Second owner vehicle. Owned it since 2002. Always garaged and maintained. The car runs smooth like it was new. The engine does not have any leaks. All options but the solar panel included. 18"BBS VZ wheels with 50% left 245/45/18 tires. New brakes in front. Timing belts were changed at 160,000 miles. Navigation and 50 states CDs are included. The CD changer is disconnected and the AUX jack was installed for iPod or xm radio. Interior is very clean. There are no rips and it is in almost perfect condition. It has original BOSE speakers and pretty much all original. The self adjusting HID lamps and all lights work like new. The rear shades are also like new. The car has all 4 seat heaters and the steering wheel heater as well. The trunk can fit almost 4 golf bags...

The lower part (used to be plastic black) was painted to match the car. Goes well with BBS wheels. The wheels have some scuffs but not bent. The rear brake rotors are vented. The car runs well and there are no rattles in the car. Still gets approx. 20 mpg between city and fwy drives. There are NO DINGS on the car. The car has minor scratches but for 209,000 miles, it still looks new. The car has newer (UV rated) dark tint all around and it stays very cool inside. Just installed all front control arms (over $1500).

Now the issues part.
The CHECK ENGINE light is on. Lat time I checked, it was MAF sensor and evaporator leak. Oxygen sensors are replaced because the car had slight hesitation.
The AC works but the heater does not.
The EPS/ABS light comes on here and there.
The coolant leaks from the water pump (a few drops)

This car is a very well taken care of and I am still driving the car as a daily driver. I still get compliments from folks asking "what car is that?" It has served me well and I am sure it will for someone else. It si a great running beautiful car and it was serviced to death.

It will come with original manual, two keys and new rear brake pads and water pump. Good luck bidding.

Is Audi readying hardcore final edition R8?

Sun, 12 Oct 2014

The days may be numbered on the current Audi R8, but if our latest round of spy photos is any indication, Audi's first supercar is going to go out with a bang. This camo'd tester was spotted parked somewhere in Europe, and if doesn't at least belie a faster R8, it certainly indicates that a more aerodynamically intense model is coming.
The tall rear wing is the most obvious aerodynamic change. It's joined out back by a none-too-subtle diffuser and the cannon-like exhausts of the R8 V10 Plus, while the front and side of this particular R8 are home to new side sills and winglets on the lower front fascia.
We'll be keeping our ears to the ground for any more on what looks to be another variation of first-generation Audi supercar. Until then, let us know what you think this car may foreshadow. A new halo model? A gentleman racer? Have your say below.

Audi celebrates 25 years of TDI

Fri, Jul 18 2014

Nope, the diesel engine never really did go out of style for Audi. Now, the German automaker has released a video reminding the world of its persistence with the oil-burners and is commemorating the Silver Anniversary of Audi's first commitment to turbodiesels in 1989. And, yes, there are some road racers shown in the clip, so some of those bad boys actually move pretty well. Audi engineers on camera admitted to some of the early TDI engines being "slow" but still valuable for their torque and, obviously, their fuel economy relative to gas-powered engines. A bunch of tinkering later, though, and Audi says its diesels can be a legitimate "part of a performance car" and has even overcome the issue of noisiness that's often associated with diesels. The automaker made some news in these parts a few years back when its Audi A3 TDI won the 2010 Green Car of the Year at the annual LA Auto Show in late 2009, and the model even succeeded a fellow diesel (the Volkswagen Jetta TDI) to boot. Granted, diesel sales aren't nearly as popular in the US as they are in Europe. Still, Audi last year boosted its diesel sales in the US by 40 percent to 10,076, which was about a tenth of what sister company Volkswagen sold in diesels last year in the States. And things have looked even rosier this year for Audi's TDI sales. Through June, Audi diesel sales have almost quadrupled from a year earlier to more than 8,100 units. Check out the 150-second video on Audi's 25-years of TDI production below.

Mercedes considering Audi Allroad rival

Fri, Jun 19 2015

The Audi Allroad is something of an anomaly in the automotive world. Its competitors are limited to the recently released Volvo V60 Cross Country and perhaps the far cheaper Subaru Outback. The lifted premium wagon hasn't exactly done great for Audi, only selling a few hundred examples each month. Its best sales year was 2013, and even then, only 5,300 left US showrooms. Despite these limited prospects, word from Australia is that Mercedes-Benz is looking at launching its own competitor to the Allroad. "We are looking at every single niche, so we are studying this [Allroad] at the moment, but it is not confirmed," Matthias Luhrs, VP of sales and a member of the product management at MB, told Motoring.com.au. "We are looking obviously at C-Class and E-Class, but no confirmation at the moment." Fortunately, Luhrs recognizes that the Allroad isn't exactly a smash in the US. "In the US, no matter how long, short, high ... they don't like station wagons," Luhrs said, while adding that the Allroad concept is "developing quite successfully" in Italy and southern Europe. And for those hoping for a lifted C- or E-Class sedan, Luhrs also put the kibosh on that, saying, "We are not studying that." So what does this tell us? Well, it's still far from a sure thing that Mercedes will launch a lifted C-Class or E-Class Estate. And even if the company does go ahead with it, like the rest of the brand's long roofs (E-Class aside), don't expect to see it on US roads.
