2006 Audi A8 A8l W12 on 2040-cars
Conception Junction, Missouri, United States
For sale is a great used 2006 Audi A8L W12. Very rare and hard to find.Originally MSRP is over $118,000. This car is in excellent condition consideringits age. There is one small scuff on the rear bumper and I tried to capture itin pictures. It is very difficult to see unless you are really looking for it.The wheels to have some minor curb rash, it was this way when I bought the car.I thought when it is time to get new tires, I would see what it would cost tohave them refurbished or repaired. The only other issues that I know of, whichare small issues, is the tire pressure monitor is not working. Again, I wasgoing to addressed this when it was time for new tires. Not sure if it isconnection issue or if the tpms are defective. It never really bothered me, so Iwas in no rush to address it. Also, there is a warning about adaptive lighting?I had this looked at, at the dealership and they could not find anything wrong. The headlights turn when the steering wheel is turned, so I do not know whythere is a warning? I have owned the vehicle for about one year, bought inChicago, and I believe there have been 2 past owners. Ihave a BMW 550 xDrive that has been modified and tuned to over 500hp and thisAudi can keep up from a dead stop, but blow the doors off the BMW if we arecruising on the highway.

2015 Audi A3 gets augmented reality app in place of owners manual [w/video]
Tue, 13 Aug 2013There have been a few, seemingly half-hearted, attempts at reinventing the owner's manual - that thick stack of bone-dry information that you only look at if you're well and truly stumped. Hyundai tried swapping in iPads with the Equus, which didn't really take, while Chrysler switched its owner's manuals to digital form in 2010. Chrysler subsidiary Dodge even released a smart phone app that included all the info contained in the paper manual.
Audi, though, may have taken things to their logical conclusion - augmented reality. While it'll likely be more practical once Google Glass and other wearable tech is adopted on a wide scale, augmented reality allows users to project information on scenes, usually through a phones camera, which is how Audi does it.
Called eKurzinfo, the app looks through your phones camera to identify and explain different parts of the car. According to Metaio, the app's developer, the app recognizes 300 different parts of the car. Our sister site, Engadget, provides the best example of the app's abilities - if you point it at the engine temperature gauge, the app tells you what the gauge measures, and if the reading is too high, eKurzinfo will even show you where to find the coolant tank.
Audi Sport Quattro Concept makes video debut
Wed, 30 Oct 2013Audi has stayed quiet about its Sport Quattro Concept since the 700-horsepower, tangerine rocket debuted at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show - a followup to Quattro Concept shown at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Now, Audi has broken the plug-in hybrid out to give thanks to its Facebook fans, which now number over 100,000 strong (103,123 as of this writing).
As impressive as that number is, it does seem a bit strange that Audi USA's Facebook page has netted 7.3 million likes, 73 times what Audi's global page has received. Of course, we're not complaining about seeing the Sport Quattro Concept in action, and neither should you. Take a look below for the entire video.
Xcar weighs in on the five best-sounding modern cars
Fri, Jul 24 2015Getting behind the wheel of a well-balanced vehicle can be a wonderfully visceral experience, thanks to the combined feeling of things like the weight of the steering, the bite of the brakes, and, of course, the roar of the engine. Unfortunately, many of the sensations of driving require actually being in the driver's seat to understand them, but thankfully the intoxicating noise of a beautifully tuned internal combustion engine can be shared with everyone. In a new video, Xcar shares their opinion on the five best-sounding modern performance cars. The list is a symphony of horsepower. As opposed to keeping all of the vehicles brand new, Xcar actually picks a few that are recently off the market. They're all definitely champs, though. While the list itself is well stocked, you might be able to argue with the specific order, and it would be nice to hear a few participants from outside of Europe for a collection like this one, too. No matter. Every listener is sure to find something they like in the bunch, though. Turn up the volume and enjoy.
