Absolutely gorgeous 2013 Allroad with very few miles on it.  Just broken in at 5900.  EPA 27MPG highway, but it returns 34MPG with relative ease, and at 75MPH!
Imported from the USA Jan30/13.  Duty paid, import fees paid, RIV inspection done.  IT'S READY TO ROLL!

Non smoker.  2 previous owners: Audi of Huntington (6 months, as a demo) and us (Autoraven).  There is one MINUTE (need a microscope to see it - photo #24) little scuff (+-1"x1") on the plastic fender cladding, to viewer's left of the grill, below the metal.  Apart from that, the car is 100% ABSOLUTELY PERFECT AND AS NEW.

This Allroad is priced WAAAAAAAAY below Canadian market value.  We're talking $1000's.  To beat this price you'd have to go fetch one in the States for yourself.  Is that your idea of fun?  Probably not.
SO COME AND GET THIS ONE!  You won't find a price anywhere close to ours.  And b/c Autoraven is a licensed and bonded dealer in New Brunswick, you have the option to finance any or all of your purchase at your local bank or credit union.

A similarly equipped new Allroad in Canada rings in at around $57,5k (plus hst).  And similarly lightly used Allroads (in Canada) will run you $53-54k.

You may ask: "But is this Audi EXACTLY the same as one I'd find at my local (Canadian) Audi dealership?"

ANS: YES, EXACTLY THE SAME, except that the speedometer shows km/h INSIDE of mp/h.  You can change the whole cluster to Canada spec if you want (for $$??), but why bother?  It's perfectly legal the way it is, and you'll get used to it.  And you can set the digital display directly ahead of you to show KM/H if you so desire.

The Allroad is NOT much of an off-roader (FYI).  Think of it as a slightly jacked up wagon.  Audi gave it 1.5 extra inches of ground clearance vs the A4 with which it shares all the basics.  What this does is give you easy ingress/egress and not much worry about banging the bottom of the car on rough roads.

Audi is METICULOUS in their attention to detail, fit and finish.  Everything you need and nothing more is there and in the right place.  The car is smooth, serene: a pleasure to drive - far more pleasurable, and flatter cornering than any SUV.  And on its trip up to Canada in January, it returned an ASTONISHING 34MPG (US gallons) over 600 miles of mixed interstate and state highway driving.

On top of everything, the Allroad is a BEAUTIFUL CAR.  Its lines and proportions are superb.  The 2013 Allroad will be a good looking car for a long long time.

It comes with the balance of its Audi original warranty: 4yrs/50,000 miles.  This warranty is valid throughout North America, INCLUDING CANADA, and includes road-side assistance and 12 yr no-corrosion-guarantee.

rough idea of SHIPPING RATES: NB to AB = $1200.  NB to ON = $5-600.

More details on next Audi A4 mooted, including PHEV

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

With just under two more years until the next-gen Audi A4 hits the streets, it's not surprising that details are starting to leak out. The Brits from Autocar are reporting some information on the 2015 A4, although it isn't clear where any of it came from.
The most substantial news might be in regards to the plug-in hybrid version of the car. We've known for a couple years now that an A4 PHEV was being planned, but the report indicates that a trio of plug-in configurations are being planned, equipped with a 2.0-liter gas engine, a 2.0-liter diesel engine or a 3.0-liter supercharged V6. All engines will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the A4 plug-in is said to have an all-electric range of up to 31 miles.
In terms of styling, the next A4 shouldn't stray too far away from Audi's current design language, but it will introduce a new version of the automaker's signature grille. Despite being about the same size as the existing A4, the fifth-generation model will drop some pounds thanks to various weight-saving techniques with the most obvious being aluminum body panels. Based on this info, we should see the A4 sedan and wagon in April 2015, an Allroad later in the year and a redesigned A5 lineup hitting the scene in 2016.

Recharge Wrap-up: Audi 'Plugging In' video, Citroen e-Mehari rumors

Fri, Aug 21 2015

Audi is sponsoring the Newport Folk Festival with its "Plugging In" campaign. In celebration of the event, a video shows the history of the festival, and how plugging in the electric guitar changed music, similar to the way plugging in an electric vehicle changes the way we think about transportation. The video is focuses entirely on music, but at the end, we get the (ahem) plug from Audi: "Audi A3 Sportback e-tron — Plugging In Across America." Watch it above. The first image from Tesla's Firmware 7.0 update has made its way online. The photo shows what appears to be Tesla's new Autopilot feature. The view of the display also suggests that beta testing is happening on main roads between San Francisco and Tesla's home in the tech hub of Silicon Valley. See the photo and read more at Teslarati. The IRS has published a notice regarding its tax code overseeing the treatment of biodiesel credits. It says that, among other things, claimants must reduce their income tax deduction by the amount of the credits given for alternative fuel used or sold during a given quarter in 2014. Biodiesel producers and blenders were eligible for a tax credit of $1.00 per gallon. Read the notice from the IRS, or learn more from Biofuels Digest. Rumors suggest that Citroen will unveil a concept EV based on the C4 Cactus and classic Mehari at the Frankfurt Motor Show. L'Automobile Magazine is reporting that the French automaker has registered the name "e-Mehari," leading to speculation — and even a goofy rendering — from L'Automobile. There has been no official acknowledgement of the e-Mehari from Citroen, so let's not get too excited yet (especially you, Mr. Ewing). Pre-Race notes from the 2015 Nurburgring 24-Hours

Sat, May 16 2015

Autoblog has come to the German countryside to watch the Nurburgring 24-Hour race, and just one day in, we have to say it's outstanding. Le Mans has been the highlight of our summer racing schedule for the past few years, the 'Ring 24-Hour event being the appetizer we always skipped. Earlier this year, however, while visiting Miami to check out the Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S, we met Scott Preacher. He oversees digital marketing for both Cigarette and AMG during the week, then comes to Germany to compete in the VLN race series on the weekends, driving an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 for Team Mathol. If Le Mans is the Oscars of endurance racing, the Nurburgring 24-Hour race is the Screen Actors Guild award – the one voted on by the actors, for the actors. In this case it's the race by the teams and fans, for the teams and fans, even though the increasing manufacturer presence has altered the team equation. We were told that it wasn't so long ago that true privateers could win the overall, but that's not really the case anymore. Front-running teams have heavy factory involvement – Audi Sport Team Phoenix, for instance, which finished in first and third last year, has its own 'Ring race center and is running the 2016 R8; Aston Martin is represented by Aston Martin Racing and Aston Martin Test Center, and Bentley has a Bentley Motors team and uses HPT to run another team. The fan component hasn't changed, though, and you can't talk about the race for more than 60 seconds before someone brings up the battalions of spectators. Every driver we spoke to cited them as the most incredible part of this race after the track itself. It feels to us like a giant German Sebring, with thousands of people camped out in the ginormous, forested infield, many of whom have been here since Monday erecting their ornate camping compounds. There will be parties everywhere Saturday night, and so much bratwurst on the grill that the drivers can smell it when as they're blasting full speed through Wehrseifen. Even when we drove a Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe on a lap before the race, the fans waved like it was a competition. Scott Preacher's Australian co-driver Robert Thompson said, "You come around a corner and it's like you're driving full speed through the middle of a carnival." The race field itself could also be called a carnival, with an officially invited field of more than 170 cars. Even on a track that's 24.4-km long, that's like racing on the 405 at midday.
