Beautiful 2003 Audi Allroad for your consideration. Body is clean except a small dimple in the rear bumper. Paint is beautiful...shines like new. No rust. We are only the second owner and it had always been smoke free. The only reason we are selling it is the wife needed a truck for work and we can't afford to make repairs to this one, so someone will get one heck of a deal. Oil was changed every 3000 miles with Mobil synthetic. Car runs mint ,turbo sound great. Timing belt was done at 135,000 miles . Replaced exhaust gas temperature sensors 2 months ago. Interior is mint . Two tone heated leather seats front and back. All work as they should. Sunroof works with no leaks. All windows work as they should. Stereo sounds wonderful. Cassette player and 5 CD changer. Heat and A/C work. Air ride suspension works and the air compressor was replaced within the last year. The transmission shifts nice, all gears are smooth, no slipping BUT there is a wobble that I think is coming from the torque converter because the check engine light is on for the torque converter. I have a brand new converter but just haven't had the time to put it in. It could use front bake pads and the pedal was feeling a little spongy to me, so I bought a new master cylinder, but have not installed it. Most of the front control arms are new, within the last couple of months, except the 2 upper front right. I have them they just need to be installed. The torque converter, control arms and master cylinder are new, quality parts and come with the car. This 'as is' Audi is an excellent deal for someone who has the time to finish the repairs that I don't have the time to get to. It has a clean title. It has snow tires that are probably 80 %. It is missing two of the center caps. The car is being sold as is so ask any questions you may have. My name is Brett my cell is 516-250-7563. The car is located in 12434, so come take a look. Thank You.

For Audi, Quattro name means something for hydrogen cars, too
Fri, Dec 5 2014Forget Dueling Banjos. Audi is proposing "Dueling Motors" for its Audi A7 Sportback H-Tron Quattro concept vehicle. All in the name of appropriate pickup, of course. The German automaker, which showed off the concept sedan at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month, is pairing a plug-in electric motor with a hydrogen fuel cell powertrain. Each motor powers two wheels, maintaining the Quattro's all-wheel-drive pedigree. The car's 8.8-kWh lithium-ion battery can drive the car as far as 31 miles on battery-power alone. After that, the water-vapor-spewing fuel-cell engine kicks in. Audi executive Ulrich Hackenberg told Automotive News Europe that the unusual set-up is necessary because the hydrogen fuel cell powertrain alone would only power two wheels while providing an insufficient 136 horsepower. Not exactly sport-sedan material, especially for a car that weighs about 4,300 pounds, even if it is a zero-emission ride. Combined, the two engines give the sedan 231 horsepower as well as a combined single-charge/full-tank range of almost 350 miles. What it all means is that the A7 can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than eight seconds and has a top speed of about 112 miles per hour, and can still dash through the snow.
Audi testing long-tail version of R18 e-tron quattro for Le Mans
Sat, 27 Apr 2013Race teams are always looking for ways to shave hundredths of seconds of their lap times. Case in point: Audi is making some slight changes to its prototype racecar to make it ever so much more slippery as it cuts through the air.
Debuting at the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship at Spa on May 4, Audi will be testing a long-tail version of its R18 E-tron Quattro racecar. As its name suggests, the long-tail car gets a lengthened rear section with the goal of improving aerodynamics. The long-tail will be run alongside the standard version of the racecar as a testbed for possible changes that might be in store, heading into the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Audi did not say how many inches were added to the racecar, but as you can see in the image above, "long-tail" definitely doesn't take on the same meaning of classic long-tail cars of the past such as the Porsche 917. More information about the car, Audi's team and even some info about the track itself can be found below.
'Worldwide, every third Audi will be an SUV by 2020'
Tue, 07 May 2013Automotive News Europe reports the new Audi manufacturing facility in San Jose Chiapa, Mexico will increase the automaker's production capacity for the Q5 SUV by 150,000 units per year. While the plant will supply every market with the exception of China, most of the production is slated to head to the US.
While speaking with ANE, Audi CEO Rupert Stradler said, "Worldwide, every third Audi will be an SUV by 2020." So far this year, 40 percent of Audi vehicles sold in the US have been light trucks, with the company's sales in that segment jumping by 53 percent. By comparison, Audi passenger car sales have increased by just one percent.
The first Q5 vehicles from the San Hose Chiapa plant will show up on dealer lots in 2016. Audi of America recently received a larger 9,000-unit allocation of Q5 models after seeing sales increase 36 percent through April compared to the same period in 2012.
