Description:

Very nice A6 with Quattro and low-miles!  Vehicle was purchased by current owner in winter of 2010/2011 with under 56,000 miles.  V6 engine still pulls strong and is in great condition mechanically.  Car returns an average of 24mpg with combined city/hwy driving.  Steering is tight and car has little to no rust on underbody.  Runs, rides, and drives great!  Audi mechanic at local dealership was impressed with vehicle and described it as in better mechanical/driving shape then most Audis half its age.  Paperwork includes original window sticker with MSRP price of $42,225

Service history:

Front headlamp, front-right lower ball joint, right front lower control arm, left-front wheel bearing all replaced with alignment at 93,000 miles by local dealership.  New Yokohama tires were installed on vehicle at 72,600 miles with 65,000 warranty transferable to new owner, (still over 7/32 tread left on all 4 tires).  New Interstate Battery installed in Jan. 2012.

Imperfections:

Keyfob remote does not work, sunroof does not work, small paint chip on rear drivers side quarter panel, small paint chip on front hood near grill, small dent on rear passenger side door, scratches on rear bumper (see pictures).

Reason for sale:

We are in the process of buying a new home and will have to part with a vehicle.

Justin Bell laps Willow Springs... in the dark... using only night vision

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

Night vision has made its way into quite a few luxury cars as a night-driving safety feature, but eBay Motors wanted to see if the technology could be used to actually drive the car. Former racer and World's Faster Car Show host Justin Bell grabbed the keys to an Audi A7 and headed to Willow Springs Raceway to find out.
As if driving in the dark of the desert night wasn't hard enough, the car's windshield and side windows were blacked out, so Bell's driving relied completely on the three-inch night vision display located in the gauge cluster. In addition to navigating the track, his producers also threw in a few surprises for Bell on the track. We don't want to spoil too much for you, but based on the speeds exhibited in the video, we don't think 24-hour endurance races will be adding this tech any time soon; that being said, he probably drove the car faster and better than we could have.
Scroll down to watch how Bell does lapping the track using only the car's night vision.

Sunday Drive: From a mid-engine 'Vette to a restomod RV

Sun, Jan 7 2018

Automotive enthusiasts are a diverse bunch. As proof, we present last week's top posts on Autoblog, starting with some really good spy photos of the upcoming mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette. Will it be sold alongside a classic front-engine 'Vette? We have no idea, but we can't wait to find out. Up next is a pickup truck. Can't get much further from a supercar, right? At least both the Corvette and the 2019 Ram 1500 – which will debut a radical new design that appears to eschew the mini big-rig look of past Rams in favor of something more refined – are both American. Decidedly not American? The Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV. The boxy off-road 'ute looks a heck of a lot like the old one, which is probably a good thing, but we know it'll be fancier and more luxurious than ever before. Check out the leaked images below. Also hailing from Germany, but sharing absolutely nothing else in common at all, is the Audi A4 Allroad. We've been driving this all-wheel-drive wagon for a while now, and we like it quite a bit. And, last but not least, is a 1959 bus that's been converted into an RV. Like we said, y'all certainly are a diverse bunch. Audi reveals next-gen TT interior at CES

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Audi has taken the somewhat unusual step of unveiling much of the interior of its upcoming TT Coupe at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. That's unusual, because they haven't shown us the car yet. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised - with the proliferation of technology in automobiles these days, it's probably time we start considering them as much electronic devices as transportation devices.
While Audi has long been recognized as a leader in interior design, this new TT features an instrument cluster that is wildly different from what we've become accustomed to from the Four-Ring brand. Audi is calling its fully digital system a "virtual cockpit," and with its 12.3-inch LCD screen situated directly in front of the driver, it does away with the company's traditional Multi-Media Interface (MMI) display in the center stack. Two modes are offered, one classic option with large gauges and another more oriented to infotainment.
Besides electronics, the actual hard parts of the interior also show plenty of new thinking. With the removal of the central screen, Audi has been able to streamline its instrument panel to resemble a wing of sorts, with jet-like HVAC vents that house their own controls. Two more points for controls are presented to the driver, with buttons on the flat-bottom steering wheel and another set on the center tunnel.
