Hello,
Here is my beloved Audi Allroad 2001 with only 71K miles for sale. The car is in great shape mechanically. It has been in the NY area since new. Always highway driven and adult driven. No teenagers, no heavy footed drivers. The car is recently serviced in Audi dealer and everything works great with the exception of a few very minor things which I never bothered . THE AIR SUSPENSION WORKS GREAT. This is the most important feature of this car and if you are looking for this type of car, of course you know about it. It has been serviced just a few months ago with all new Audi parts as well as the several front end parts. All tie-rods, upper bushings, links etc are new as well as new set of tires with less than 3000 miles in the front and less than 10K miles in the rear ( my wife hit a pothole and one of the tires ballooned on the side so I changed both front tires as a result). Tires are four season Coopers and they are the best four season tires for the snow ) The car is large, incredibly comfortable and quiet. It packs serious torque and power with a twin turbo 2.7 liter engine. I just changed the synthetic oil and the old oil came crystal clear. Even though I use the synthetic oil that is supposed to last 15000 miles, I always change it every 3000. It costs about 150 dollars to change it but I think it is worth the investment. The car has minor scratches, dings etc which I never bothered with since in NYC someone is sure to open a door on you no matter what, but the interior is very clean. I have two sets of mats- snow and carpet. The car has every option imaginable from heated seats to dual zone ac to rear ac to who knows what. If you live in a snow region or go skiing, this is your car. I dont even bother to dig the car out, I just raise the level to the highest and drive over the snow. The car is fully off road shielded on the bottom even though we never really went off roading :) The air suspension is an amazing feature. Some people worry it breaks easily and they are perhaps right. I made sure it was serviced and never had problems. I know there are a lot of aftermarket parts that are very cheap and do a great job but I always opted for Audi ( expensive stuff, I must confess) My loss is your gain. This is a great car that will serve you well for many years to come. The only repair it will need is the rear break pads. The dealer told me they were low and I did not bother to change them as I have a new car coming, but it is $300 if you do it in the dealer of 120 outside ( probably the same exact parts). You are welcomed to have the car inspected before bidding on it. I can also give you a test drive in NYC. I will deliver for free within 50 Miles once full payment is received. I can also hold the car for a maximum of 7 days after the payment. I can store it at your expense of $20/day after the seven day period. This is a used car and is being sold as is. Please do not assume anything and ask any question you may have. I am selling the car because we are getting a new Audi Q7 which has very similar features but it has a third row seat. That's all. Otherwise, this is my absolute favorite car and I loved every minute of having it. This is incredible luxury and class under 10K. Good luck bidding. |

Daily Driver: 2015 Audi S7
Thu, Apr 23 2015Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, featuring impressions from the staffers that drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2015 Audi S7, reviewed by Seyth Miersma. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. Watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT [00:00:00] Hi, all. This is Seyth with Autoblog. I'm here driving the 2015 Audi S7. I'm caught in a kind of annoying, normal, end-of-the-work-day suburban traffic right now, but even that helps to illustrate the point that I'm trying to make about the S7, is that it really is one of the best all-around grand touring cars that you can buy. A really, really good grand tourer has to do three things. [00:00:30] One, it has to look amazing. It has to feel really special inside and out. The second part is that it's got to be a great long-range cruiser. It needs to be powerful on the highway, be able to be very comfortable and quiet if you're taking it long distances, kind of like your typically Autobahn car. Three, and I think this is really difficult with the second one that I mentioned, I think that grand tourers have to be really great at driving like sports cars. [00:01:00] You're going along and you're touring on the highway and you know that a really great road is coming up. The car should be able to get off on that road and handle like something much lighter and still have that great cruising character. That's one of the reasons why I've always liked the entire Audi A7 line, but especially this S7 because the A7 itself in all of its guises is really a pretty great cruiser and a really practical all-around car with the space in the hatch [00:01:30] and reasonable room in the back seats. The S7 with the turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 making 420 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque really amps up the sportiness. Now don't get me wrong, the S7 is far from a sports car. It's not very light. It's got a long wheelbase. It is nimble, especially with Quattro, but it doesn't feel especially nimble. It doesn't want to change directions super quickly. It splits the difference between the two. That being said, [00:02:00] when you get up to some of your favorite roads, it doesn't disappointment you either because of all the power and grip and some pretty decent sporting character available. Of course one thing that you do lack in a big GT like this S7 vs.
Audi's fastest cars won't catch your drift
Tue, Mar 28 2017"I don't like them. I do not see the reason for them. We do not see the sense in sitting there burning the back tires. It's not fast." – Stephan Reil Drift modes are popping up in sports cars all over the world, but Audi Sport development boss Stephan Reil refuses to have anything to do with them, insisting they're a waste of time and tires. So if you want to show off with a wild-looking, tire-smoking, perfectly controlled drift in an Audi Sport model, you will have to brush up on your car control, not your button pushing. "No drift mode. Not in the R8, not in the RS3, not in the RS6, not in the RS4," Reil said. "I don't like them. I do not see the reason for them. We do not see the sense in sitting there burning the back tires. It's not fast." That seems a bit like Reil and his team are missing a trick that is proving popular with enthusiast buyers and isn't technically difficult to do. It's also a whole lot safer than holding down the skid-control button for long enough to switch off all the electronic safety nets, which Audi Sport will actually let you do. "You can do it yourself [drifting] with the ESP off, if you hold it [the button] for three seconds," Reil challenged. "Then it will not intervene for you even when it [the car] is fully out of control, because that's what you asked it not to do. "You wanted the full control by pushing that button. You got it." Almost every fast car, from Ford to Ferrari, now comes with (or soon will) a drift mode so drivers can just stomp on the gas and turn the wheel to instantly look like rally stars. The dangers of do-it-yourself drift control (which our forefathers used to call "driving") make up most of the moral defense for the companies that use the computer-controlled versions. While critics have called drift modes irresponsible, proponents argue that it is far safer than switching off all the safety nets, because there is still a level of skid-control safety behind it. "Drift control is a lot safer than just turning everything off," BMW M chief Franciscus van Meel said during the launch of the M550i xDrive. "The drivers can enjoy the car on a track but it still has another level of safety to catch them if they make a mistake." View 23 Photos But is that extra level of safety actually for the common good? Critics note there is no way to restrict drivers using drift modes on suburban streets.
Audi RS3 spy shots foreshadow an ultra-hot hatch
Fri, 04 Oct 2013Not all vehicle prototypes and mules require heavy camouflage - sometimes they can be hidden in plain sight. That's probably what Audi was hoping for while testing its new RS3 wearing S3 duds, but thanks to some visual and audible telltales, our spy photographers were able to recognize this as a precursor to the marque's ultra-hot hatch testing near the Nürburgring.
Our photographer noticed the signature exhaust note of a five-cylinder engine, which suggests the RS3 could borrow its motivation from the excellent TT RS. Producing at least 340 horsepower, this 2.5-liter turbo powerplant could be the perfect answer for the new A45 AMG from Mercedes-Benz. The big brakes on this RS3 mule give us our best idea about the car's high-performance intentions, with Audi RS wave brake rotors and six-piston calipers peering out from behind the oversized wheels.
In production form, the RS3 should have a much different appearance from what you see here, with sportier design cues including oval-shaped dual exhaust outlets and a more aggressive front fascia. While we're still waiting for our first taste of the S3 in the North America, we'll be holding our breath for the RS3 to make its way here, as well.
