I thought the car had transmission problems but it's something else; something in the axle area. I bought the car from an Ohio ebay seller on 06/24/10, so there is rust along the bottom of car. Due to the car sitting low, the front bumper has pulled away. I would suggest to use this car as a parts car."

This car has been my lifeline for the past two years. Up until recently, she has done great for me. This is not by ANY means a new car, I had to invest some money in her, but she was worth it! I recently just had her passenger front axle, upper control arms (front & rear), and inner & outer tie rods replaced on 08/07/13; I had both flex pipes replaced on 08/05/13; all four tires were replaced within a 3 months period.  She's had her brake pads replaced on all four tires and both rear rotors in December 2012. I flushed out the coolant in March 2013. I've only put Mid-Octane in (I know she requires High, but my funds have been limited!) and Full Synthetic oil in & faithfully changed the oil every 5000 miles.

Now...

I was driving home from my sister's house after having the tie rods, axle, & control arms replaced, when all of a sudden she stalled in the middle of the road. The car was still on, but she wouldn't move & she made a very strange noise until I threw her in park. I had, not my mechanic, my nephew's mechanic come and take a  look at it and he told me a number of things it could be-but then he became adamant that it was the transmission. Because it couldn't move & it made that strange noise. He said that AWD & this car in particular have some kind of gears or something in the transmission pan and that it would be costly to fix. He said it wouldn't be worth it to pay $2400+ to fix. So I left my car at my sister's house & that's where it's been ever since. However, when I went back there on Labor Day, I drove her. She moved & didn't make that strange noise, but I could tell that she wasn't right! So I am on ebay selling her to either a mechanic or someone that needs a couple of parts from her. If you are a bit of distance away from the Atlanta Region, I suggest that you make some preparations to have it picked up.

Another thing... I will throw in a brand new driver side axle. You will see it in the trunk in the pics. If you have any questions or need more pictures feel free to contact me.

Upon winning, please deposit $200 into paypal account. I will provide feedback then. Thanks.

See official rules on Omaze. Enter to win this giveaway or any other Omaze experience now through April 23, 2021 and receive 500 extra entries into any campaign plus a chance to win $10K with code GOGREEN500. Simply add the discount at checkout. Whether you like it or not, there will come a day when most, if not all of us, will be driving electric cars. For some of us that day can't come soon enough, and in honor of Earth Day we've put together a list of our favorite car giveaways so you can save some green while being green.  Win a 2021 Porsche Taycan Turbo S and $20,000 - Enter Here If there’s one thing Porsche is good at, itÂ’s making fast, beautiful cars, and the Taycan Turbo S is no exception. Making 750 horsepower, 774 lb-ft of torque and a top speed of 161 miles per hour, punching the accelerator will surely throw you back in your seat. In fact, its 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds matches that of the quickest Porsche 911 ever made, the Turbo S. The difference between this Taycan Turbo S and that 911 Turbo S, of course, is that the only reason youÂ’ll ever need to stop off at a gas station is to fill up on snacks. That and the fact the Taycan doesn't actually have a turbo anywhere in the car. We wouldnÂ’t be reaching for a bag of FlaminÂ’ Hot Cheetos, though, because this incredibly comfortable leather interior is immaculate, and weÂ’d hope to keep it that way. Enter here for a chance to win this prize worth $220,000. Win a Himalaya Land Rover Defender 110 EV and $20,000 - Enter Here The Land Rover Defender is an icon: an intense, luxurious off-roader that turns heads and can crawl up nearly anything. The problem? For the past 20+ years it hasn't been available in the United States and it's never been what youÂ’d call environmentally friendly. But this Defender is different. ItÂ’s vintage, restored by Himalaya and itÂ’s all-electric. At 275 horsepower, you wonÂ’t be thrown back in your seat, but the 406 lb-ft of torque helps make this an incredibly capable rock crawler.

XCAR shows how Audi engineers let loose with A1 Quattro

Wed, 29 May 2013

In its ultimate mortal guise, the Audi A1 Black Edition - the littlelest little guy Audi makes - costs 22,340 pounds ($33,705 US) in the UK and comes with a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder that outputs, at most, 182 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. The Audi A1 Quattro - still employing the body of the littlelest little guy Audi makes - costs more than 41,020 pounds ($61,888 US) gets a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder from the Audi TTS with 252 hp and 258 lb-ft. And quattro. And 17-inch, center-locking, white wheels.
The crew at XCAR gets the A1 Quattro on video, to both question how the A1 Quattro happened and then to praise it even if they never found the answer. The hosannas come too late for anyone in the UK who was waffling about buying one, however, since all 19 meant for the 'sceptered isle are sold out. You can see what we missed out on in the video below.

2013 Audi S3

Mon, 13 May 2013

Coming Soon To Our Shores With Two More Doors And A Trunk
The Audi S3 is not exactly a sales juggernaut, despite it being a bit of a legend for passionate fans of the small German premium genre. In most markets outside of Europe, people may consider such setups as the S3 three-door tested here, look at the price, and then think maybe they should just get a nice A4 sedan with greater practicality for similar cash. That certainly has been one reason Audi has never officially brought the S3 hatchback to the United States. And the 335-horsepower RS3 Sportback? Forget about it nearly everywhere but in Germanic regions, Switzerland and the UK.
All of which automatically turns the new S3 hatchback into an unattainable object of desire for many fans of the four-ringed brand. The good news, of course, for many markets not on the three-door or S3's dance card is that most of us will get a shot at buying the new S3 sedan that will be powered by the same drivetrain tested here. We reported heavily on the sedan version from the recent New York Auto Show and are convinced that there is much for North American shoppers to like.
