2009 Honda Civic Ex-l Coup - 66k Miles - Great Car! on 2040-cars
Avon, Indiana, United States
|
Looking to sell our 2009 Honda Civic EX Coup. Odometer just turned 66K
miles. 66275 at start of auction to be exact. Still using it for short runs to the store, so mileage may be slightly higher by the time the auction ends. Leather interior, heated seats, Air Conditioning, CD player, clean inside,
non-smoker, etc. Exterior has some minor dents from where some dipshit
backed into the drivers side rear wheel well, but not that noticeable.
Last photo shows that dent. Small dent on front wheel well where it meets bumper on drivers side. Both are probably easily popped back out, but would
involve taking wheel off, and wheel well cowling under neigh, and I'm too lazy to do that.
Vehicle was involved in a front end collision in 2013, and was repaired by Kustom Kolors in Avon through our insurance. They did an awesome job matching color, trim, etc. Car runs and handles great. After the accident the "VSA" (Vehicle Stability Alarm) illuminates on the dash panel. When Honda checked the code, they don't know what that code means, nor the source of the error. Has no affect on the car from what they tell us. I notice no difference in driving either. Also, a Tire Pressure Monitor sensor is bad in one of the wheels (we never checked which one), which again has no bearing on how the car handles or performs. We just never saw the need to replace the sensor in the 2 years we've had the car. Wanted to put these items out there so they aren't a surprise to a prospective buyer when they see the car. We have kept up with regular oil changes. Have all the maintenance records for the car. Great riding car, with great gas mileage. Probably around 35 to 40 on the highway. 14 gallon tank, so it won't break the bank to fill up. I set the cruise for 75 to 80 on the interstate, and get around 435 miles before the gas light comes on. I'm sure the gas mileage would improve if I backed off the cruise a bit. Kelley Blue book for this make, model, year, and mileage is $12400 to $12500. Wife is pregnant so we're selling to get something larger for the twins we're expecting. I like this car, the wife LOVES this car, and it is killing us to have to sell it. Otherwise we'd be driving this thing until the wheels fall off. Great car for a high school or college student, or recent graduate. We still owe on this car, so transaction will take place at the local credit union here in Avon that holds the Lien. Upon deposit of the payment (which I will use to pay off the Lien), Bank will send title to new owner, or new lien holder in the event buyer takes out a loan for payment. This is two fold, meet in a public location, and also so my bank can verify the authenticity of the payment. Because of that, expecting payment in cash and/or cashiers check. Will accept a combination of the two. Buyer obviously responsible for all taxes on the sale when they get the car registered under their name. Contact me via email with any questions. No low ball offers (but open to reasonable offers), no trades, not looking for other goods and services. |

2015 Audi Q3
Mon, Apr 13 2015There are two ways to approach a brand-new segment in the auto industry. First, an automaker can take a gamble and introduce a completely new vehicle, catering to the specific demands of the marketplace(s) in question. In the compact, premium CUV segment, we've seen Buick do this with the Encore, and Mercedes-Benz with the GLA-Class. The other option is to introduce a vehicle already sold in another market. Considering the amount of time it takes to bring a new vehicle from paper to production, there is plenty to gain in the short-term with this approach. It's not without its downsides, though, as we found after a week behind the wheel of the 2015 Audi Q3, a vehicle that was initially launched in 2011. Cute though it may be – it was referred to at least once by a passerby during our testing as "totes adorbs" – Ingolstadt's decision to introduce a vehicle that's already been on sale for four years, and is effectively approaching the last half of its lifecycle, leaves the Q3 at a significant disadvantage relative to the newer competition. Despite crossing its first auto show stage four years ago, the Q3 remains a handsome little bugger. Audi's designs, while conservative, tend to age very well, and the compact Q3 is no exception. It's like a scaled-down Q5 in most respects, although certain design pieces, like its more aggressively raked rear window and shorter front and rear overhangs, belie the significantly smaller Q3's figure. Due to its age, the Q3 was, fortunately, designed before the current A3 hit the market. That means it avoids the unattractive, minimalist dash of the A3, opting for a more traditional Audi design, with a strip of brushed aluminum on the passenger's side, a user-friendly center stack and a suitably large nav screen front and center. While the overall layout is attractive, the material quality is not what we'd expect of a newer Audi. There's nothing that feels exceedingly cheap – the plastics just feel old and too familiar. It's difficult to describe, but as soon as you climb in the Q3, things like the switchgear for the HVAC controls immediately remind you that this is a vehicle that's been on sale since 2011. While our definition of interior quality has evolved over the years, our idea of a driver-friendly cabin has not. The Q3 scores highly in this regard, featuring the elevated seating position that makes CUVs so popular with the general public.
Audi promises Super Bowl surprise with Dog Show teaser
Tue, 21 Jan 2014Last month, Audi announced that it would focus its Super Bowl XLVIII airtime on its new 2015 A3, but a new teaser video promises "something unexpected." Even though there's not so much as a single car in this 20-second teaser, we don't doubt that Audi has created an interesting and creative commercial based on what we've seen in recent Super Bowl ads from the automaker.
While we don't exactly see what could be scary or unexpected about the A3 (or even the S3), there is still the chance that Audi has something up its advertising sleeve for the Big Game. We only have to wait a couple more weeks to find out for sure, but in the meantime, the short video is posted below.
The 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona: What we learned, what we saw
Tue, 28 Jan 2014Two days after the flag dropped on the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona, people are still trying to figure out what it might portend for the rest of the season. In 24 hours, two minutes and 24 seconds, 695 laps were completed by the car that crossed the line first. During that time, 67 cars began the race, 18 of them retired. There was that accident, and a red flag. There were supposedly slower classes beating supposedly faster classes. There were 16 caution periods, including that yellow flag. And then there was The Decision. And Then The Uproar. And then The Reversal.
There was also some pretty good racing, so let's have one last look at the weekend. Oh, and there was that 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO Series II...
If you want to skip the reading bits and go to the photos, there's a high-res gallery of 158 images above and a couple more below. Enjoy.
