I have a 2001 Audi Allroad for sale. I bought this car used because I live on a bluff and needed an all-wheel drive vehicle to get up the drive. It is the best winter car I have ever driven and can drive through just about anything. I will add pics today. Cleaning up the car.

The car has height adjustable suspension and a 250 HP twin turbo 6 cylinder engine. The car has 181,000 highway miles and runs great. These cars were about $45,000 in 2001. All the features are listed below. Really a comfortable car and ride. The KBB values are listed in the pic. Around $7K private. $5K wholesale. This is a good car for a good price.. I believe I have all the options except the factory GPS. As usual the car is sold AS IS. I can help with the delivery if necessary, I'm fairly close to the MSP airport.

Summary of the condition as follows:

Looks good and drives well. I've driven the car just about everywhere in the US.
No Rust paint is good
Some curb rash on alloy rims
Some blemishes on back bumper
You have one winter left for the tires and likely will need new tires in the spring
Interior of the car is nice
Air-Suspension works well
Some dead pixels on the display (it's readable, you can get a kit to replace for $50 on ebay)
Bose stereo works well
Air works well
Cruise control is missing a fuse which I have not replaced
I'm missing the two front center caps (can get them cheap on ebay)
Just put new brakes on the rear
Two sets of keys

I am asking $4,250 for the car and am pretty firm as it is below wholesale. I can be reached at 612-570-0612

Edmunds Review
A luxury wagon that stands tall when it has to.
That's one way to describe the height-adjustable allroad quattro from Audi. It has a gracefully appointed interior, plenty of guts under the hood and an all-wheel-drive system for occasional off-road adventures. And when you take into consideration the commodious rear cargo area and a variety of convenience packages, you can make this car whatever you want it to be.
The allroad's 250-horsepower 2.7-liter V6 engine is a proven winner in Audi's A6 2.7T. The engine has five valves per cylinder and uses twin turbochargers to generate 258 foot-pounds of torque over a broad rpm band. The powerplant is mated to a six-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed Tiptronic automatic, which allows the driver either to leave it in automatic mode or change gears manually. Power is distributed to all wheels using traction-seeking sensors that detect slippage and automatically adjust to give sure-footed handling.
What really distinguishes the allroad is the four-position variable-height pneumatic suspension varying ground clearance up to 2.6 inches. This feature also provides load-leveling capabilities due to the number of passengers or cargo weight. A switch on the dash manually sets the road clearance, or you can choose automatic and the height is adjusted according to the demands of the driving situation. For example, the car parks itself in the second-highest setting for slide-in seating. At speeds over 50 mph the car lowers an inch; at 75 mph it lowers another inch. Off-roading can be done with an impressive ground clearance of 8.2 inches. This means the allroad is aerodynamic at high speeds and can still journey over rutted roads without fear of being disemboweled like many wallowy station wagons.
Safety features in the allroad include ABS and a variety of airbags. Besides front airbags, Audi has included drop-down curtain airbags called Sideguard. These airbags protect the head and neck area of passengers, particularly from striking the roof pillars. Additionally, the Sideguard airbags stay inflated for 5 seconds to offer protection against secondary impact and rollover. Furthermore, if any airbag is deployed, the fuel system is cut off, the doors unlock and the interior lights illuminate. When the rear-facing third-row bench seat is installed, it has its own three-point safety belts and head restraints.
The Audi allroad is offered with a choice of packages. The premium package provides memory positions for the front seats, electronically folding exterior mirrors and auto-dimming rearview and outside mirrors. The convenience package includes heated front and rear seats, a HomeLink transmitter and heated multifunction steering wheel. A warm weather package uses a solar sunroof to power interior cooling fans in hot weather and sunshades to screen the rear windows. The guidance package includes a GPS navigation system and a back-up warning system.
With the allroad, Audi has filled a void left by its lack of an SUV. And it has created a versatile, luxurious car in the process.

Woman wins Audi R8 Spyder on The Price Is Right, goes bananas

    Mon, 30 Dec 2013

Of course, we love to tune into The Price Is Right to see average Americans spin the big wheel, play a round of Plinko or Cliff Hangers, and participate in the gladiatorial Showcase Showdown. But there is one reason, and one reason alone that the daytime game show has captivated us since its inception in 1972... 'A new car!!!'
Back in November, the show held a Dream Car Week that saw contestants get the chance to win whips like a Porsche 911 and a BMW 6 Series, amongst others. It must have been pretty successful, as the PIR team is back at it, this time giving away an Audi R8 Spyder with a sticker price of $157,300. That makes it the single most-expensive item given away in the show's history.
The R8's new owner, Sheree Heil, may not fit the image of a typical R8 driver - we anticipate she'll learn which side of the car to drive on after the show is over - but she is clearly tickled pink with her big win. Check out the insanity below.

VW Group to split brands under four holding companies

    Tue, Jun 16 2015

The Volkswagen Group is planning a tremendous shift in its internal structure that will decentralize operations by splitting its 12 brands into four different holding companies. Here's the breakdown. Things will be split logically, considering the inter-sharing of parts, platforms, and engines. The Volkswagen brand, Seat, and Skoda make up a passenger vehicle division led by former BMW man Herbert Diess. Audi, which is tightly intertwined with Lamborghini and motorcycle manufacturer Ducati, will be managed by current Audi exec Rupert Stadler. Porsche and Bentley, which are already quite close, will be joined by Bugatti and run by Matthias Mueller. Finally, a commercial vehicles division will include Volkswagen Commercial, Scania, and Man. Former Daimler exec Andreas Renschler will take care of the big vehicles. The massive move, according to Automotive News Europe, is part of an internal VAG effort to move away from the structure established by ousted Chairman Ferdinand Piech, who favored a compact, but highly centralized, management structure to oversee the independent actions of the company's brands. Criticism of Piech's arrangement stemmed from the company's slow responses to changes in the market, ANE reports. The new structure should make for a more efficient, streamlined company that's better able to make crucial decisions. What are your thoughts? Should VAG decentralize, or did Piech have the right idea? Have your say in Comments.

Audi claims World Endurance Championship at Fuji

    Mon, 21 Oct 2013

It's been a successful racing season for Audi so far this year. After claiming the drivers' title in the DTM series, the German automaker has successfully defended both its titles in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The decision came after heavy rain ended the 6 Hours of Fuji after only 16 laps, virtually the entire race having been run behind the safety car. Although Alexander Wurz, Nicolas Lapierre and Kazuki Nakajima won the race for Toyota - the Japanese automaker's first this season - the second-place finish achieved by Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen and Loïc Duval propelled Audi Sport Team Joest out of its challengers' reach.
While the actual drivers' title still remains in contention, the battle now comes down exclusively to the two leading Audi trios: McNish, Kristensen and Duval hold the lead with 147 points ahead of André Lotterer, Marcel Fässler and Benoît Tréluyer, who hold 106.25 points in the standings. Either way, Audi will be awarded both the drivers' and manufacturers' titles in the series with two races still to go in Shanghai and Bahrain.
