is a seven-seat model, unlike those utes. The Q7 body is all Audi, and confidently the best-looking of the trio IMO. Sharp cutlines give athletic definition to the profile, and the body curvature on the rear end around the taillamps manages to look clean and simple when it's really a complex set of shapes. The body encases a cabin with three rows of seats and, Audi says, 28 seat/cargo configurations. That's because the third-row seats fold flat and the second-row seats move back and forth four inches to create more legroom, as well as fold flat. Audi says the cargo hold, with two seats up and two rows folded, leaves 88 cubic feet of space for ferry duty. The seating areas are comfortable. The second row has plenty of legroom, while the third is predictably smaller for adults--but even back there, the nearby trim panels have molded cup holders, and flipping and folding the seats into desired positions is an easy task even for 100-pound moms. And getting access to the area is no chore; the power-operated tailgate is skinned in lightweight aluminum. Inside, the Q7 has a rich leather and wood interior with uncluttered lines. Leather seats are standard, along with automatic climate control, a power tailgate, the Multi-Media Interface (MMI) system, 18-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, and keyless entry. Major options included are cold-weather package with heated front and second-row seats and a heated steering wheel, as well as a rearview camera with Audi parking system advanced, bluetooth mobile phone, panoramic sunroof, and four-zone climate control. The Quartz grey exterior is also an upgrade. Audi stocks the Q7 with dual front, side, and curtain airbags, along with anti-lock brakes, stability and roll control. Rear side airbags are optional and included. Notes from day one of the Rolex 24 at Daytona
Sat, 26 Jan 2013We came to Daytona Beach, Florida where you can drive on the beach, gun shops outnumber doughnut shops and you can putt-putt and fish for alligators at the same place. But we're not here for any of that - we've made the trip with Audi in order to experience the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the first race in the 2013 Grand-Am season and the only 24-hour race in America.
Three teams are racing four Audi R8 Grand-Am cars - WeatherTech Racing, Rum Bum Racing and APR, which is running two cars. Shown to the world two years ago, the R8 Grand-Am is part of Audi Sport's R8 LMS customer racing program that was commenced in 2008, and ever since 2009 has been nabbing success all over the world: In four years it has taken 154 victories and 17 series titles. That is with less than 100 cars sold to customers throughout the world, and the trophies - either class wins or overall victories - have been gathered from all of the major endurance races except one: Daytona.

Subaru WRX STI vs. Audi S3 in compact AWD dustup
Wed, 23 Jul 2014It's not every day that a Subaru and an Audi can be reasonably compared head-to-head; the two brands tend not to compete directly in their respective segments. However, the latest WRX STI and the S3 Sedan offer the perfect chance to find out if the working-class Scooby can beat its upper-crust competitor.
The UK's Auto Express gets behind the wheel of these two all-wheel drive performance sedans, or saloons as the Brits call them. Across the pond, both of them are rated at an identical 296 horsepower, but the Subaru edges out the Four Rings on torque. Like in the US, British buyers have to pay a little more to get the Audi, but it comes with a nicer interior and more brand cachet, if that means anything to you.
The video starts out with a fairly standard road test comparing the two of them back-to-back - all fairly subjective. But then Auto Express takes the trip to the drag strip, and the results there are much more conclusive. There's a definite winner when they cross the line, but you have to scroll down to see which of these turbocharged models with rallying heritage wins out.
