This is
a fine example of a well maintained, German engineering and design. This Audi
A8 has been cared for meticulously. Always garage kept and has complete maintenance
records, has had all major servicing at the Audi dealer. It has been hand waxed and detailed twice a year since purchased. Non-smoker,
all highway mileage, and all oil changes with Mobil One full synthetic. This vehicle truly runs and drives great, and needs
nothing.
The paint is
in great condition and the interior is as well. The seats do not have any rips or
tears and the carpeting is in great shape too. I have replaced the front fascia grill
with a factory 2009 grill. (newer design) which makes the vehicle look a lot younger. This was done by a dealer in my area and looks great. (I have the
original grill as well) The Audi A-8 is a remarkable car. This is the model that was featured in the movie Transporter. It does everything well. It has the state of the Art all-aluminum space frame and handles incredibly. The engine is a tuned 16 valve V8 that is incredibly smooth and quiet yet powerful. It has so many options and features it would be hard to list them all but some highlights are the Heated and Cooling Front Seats, Navigation, Parking Sensors All Around, HID Lights, Adjustable Air Suspension, Heated Rear Seats, Power Rear Shade, Soft Perforated Leather etc etc. This car was 90k when new.
With the exception of some
wear and tear such as scuffs on the wheels and a small scuff on the rear bumper
this car is in amazing condition. These imperfections are shown in the
pictures. The mileage is very low for this year. These vehicles are made to run for
hundreds of thousands of miles. If you are looking at an A4 or A6 or even a BMW
5 or 7 series you should consider this car. It does everything well.

Audi SQ7 coming, will have electric turbo
Sun, 27 Jul 2014Formula 1 and endurance racing are already harvesting energy from turbos on the track, and now it's apparently time for a similar idea of boosting the efficiency of forced induction to hit the streets in a high-performance, diesel SUV.
In a recent interview with the UK's Autocar, Audi technical boss Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg let the big news slip. "The new Q7 will be available in the market next year but the electric turbo will come a bit later in the Audi SQ7 available in 2016," he said. The e-turbo system was already rumored for the premium SUV but for the standard model, not this just-announced performance version.
Audi has been experimenting with the e-turbo system for a little while, as an electrically driven supercharger. It showed up on the RS5 TDI concept that used a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged diesel V6 plus the electric system to diminish turbo lag. In that application, it provided an impressive 385 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque and an alleged sprint to 62 miles per hour in 4 seconds. Although, Dr. Hackenberg didn't make it clear if this was the exact layout for the SQ7.
Volkswagen might cut 40 models across brands to save cash
Mon, Jun 20 2016Volkswagen once set out to pass Toyota and General Motors and become the largest automaker in the world. Following months of fallout from the diesel emissions scandal, the manufacturer is rumored to be dropping around 40 models from its company-wide lineup. According to German business and finance publication Handelsblatt, the Volkswagen Group is looking to slim down and remove a number of low-volume vehicles from various lineups. The company currently sells around 340 models across brands that include Audi, Lamborghini, and Bentley. Volkswagen is refusing to comment, but Handelsblatt claims to have sources within the company. Last week, Volkswagen Group CEO Matthias Muller announced a new strategy for the company that includes a major focus on electric vehicles and new technology services. During his announcement, Muller said the company would be cutting a number of models, but at the time no numbers, models, or brands were discussed. Despite comments to the contrary, rumors have persisted since late last year that Volkswagen was looking to sell commercial truck and bus manufacturer MAN. Volkswagen owns truck and bus manufacturer Scania, so even if it dropped MAN, the company would still have a foothold within the bus and truck market. There is also talk of the company selling Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati, which Volkswagen acquired via Audi in 2012. The company's image has taken a huge hit in the wake of the diesel scandal. Volkswagen has set aside cash in order to pay fines and may be looking to sell these several subsidiaries and cut low-volume models in order offset the costs. Despite the scandal, the company led worldwide sales in the first quarter of 2016. The same was true in 2015, but sales tanked at the end of the year following the diesel revelations. Audi moves to patent electric Quattro and active-shutter wheels
Thu, 13 Feb 2014Audi might have a few tricks up its sleeve for the coming years, with the Brits at Autocar uncovering a pair of patent filings made by the German luxury brand. The first is something we've seen before - wheel flaps - while the second is an evolution of one of Audi's trademark technologies.
We last saw wheel flaps on the Ford Atlas Concept in 2013, but the futuristic fuel-saving tech has so far failed to arrive on a production car. Audi may be seeking to change that, patenting the flaps that open and close automagically based on airflow. They can also open if the brakes get too hot.
The second patent is an evolution of Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive. The new AWD system uses an electrically driven rear axle and wheel sensors to figure out when and at which corner the car might lose traction, and is targeted largely at hybrid offerings, which is a field Audi has only recently dipped its toe into.
